It really is a stylish, casual shoe - shows u have good taste! The upper lasts forever, the crepe sole can get a little ragged over time but they still look good well worn. Thanks for commenting! It’s a shoe for everyone all cultures all ages!
Green suede Wallys is fire my boy! Had these as a Kid as well , stopped wearing them idk why , but just copped a new pair today! Feel like a kid again loL! Love is Love ! #WUTANGISFOREVER
And it's not just about the two popular models mentioned in the video. I also had and have several pairs of different style, always soft, comfortable, and durable too. I have a pair of winter boots that are 10 years by now)
I have a pair of wallabees and a pair of desert boots. I have had numerous pairs. They’re comfortable but on some surfaces they are like walking on an ice rink.
Hi, I have a pair of leather, lace-up Wallabees. I'm having a difficult time identifying the style. LHD Made in W. Germany is stamped into the inside of the shoe bed. Can you help? Thanks.
That’s sounds like a really cool find but I can’t give you any extra knowledge. I’m guessing since it has a w. Germany stamp that puts a time period on it so that’s a good starting point.
Thank you. I’m not sure since Sioux was making the shoe prior and continues to do so along with Padmore & Barnes. I’m also not sure how that works in England and if agreements had been met. Curious to know.
Had a pair in the 70S. They were and still are the worst shoes I ever wore. I think it was the sole material. I felt like I was wearing a cement sole tied to my ankles. But they did look great.
Honestly didn’t know about South Africa loving the wallabee it never came up in my research and I’ve never been fortunate enough to travel there - would’ve been happy to include but now I know! In my history of the desert boot video I do give props to South Africa for the origins of the desert boot. ✌🏼
No problem bro we all in the school of life. High schoolers still wear wallabees grasshoppers till this day and its done by the sneakerheads 😁✌🏾 can you please do a video on the vintage adidas three stripe slip ons😁🙏🏾

I couldn't think of getting through the 70s without the wallabee. Best shoe ever!!! 😀
You had them back then ?
I'm 62 - & a recent convert to wallabee's. Love them. ain't cheap, not sure they'll go on for years - but look 'cool'

Great informative video. The Wallabee is the most comfortable shoe I ever worn
Thank you very comfy !
Great video and great history.
Appreciate that 👊🏼🙏🏼
Grasshoppers is staple in South Africa! Very comfortable. I own/rotate 3-4 pairs daily! Thanks for the vid.
Sweet! Thanks for your comment always interesting for me to hear about footwear culture in other regions.
absolutely love the wallabee! i hope to own a pair one day
Definitely a classic…I wish I had some fresh ones but i don’t need more shoes!
Clarks, are one of the most comfortable shoes I ever put on my feet
Definitely….I sometimes turn my ankle in the Wallabee but that could be said of any shoe with a similar sole setup. Always comfy though.

Back in the 80s, that style of shoe and corduroy pants was the staple especially in the catholic schools among the boys
Excellent review. Very cool!
😎👍
Thank you glad u enjoyed it ✌🏼

Haha yes indeed the Wallabee can be an ankle buckler too.

That’s what someone else was saying - I had no idea and I love learning these things. Appreciate the comment. ✌🏼
