Dwight grabbing his weapon in self defense is easily the best part of this.
Protect his coworkers at all times
They’re lucky it wasn’t mace.
You gotta be prepared in case a man dressed as a cat tries to sit on your lap…
Correct
I know right lol 😂
Dwight ready to defend himself and the office with his knife was the best part for me.
@@AxxLAfriku settle down buster 😂
@batgurrl I almost fell off my chair laughing at Dwight arming himself. Just have to love that character.
@@gaylasmith5279 🙏yes,I know. There was an episode in which Dwight was told he had to get rid of all his Weapons and he dumped his Piranha into the toilet, and if I remember correctly , Kevin went in and quickly came out and yelled WTF was that😂
@@AxxLAfriku what the hell is happening?
They’re lucky he didn’t go for the pepper spray, ninja stars, or nunchucks.
Jim getting excited when the second actor appears behind Andy knowing how awkwardly weird this will get is a detail I love
I dunno I never saw this as awkward, I'd actually be pretty excited if a traveling broadway play interrupted my work day lol
Steve Carell delivered every awkward moment in the show just perfectly
Am i the only one who didn't watch after Mike left? Lul.
Honestly Ive watched the entire series probably 8 times over my life and I always always stop when he leaves and hugs pam at the airport episode. Oh... Ill watch that 1 after inner circle because Will fcks himself up and comes back into the office in a coma wearing his hospital garbs with the IV still...
Lul! Epic.
Then after that.... The magics gone, that red head lady that idiot old white guy, like who is that guy? So sad... Lul.
I understand the cast had to get paid and finish the show but the show dies after mike left, period
@@holeindanssock156 Lul
The way he says "Andy?" and legitimately wants an answer as to who he is playing cracks me up.
@@holeindanssock156did you actually watch the show? Red head lady is MARADETH!! OLD GUY IS CREED!!! IF YOU ACTUALLY WATCH THE SHOW YOUD KNOW
@@shrimpgabe3812no it’s Nellie and I think robert
All Dwight saw was health bars when they came in with the blades.
This a legendary comment🤣
Michael with that big-“Guy Who Didn’t Get the Party Invite” energy…again…
Haha Frs… he is SO GOOD!!!!
I like how supportive Jim was of Andy this episode
what? how was he supportive??
@@Tomson419I like to think these are bots talking nonsense, I can't live in a world knowing this poor level of social understanding exists.
@@redacted2275 am i witnessing bot on bot crime here?!?!
Pretty sure he was making fun of them
Jim wasn't supportive at all
From Dwight stealthily prepares a knife to Michael's enthusiasm 😂 this show is the best
The knife very visible to all?
@@b2kzangelalwayz and yet no one noticed (except ofc the camera man)
Ain’t nobody gonna recognize Ed’s vocal chops?!?!? He’s amazing!!!
No
Especially the number he did at the end of the episode
he did an entire episode of Law and Order for his audition, how did they not pick him
That was the best 🤣
"Dun dun. Vroom I am the cleaning lady"
Thats my favorite part of the whole episode. I would actually watch that as a one man show
And even the sound effects!
My guess is that it was not an episode of L&O that included a lot of singing, which would be crucial to include in an audition for a musical. I'm wondering how they let him go on that long. I guess he must have been the last auditioner that night and they were just so baffled they couldn't look away.
KUN KUN
My entire life:
“Stephen Sondheim.”
“Who is he?”
For those who don't know: Stephen Sondheim was the man behind the lyrics for iconic musical West Side Story. He's also done Gypsy, Into the Woods, and Company. He's won eight Tony Awards, an Oscar, a Presidential Medal of Freedom, a Pulitzer Prize, and eight Grammys. He sadly passed in November 2021 at 91 years old
Thank you Kim, very cool
@@axeldiaz7960 I gotta wonder if Sondheim saw this episode and what he had to say.
ok Kim
@@emilyholasek63 I bet he did, Stephen would’ve appreciated it
@@nathaniellee5277 He did see it (because of the approval process for the rights to the music)! He apparently really enjoyed it.
I love the scene at 0:37 when Dwight get’s his knife. He’s like, “WTF is going here, an actor raid?”
What belongs to get?
i always thought “andy is actually okay at singing!” and then after years of re watching this show im now just realizing he plays in the lorax and actually can sing really well and im just an idiot
0:11 Jim’s face 🤣
1:40 Creed's face sums it up
I went to a high school that had a very serious theater program. The Sweeny Todd cold open gave me flashbacks to us being forced to watch the plays as kid while visiting the high school in elementary and middle school. That part when they're all panting from the scene is classic theater humor.
I’ve always felt this scene and when Jim pretended to be a vampire was so risky with Dwight there, given his propensity to “defend” the office, added to the fact that he killed a neighbor’s dog that was a “werewolf”
I loved how Michael came out with the biggest smile. When someone finds someone who loves singing as much as them, it is GOLD...
Exactly, I love him so much in this scene. And I hate to see him disappointed then...
0:37 Dwight's reaction lol
1:15 the stomps always gets me 🤣🤣🤣
And with Michael's dumb happy face 😂😂
Michael being so bummed out that he didn't get a part, kind of tells you just how hard he is trying to hold onto the thought that he is the "cool kid".
imagine if michael's in it tho...it's gonna turn it all cringey
Omg dwight pulling out a knife is everything 😂
I love how Dwight was ready with a knife when all of the cast picked up a razor for the song
"Last time I went to the theater a man dressed as a cat sat on my lap." 😂😂
I love that little yes that Jim gives its not just oh Andy is doing something odd for no reason this is legitimate.
"Women cannot resist a man singing showtunes. Even a lot of men can't resist a man singing showtunes."
Fucking truth.
Tbh if I worked in an office and one of my coworkers did this I would be so happy lol
Dwight pulling his own real knife is easily the best missable detail in the series
Michael dumping sugar in diet coke
Yet, 2/3 of the comments here are about it....
Is it wrong that I actually want to see that performance? 🤣🤣
Not at all. This group gives off BDE..........Big Dramatic Energy. The version they sing is my favorite.
0:29 - 0:33 these two obviously don’t have a lot in common 😂 😂 😅
This is the most underrated episode of the series. You should post Andy singing I Try from this episode.
It's the absolute worst. Musicals are an abomination to entertainment.
I wish the writers would have let Andy’s closing night performance go seamlessly-without the cellphone scene.
I know that scene fits his character, but I would have liked to see Andy “win one”- like Kevin & the parking space.
@@skipads5141 let me guess, "IT'S NOT REALISTIC THAT THEY ALL KNOW THE WORDS"
@@skipads5141you must be fun at parties
@@mizzphitzbeta: I have never, ever been to a party where anyone wanted to watch a Broadway musical. Your idea of a "party" is the exact opposite of the definition.
Ed Helms is very talented.
Erin and Andy were an amazing couple, the writers butchered that very badly
It's one of the bigger mishandlings by the writers for sure, they managed to finally get everyone in the right place leading up to Dwight and Angela's engagement and then just dropped the bag at the end.
The fucking boat trip didn’t even make any sense, why does Andy even go on this “existential journey” when things were going so well for him
@@christianaguiare544 It's cause they needed an excuse to cover up Ed Helms going off to film The Hangover Part 3 during the season 9 filming
Butcher!
They really weren't.
My favorite part is Angela: “What the Hell is happening?!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
1:01 I'm with Stanley.
0:48 And Angela
There are just so many things in this scene that made it one of my most funniest scene in the show. Dwight's knife being readied, Angelas spontaneous reaction, Jim's first reaction to the play, and more. It's truly one of the most "The Office" clips of the show.
And Michael making a super happy face looking so dumb 😂
agreed! it was so well done
Dwight with the knife 🤣
You ain't going catch Dwight slipping... Dude was ready to go!
This is one of my favorite episodes ever of the Office! It’s next weeks office ladies podcast, can’t wait!
Dwight preparing to attack 😆
This isn't the first time that the exact random episode I just rewatched is also where the latest upload on this channel comes from
Loving the synchronicity. Or Scrantonicity!
One of my favorite openings
I think we all know who took Dwight to see, "Cats"
"Did you write this?"
0:14. I love how Jim gets excited because he knows something cringe or embarrassing is gonna happen
I love musical Andy so much...
0:50 They are absolutely dying doing just a few minutes of the play lol
Office is probably ridiculously hot
They probably all came up the stairs.
Angela's "what the hell is happening" is exactly what everyone is thinking rn
I love Jim’s reactions at the beginning
I love how Sweeney Todd’s play was in this since I was in a play about it too
"Last time I went to the theatre, a man dressed as a cat sat on my lap"
Well a man dressed as a dog scared Julius from Everybody Hates Chris and thus he punched the actor. So join the club
Their performance was pretty good too. I wish my job gave theater tickets
Was hoping to see Michael's audition from the end of the episode where he does a Law & Order episode reenactment.
Stanley’s face 😂
Dwight's always ready for battle.
When Dwight picked up the knife I couldn't stop laughing. Lol. 😅
One of my favourite scenes!
This is probably my favourite cold open
i love how excited jim gets
The best parts always will be Dwigth taking a blade preparing to attack anyone there and Michael's enthusiasm and creating an awkward situation in the office.
I’m confident Michael would’ve had Dwight kill Darryl’s plumber who got the role instead of him if he showed up 😂
Broccoli Rob would be so proud....
I love but also hate how Michael just assumes he got a role
Love your dark souls wallpaper
I saw the new Broadway revival a few weeks ago and couldn’t stop thinking of this episode the whole time 😂
1:17 - 1:18 That expression is killing me.
Creed’s face when Michael is talking 🤣🤣😂
Stanley’s reaction 😭
This episode so accurately depicted why I choose not to attend local musical theatre performances
Love how Dwight pulled out a knife! 😆
The way Jim says “yess” crunching his fist really shows how much he is annoyed from Andy dealing with his stupid nonsense in the morning while at work
Dwight that’s my guy 🤣🤣🤣
Andy trying to show off for Erin, ends up showing up his boss. LOL
0:36 Dwight self protect with a rambo knife HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
I always love this part
Now that's what I call a wee bit o viral marketing
I swear to God if Josh Groban's Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd isn't half as good as this then I don't want it. And that's coming from a Grobanite.
Kevin’s face when that lady fell in his arms. 😯
This is Great I loved this episode
0:47 LMAOOO Angela 😂😭
I like how Dwight was actually ready to kill all of these people.
Angela’s line is sooo underrated! Pretty much said what we were all thinking, then quickly cuts away lol
Creed’s Face 😂😂
It is just me making sure they aren’t hostile
Jim’s “Yes!” fist 😂
Angela's reaction at 0:47 is my favourite part.
0:50 all of them out of breath
My fav since so far
0:10 LMAO
Me at musicals 1:02
Angela’s “What the hell is happening-“
imo Andy's Play is one of the best episode
I died when Dwight grabbed the knife
*@Dwight* 😆 🤣 😂
stanley's actually paying attention this time
The music in this sow is underrated
I'm gonna do this when I join an office.
Okay but can we talk about how great their Mrs. Lovett’s costume is
that's my favourite song on sweeney todd!!
Okay, but Andy lied-‘Sweeney Todd’ is nowhere near ‘an hour and 45’…with an intermission, it’s nearly 3 hours.
It is if you abridged it.
Abridge Sondheim? Akin to a crime against humanity.
@@boynamedalexxx I mean Tim Burton did it. Nobody complained.
@@mjtruth1039 because Sondheim was involved with the film, heavily. And liked it, as did I.
And I dunno where you were, but a looooottttt of people complained. And are still complaining.
It’s a film-the adaptation works. I like ‘Les Mis’ but I think the film adaptation of ‘Sweeney’ benefits from not being 3 hours.
