The GPS for lap times, line choice and engine riding data is gonna be SO FUN! Lap times always bring out the kid in me searching for what’s faster. 🙌
It isn't talked about very much, but a mod I did to my 2022.5 Husky 450 was an R&D throttle body and matching Vortex ECU. Along with 14/52 gearing, it is such smooth and manageable power. Very easy to set the idle as well with a simple click knob.
I got to be part of the development of the tracking system over 2 years ago. I worked in the MC industry for decades and as such ended up at Washougal for a private day testing this stuff. KTM sent a bunch of people over. Being a woods rider I was out of my element but what they really needed was semi consistent lap times for tracking etc. Was an interesting week. Seems like it took forever to develop. Same here, I was lower reving and shifted less than the KTM test racer. And was way slower ha ha ha. The Litpro guys were cool and knew their stuff. We were working on the hardware side. Was not easy. The ignition made it hard to bike mount the receiver as it presented interference, not sure how they worked around that one. On the helmet it was fine, on the bike there is a lot of electrical noise to deal with. The KTM boys are no joke, work extremely hard and focused. Fun times.
You haven't done shit in development
Ktm can’t even make a correct swing arms with the 2024 bikes. Ppl are blowing rear hubs all over fb due to something to do with the chain and how it works with the travel instead of using the suspension. Not good.
@@donkeyballs7860 I develop several shits a day thank you.
@@moto3463is extra chain slack that difficult…?
@@kylegarrett4071people complain loudly on Facebook. Ala boomers
Is there any footage of gypsy riding himself? Would love to see it! He got some interesting imput and by the sound of it, some exotic bikes.
Are they talking about the 2025 model frame?
yes the 2023 was so bad that they change stifness of the chassis and other thing ... so 2022.5 was new generation which suc badly and now they introduce 2024.5 Factory which will come to market at 2025
I'd love to hear what you guys think about Chinese bikes. A new Chinese bike is just an old Japanese bike with new plastic. The x-pro line specifically. The titan and templar bikes . The templar X specifically.
JB suspension had a very eye opening video-chain slack. The problem is still not fixed- that much testing and engineering? Just dumb. In addition , same crap suspension- spend 12 G and another 2.5 G fixing the suspension? 😂 Guy I ride with thought he had his suspension dialed in….then he did the spring conversion/ bladder valving rear- had no idea what he was missing. Before someone says ya but the pros are running air 😂 , really? The suspension guys I have spoken with have no idea why the KTM group insists on staying air- well they do- great way to save money for the manufacturer- passing it on to the consumer to fix. I believe Triumph and Ducati are doing springs? The Varg also didn’t cheap out- heck you can even order it with springs to your weight. Valve it and done.
I just put an aluminum skid plate on my Duel Sport KTM 500... I don't think i'm gunna like it the second I hit the dirt 🤦♂️😂🤷♂️
Maybe but your sump will thank you in the long run
Is that because it makes the chassis stiffer
Be hones !!? : 2015.5-2018 was the best chassis that was developed by Legendary RD5 ... respect to RD5 he developed the best bike .. and after ryan the bike just got worse and wworse ..... KTM need RD5 as developer ......
Strava on steroids
IMHO as a 450 Expert in '09, KTM's have handled like GARBAGE from 05-'10. STOPPED RACING IN '10
KTM has total of 333 FIM world titles since 1991. I'm far from a KTM fanboy but that says a lot.
The 09 was handling like a dream
@@mattiascarlsson9479 18 is brilliant as well, last of generation is often a great bike.
I had the 22 350 husky and a 22.5 factory edition 450. Honestly, after 12 hrs, I loved the new chassis, but I weigh 190 lbs and still hit 100+ gaps, ramps, and some freeriding. I just turned 40, though. So I'm slowing down, but I like the new frame, and I can't wait to try the 24 revision🏁🤙
