I expand my comfort zone making obstacles throughout the day easier to overcome. This is essential to self actualizing and fulfilling your potential in life. 3. I now have a new "friendly" relationship with the cold.. cold outdoor temperatures that used to bother me is now comfortable for me. I see it as a way to continue growing and expanding my comfort zone. .. there are way more benefits I've heard of such as fat loss, reduced inflammation, more testosterone for men but I haven't done too much research into those. just these 3 benefits alone are enough reason for me to make this a lifestyle. ... I'll prob take Wim Hof's course in the near future and share my feedback.

I use to do this for the mental toughness thing. I’d end my hot showers with a few minutes on the coldest setting until my body no longer cared. If I quit before then I lost and my body won. Life doesn’t always come at you in gradual increments. Sometimes life drops hellstorms on you all at once. Building up is a waste of time in my head (with the exception of fundamentals in any craft) when it’s not necessary. Doesn’t take skill to develop resilience. It takes placing yourself in tough environments. Just jump in and push. Always consult a doctor and make sure your heart and cardiovascular health is in order. Sometimes the water shocks you and arouses an adrenal response. Panic is certain especially when you resist the temptation to jump out of the cold.

For anyone training at a high level such as athlete or a competitive lifter this out dated idea of cold showers being good for you is complete bullshit, does more damange than good, does not allow for lactic acid build up and biproducts of muscle contraction to be effectively removed from muscles, also the fact that it slows down hypertrophy and lean muscle synthesis hence not speeding recovery In actual fact slowing it down. Also putiing the body through huge amounts of isometric contractions due to the natural body respone with cold temperature is an extremely stupid thing to be doing after a training session. You have not shown any sources for factual information and this whole video is 8 minutes full of the quick Google search you done to find this unfactual information.
Kalam Shaw I was waiting for a comment like this so I wouldn't have to lol. Uneducated people thinking they are educated smh
Timing and dosage matters bud.
Im starting to have this same impression as my immune system has just gone downhill after starting this. Saying that you should take cold showers everyday is like saying that you should train chest or do squats everyday. Straight out of the ass... Also, this: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1890772 and this: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2789570
What about other benefits tho not everyone is using it like that I use it to help get my brown fat more active and for my body to produce more white blood cells and blood circulation also the anti-depression effects.
I take a cold shower coz i got a red ass from sit ups and crunches. When i went into a hot shower it stung my ass. So i turned it cool.

3:28 You should cite specific studies so we can fact check you
master yoda Do yourself a favor...this claim can be experienced. Seek the experience and don’t rely on a “study”. This activity can be experienced and the changes to your mentality and body can be experienced and thus observed. We don’t need to read a study for this to be true. Just do it and you will see.
furgolf they should cite specific studies. you can’t say, “science says...” and then not cite the science saying the thing.

And www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10418088
The male scrotum is in homeostasis 3 degrees lower than the rest of the body. Talking cold showers increasing sperm production as the testicles are cooler. Blood flow is also increased as mentioned increasing sperm count.
Kyle Reynolds my criticism is not a troll. it’s a reasonable request. i enjoy this channel and i’m interested in learning from it. i would like to do more research here and i’m only able to do that if i can check the sources they are drawing from.
Gerald, the first one just mentions "cold shower" once indirectly (and says nothing to it's every day benefit), and the second one is behind a paywall. Got any others?
