      I kinda understand so I'll explain it briefly:
      After the cards are gathered at the end, WLOG(Without loss of generality), let's say the first 5 cards are ABCDE. These are the choices presented to a spectator. When the cards are dealt out, you get A B C D E and of course, the other 20 cards. That's why since one of them is your key card, you automatically know its row. Then when they tell you which column it is, you know their card.

      @@gameryl3900 That's fine and all if the cards wasn't as shuffled. This is one of those tricks thats crazy and even Oscar doesn't know and im sure he's a advanced magician. You can actually fool magicians with this.

      In this trick you transpose piles into rows. Each row is representing respective pile. When spectator is pointing a pile with his card, it's like he would tell which card from his pile he has chosen.

    Oscar this is a great mentalist trick, I tried it several times after learning it and it works each time. I also tried with three groups of cards using the pre-arranged of 2-4-6 of hearts and although the same concept works it does not have the same “wow-effect” as when you use the 5 groups. Thanks for sharing great content!!

    • @DL-kc8fc
      @DL-kc8fc 4 місяці тому +2

      For 3x3 cards (three viewers) you do not have to determine the identification card. You give any 3 cards to each viewer (the viewer can choose them from the package). Viewers remember one of them and then gradually, preferably from left to right (from your side), viewers put one card on the package that you hold in your hand (you do not need a table). Again (left right) the second card and the last third card from all from left to right - (direction from left to right must be followed). Best moving your hand that holds the package of other cards, so another viewer cannot hand over his card earlier. The viewer has the illusion that he mixed them with other viewers. You make fake mixing, take 3 top cards and create a fan that show the audience (value to the viewers card). The viewer "left" says he sees his card. You already know it's the first card from the left. The other three make a fan and viewers state that they do not see their card. You no longer have to show the last three cards in the fan, because you know that more than 9 cards are not in the game, so the viewer number 2 has the middle card (in the imaginary fan) and the viewer number 3 has the right card. In this trick you don't see cards at all - it's all directed by the viewer. Wow effect for 3x3 cards is great in this design, not with the principle for 5x5.

      @jaimealberto1380 Місяць тому

      This effect (with 5 cards) does not work if 1, 2 or 3 spectators choose the card you have as the key card from their pile, so there is a high chance of failing because you cannot prevent them from choosing said key cards)

But the pack of 25 cards cannot be shuffled again because the key card can be shifted. This will not work. Your tutorial is ok. Just don't shuffle the cards after you pick up the spec's packets.

      It's a simple transpose.... All the earlier columns (each column is the pile from which spectator selected his card) when shuffled, collected and stacked in whatever order.... And then spread out as 5 piles again.... Are transposed into rows this time....
      So in this new matrix, all you need is a row number and a column number to identify any card.... Column number is given by spectator and row number is given by your predetermined index card....
      Simple and ingenious.... The beauty lies in the fact that the simplicity isn't obvious 😉

    • @embecmom5863

      @@050138 still dont get it... if you shuffle at the end are you not then risking moving the index card ref card to a wrong column i.e two index cards into one column.

      @@embecmom5863 He is not shuffling at the end.... He is just placing the top 5 cards at the bottom.... Like 3 cards and then 2 cards.... he makes it look life shuffling
      You can actually peel off 5 or multiples of 5 cards from the top and place at bottom and still it works because it only affects the order you picked the sets from different spectators and not inter-mixing cards within the different sets of 5 cards
      Each set of 5 cards still has one of your index card and one spectator selects, it may sometimes be the same card as the index he is selecting....
      So this time when you start placing all 25 cards row wise, each set will form a row and using the index card as reference you can name out the card selected if he points out the column which it is in....

    Wow, this is really great!
    It could even be called a "magicians fooler", because there are some moments in the routine which make magicians think: "Ah, I know the principle."
    But in the end of the day they probably won´t be able to explain or copy it.
    And it is even quite easy to set up this effect in front of the spectators, if you think a little bit about it.
    So you could make it seem to be impromptu, which should kill any audience.

    I see how this works. Look at each spectator's cards. All of their cards are in the same position going across. For example, spectator #2 had 5S JS 4H QC AC. Now look at the 5 stacks at the end. Those 5 cards are all in the 4th position. As long as you don't shuffle them before laying them down, and you go straight across, each player's cards will be in the same position in the stacks at the end. Genius!!!

      But he *did* shuffle them, so this theory doesn’t work….?

      @@jonathanleeming6886 You could only shuffle each pile independently like 8:29. But once you start to stack them up like 8:45, you cannot shuffle anymore, otherwise this trick will fail.
      And if you look 7:53 ~ 8:21 closely and take a note of all cards in each pile, you will notice that is corresponding to each row in 9:29. That's why you need to remember the "key card", it indicates the row of player's card, and the column of that card will be pointed out by spectator.

      Yes, in the initial trick, he *did* shuffle them after each stack was combined…. But not in the explanation.
