I grew up with a best friend from Trinidad. During sleepovers on weekends we had to wake up Saturday to help his mom make roti from scratch for their restaurant. I haven’t had roti in over 30 years and this method and recipe took me back. So amazing and thank you
Your demonstrations inspire me to try making the curried chicken and the roti. I thank you for your generous sharing of your recipes and method. Bless you.
Omg! I've been searching for this recipe for years!! Thank you soooo much I wish I could give you a million likes!! I had a friend when I was a teenager whose family was from Trinidad, I ate at her family's house in NY one summer & someone cooked this! Every restaurant I went to didn't taste like how I remembered & it's because of the split pea stuffing they didn't add! I'm making this tomorrow 🥰😁
Yum!!! Looks delicious... Love chicken roti but I wish I had the patience to make the roti skin myself... I usually just order it, but I cook the rest myself... And you are right; it’s delicious with pumpkin or squash... Been craving roti for the past 2 weeks then I saw you uploaded this vid... Now I absolutely need it lol!!! Anyway good job 👍🏽👍🏽... Btw are you on IG??? Never mind... Found you... Love your content.
You made this similar to how my mother used to make roti. I haven't had curry chicken and potato stuffed roti since I was a child in St. Croix. This looks really good. Thanks for sharing.
I'm officially in love with how you made this. I'm going to try to make it tonight I'll come back and comment on how it turned out. Thank you so much for sharing this video. 👍🏾😁😍🥰
Ok so it came out really good my roti however was on the thicker side. I think my original ball size was too large and it was hard for me to tell exactly what size they should be but all in all I love this recipe and will definitely make it again. Also I substituted the chick peas for canned white kidney beans. Thanks again sis. GOD bless you ❤️
Thanks a lot for sharing that delicacy Nelly. It took me years back when I used to enjoy roties by the Savannah Park in Port of Spain. You tink it easy man? Lol.
You don’t have too, it’s different variety and all depends on what type of roti you want. if you make it with the split peas it’s called dhal puri, you can make it without and have buss up shot roti or even paratha but those recipes are a lil different. Search it on UA-cam. I find the buss up shot a lot easier to make ❤️
Just saw your video and thought it was amazing and that I will be giving it a try. What parts of chicken you’re using. Thanks for sharing. Peace and Love ❤️. Will be looking for some more of your recipes.
I made roti and it turned out excellent, rather than the clapping method I put each roti in a Tupperware pitcher with lid attached and shook each individually and they turned out flaky and nice 👍🏽. Thanks for sharing again. Next time I make the curry chicken I will try your recipe 😊👍🏽.
I’m about to make this for a friend for his birthday... I’m very scared since I’ve never had curry chicken/roti before. Are there any tips? (From Japan!)
