One thing to remember when practicing and confidence building: Family and friends are the hardest to fool. They feel they can take the most liberties with you, question you, touch you, bend your rules a little, be “cute.” But if you can regularly fool them, you’re crushing it. Strangers or coworkers you don’t know well, will more often than not like being a spectator to this new person doing something they’ve never seen and making their journey outside worth it, whereas family and friends are more likely try to “creatively participate.” I agree with Owen, they are good for practice, but, just to set expectations, one could keep those elements in mind. Great trick! I didn’t see that box flattening coming at all. And I have just the empty box for it!
Beautiful work as always Oscar OwenI love the second method with the gimmicked box as I’ve been doing it in my sit down work for a while. Idk know why, But I never thought of doing it as a kind of ambitious card routine whilst sitting! Thanks for the idea!!! The possibilities for this are endless
I saw the first half of the trick, very cleanly performed, but that last one was completely unexpected and I had absolutely no idea how you did it. Such a good trick and performance.
Wow man. Amazing trick. It fooled me once but I had my suspicions so I slowed it down and saw what you did the second time. You are my favourite magician! Love you man!
For this trick. When I do the second part of it. I purposely put a card on my lap and show my spectator, saying that I’m going to change the card on my lap to the card they selected. This almost always makes it easier to put the deck over my lap since they already know there is a card there. I’m not exactly sure why, but it always makes it less suspicious
I got u first time but the second time my mind just blown . The final one is pretty much match with shin lim .. good job oscar and i love ur tutorial do much .. keep it up
Oscar, you’re awesome. This card trick is a little too difficult for me. But I like it. I’m thinking maybe I force a card on my spectator. Let him put it in the middle of the deck. I have a duplicate card under the table and I now am able to do that first part by pretending the card goes through the table. Now I have a third duplicate of the card with a touch of adhesive holding it inside the box. I let all the cards slide out into my lap, which would let me do the second part without holding it in the flap. I could then show the box and pull out the the card that’s stuck.
Great trick. I love the deck vanish at the end. My only suggestion would be a better way to hide the face up card on top of the deck for the double lift. Turning the deck face down to put a card on the top feels kind of awkward. Instead, try having the deck in your hands in a standard dealers grip, and casually tilted back towards you so as the hide the top card from the spectator. (So, normal dealers grip, but your hands are raised a little as you emote and talk to them so they see the bottom card) Then, as you take the card back, you rotate the deck back and place their card on top in unison, so their card masks the extra face up card on top of the deck. Almost like a wrist kill kind of motion. I'm not sure if this makes any sense in text, but I've been using this move to hide face up cards on top of my deck for ages. You could also include a double backer for this part and it would make it even cleaner.
Wear a ring. Rings are great for performing quick impromptu tricks anyway. Most table surfaces will allow you to make noise by running the ring across the tabletop as part of your brushing action. I tried it out, and with practice, it works a treat. Alternatively, talk over the top of the sound of the cards.
use a table cloth of velvet and hang it into your lap. let the deck slide into your lap. or you can use a card mat. or foam or a pillow. you get the idea....
Oscar I having a feeling that if you go on any global talent then you might be a winner because you are magic is amazing and I'm never seen any type of magic like this before your magic is so easy but if you don't reveal your tricks also it's more complicated and impossible that everyone will believe that your magic is amazing and marvellous all the Best of luck Oscar I hope you hit 10 million likes.
The switch at the end got me, I was expecting the card to come out from under the table. Other than that I could see it all happening. I appreciate that the dirty work can be covered with misdirection normally, which the camera doesn’t allow for. However, for me the way you replace the card to the deck, with the deck face down looks shifty, and I’m not a fan of using the tilt with the show and remove of the top card. For me seeing these in a performance immediately raises questions. I’m still planning to cut the bottom out of a card box and practice this though so thank you.
Awesome style, tutorials, camera work, content, editing, etc. well done. Where many UA-cam channels are all about mediocre content posted ad naseum, I respect you for posting Great meaningful content occasionally. And, In the most hetero way, I love the way you say “Spec-tay’-Tor. Is that an English accent? Seriously, great job Oscar.
wow this Trick is brilliant and I'd really like to perform is, but I don't want to cut my card box open 😅. I it even useable after cutting and slamming it?
For all the people saying, I know how you did it, I figured it out, you didn't fool me. It's a tutorial, he showed you how did you not watch the video?. Great work.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Oscar this was brilliantly done my friend! The only mistake done was by me not finding ur channel sooner😇 Also are u on Twitter? I would like to drop u a follow.
It fooled me twice. I just cannot believe my eyes when I saw it. Cards inside the box went through the table and I was impressed when that happened. Thanks for revealing the secret. The secret is more like what you want your spectator to focus on. That way they do not see you dropping the cards from the box. So you should sit on a higher chair. This is one of the tricks that fooled me the most. Can you make any amount of cards go through the table???
Great trick! I caught everything as it happened it real time, but then again, I was burning your hands and wasn't there in person interacting with you, thereby allowing to get a step ahead of me. That said, the only thing I didn't expect was the 4 at the end to remain in box. I expected it to be the top card from the lapped deck or the only card flipped over within the lapped deck.
Dan Brown used some of these techniques in a video I saw of him. "Devil's Pocket" (?) But you were smooth!! Had I not seen that video, I'm positive you would've fooled me! Great job and appreciate your work.

Wise words! Thanks for educating us all. I’ve hearted the comment so more see it!
Absolutely true sir
Well said
I hate to do the tricks to my best friends. They reach in or grab a card. They just doesn't want to be fooled and the distance is not there.
Demian Aditya
I'm wondering how to drop the cards in your lap without it being audible.
Oscar, your tutorials get the award! I love the way you narrate the steps and I look forward to your videos. You are so talented.
Thank you so much!
You fooled my eyes but not my ears. 2:49 “all 52 cards go through the table and leaving the box completely empty”
That’s what the spectator is meant to think
I know how the magician did that at 2:49
2:18 he dropped the card in to hes legs
Was going to comment just on that :)
lol you guys are not as smart as you think you are
Of course you see how it’s done if it was a live performance you would use misdirected which you can’t do with the camera
I agree! And Albrecht Roth, I Agree With You.
Maybe
0:51 the first card drop
A brilliant trick, and I love how you make your videos. Thank you.
Thank you so much!
I saw it before you even reveal the cards missing in the Box
@@oscar thankyou soooooooooo much
oscar you have inspired me so much and now my family is really impressed with me you are such an amazing magician to share your magic with the world
2:20 look carefully at the box it is squished in

Thank you so much! It’s a great little gimmick to explore and come up with new ideas!

Best trick ever seen in your channel we need more like this Oscar
At 2:15 it’s a bit suspicious when you tilt the cards toward your lap and blush the table with the other hand to divert attention. Great trick though!
Yeah because we do card tricks but our audience won’t pick that up.

Hey Oscar...I started to do magic since I have been seeing your tricks and the teaching methods.....thank you for helping me ❤️🖤

Elegant. Very well explained. Thanks for that.
Brilliant. And with practice. Easy! Many thanks.
Brilliant trick good explanation THANKYOU
But how about the sound when you drop the deck out of the box?
Please explain.
Try using a background music or say something loud at the moment. Also, don't look down to your cards when you drop them
Wear a ring.

Hahaha thank you for the kind words. And yes it is an English accent. Thanks for watching!

So in the demo you used that Marlowe method, one handed, holding half the deck as you picked the card off the table?!
YOU ARE THE GREATEST
Dan Brown used some of these techniques in a video I saw of him. "Devil's Pocket" (?) But you were smooth!! Had I not seen that video, I'm positive you would've fooled me! Great job and appreciate your work.
Though it didn't fool me at all, the stealing was done really smooth and well I almost miss it. Bloody well done mate.
OMG !!!! WOW !
You fool me bro great effect super like :-)
Thank you!
I could see the performance of this being very comedic where, at very end, the magician messes up by squishing the box. I chuckled when I saw that
What is the music in the Video?😅
It says it at the bottom of the description

Why is your voice so magician like?
