woow
Why no keel test😡
Yea yea very nice but the keel test where ?
going out of my way to skip this cause i see no kill test
Yea thumbs down and will stop watching until they bring back the kill test
This show is the best! No drama, no beef, just good fun. The competitors also have great sportsmanship
Sadly not all of them, there were actually a few who took to facebook and reddit when they lost to claim how the judges played favorites or how their blade did supposedly better than shown and they re did tests to make someone fail when they didn't
With all due respect, I also think Keith has superior hair.
Its the beard, it makes it better XD
Dude with the long hair should shave that sad hair off his chin.
With all due respect, Keith is just superior
With all due respect the long haired dude looks like a goat
With all due respect it wil keel
As a Greek I have to say that he killed the spelling of the sword (ξίφος).
Yeah it's not pronounced Z-iphos, its X-iphos or X-ifos
@@xristosstabilo1449 yes xiphos correct
@@agpaok0704 ksiphos

@@aswang444 As a greek myself i can with no doubt confirm this information
_"A little Celtic inspired, but much more simple and traditional."_
---On making a Greek sword.
Don't tell him Greek is older
better word instead of traditional would have been contemporary.
@@trajan1026 I think he meant more traditional than what he was thinking of making, which we don't know the design of
@@ca1694 ok fair but still he definitely sounded stupid for saying it like that
Reminds me of that idiot that put the American flag on a scottish backsword.
NO KILL TEST NO KILL TEST NO KILL TEST
Saved you 9 minutes and 40 seconds.
No I don't watch this only for the kill test so this comment is useless to me.
@@none4174 no one asked you
Nobody cares
Thanks !
@@P51DFreak25 so I have to ask permission to make a comment?
I refuse to watch until they bring the kill test back
But, if you're not watching the show, how will you know?
Am shocked. There is no keeell test.
6:55 When asked if John was ready he says "I guess so." Meanwhile Keith is thinking...I'm rocking the best sword and the best hair.
Xiphos in Greek means sword. So in essence they make a sword sword
There are two words for sword in Greek xiphos and spathi
Too many swords .
Sword squared
@@cyanide4495 its just pronounced spathi in greek : σπαθί = spathi = sword
@@user-qw5cn5qg9r An online acquaintance of mine is Greek.... she stated it is IN FACT correct, "old Greek"
Why did they remove the kill test? That’s the only reason I watch this show...
I do not know if this is truth, but in many videos I read many posts that HC is bending the knee because the kill tests are too brutal and the word kill is used too lightly.
You know...because why should I pay attention at what my son is watching...(sarcasm)
@@fenrir_Lokison9 I mean, this is also old. I don't know that much about Forged in Fire, but I think I remember reading that the format was a bit weird and not always standardized in the first few seasons. It's possible they just hadn't determined that there always should be a kill test in Season 3. Now that I think about it, the kill test guy didn't show up at all in this video. Maybe something was going on with him, or he wasn't a full-time member of the crew.
@@quintonhoffert6526 the kill guy is dough isn’t he? He did the cuts with the sandbag in the video
@@quintonhoffert6526 uhh the kill test guy is the one who did the sharpness test. Clearly you dont watch enough to make a comment about this.
@@quintonhoffert6526 wait, the kill test guy he clearly there
Keith's sword was a thing of beauty, a real work of art.
The xiphos is one of my favorite swords. Been waiting a couple of weeks to find this video on it!
Forged in Fire should have a Lord of the Rings season, that would be so dope. Just swords from the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings!
I don't think there are that many
@@stefankok7962 Seriously? Practically every character has a unique blade with its own name.
And Frodo's blade has to actually have a blue glow to it too 😁
The serie ended.
That'd be awesome!
In wonder how many people watching this show understand that a vast majority of the blades from history (like this one) were actually done in bronze historically....I kinda wanna see those get tested!
Bronze forging is another beast all together, and it might not be knowledge a steel smith might have.
That said, I do remember one contestant using a method to yellow some details on their blade, so it would be cool to see them treat the blade to look bronzed.
One was a Xiphos - the other is an artillery sword.
Keith's Xiphos is gorgeous!
Xiphos is a beautiful design and esthetically pleasing.
Where is the kill test?
This is from S3 so there's no kill test
@@bryanjames7528 thanks...
I was impressed with jon writing posidon in ancient greek on his vlade, nice one
$10K would be nice but I can earn that $10K with what I learned. What a fantastic attitude!
Keith looks like a Witcher character hahahaha
keith is a father that everyone wants
Sorry guys but if you don't have the "KEAL" test, you're missing something. Now the hair was very nice! Lol
I think Forged in Fire needs more credit for its portrayal of positive masculinity. Everyone on this show is such a good sport.
We need the Keel Test!!!
At 4:55 you can hear how pieced together the audio is to make them say what they WANTED them to say lol. Its too funny.
God I’m just in love with Keith’s Xiphos. Would love something like that in a nice resting place on the wall in my groups dnd room
That was a killer sword
Best hair?!?! Idk? Keith has got a nice set of mid 80's Kurt Russell style hair.
They should have a ThunderCats episode and forge The Sword of Omens so they can call the other ThunderCats... I mean judges 😁
Hey Spartan, why do you Spartans use such a short sword? Spartan: It's long enough to reach your heart.
"σφυριλατιθεί στη φωτιά" 🤣🤣🤣
Μεταφραστει στο τρανσλεητορ
ΧΑΧΑΧΑΧΑ ακριβώς 🤣
Good to see Rake doing something productive
8:13 "now, we want a fight to the DEATH" XD
Keith seems like one of the nicest people out there ! And his work was astonishing ! :)
WHERES THE KEEL TEST?!?!?!
Nice work!
Beautiful sword to boot.
It is pronounced Ksifos. (hence the use of X in the beginning)
It's interesting to see these older episodes.
Kill test (or lack of) in this, it's neat to see how much more challenging the tests are now, and of course, the production value has improved a lot.
7:47 notice a fragment flying
5:17 the transition took them 100 years before.
Beautiful
I loved this one , people seems nice.
That is a gorgeous weapon Keith
You’re going to lose a tonnnnnnn of view. I literally started watching this FOR THE KILL TEST. Put it back in please
Love this show
History at its best🇯🇲🖐🙏
Bring back the kill test. In order to understand these weapons in their proper historical context seeing how they function for their intended purpose is key. If anything I'd like to see the kill test done against the ballistics gel dummies in dress appropriate to the environment in which the weapon was used.
INCREDIBILIS!!!!!
How do those coldsteel blades cut ropes 10 times thicker with ease.
Shouldnt a requirement have been to make it out of bronze
A bit late for response, but the bronze age had largely ended in Greece by the 7th century BC
They were made of iron by the time of Alexander.
One word : Achilles
When things people need to realize making a bigger Palmal isn't a bad thing having a two small Palmal could get you disqualified
What’s the location of the tests?
For everyone going for the keal test; these are older episodes, this one is from season 3, maybe they didn't have them in those seasons? I really don't know as I don't watch the episodes on tv
They've always had the kill test. They just removed it because they're being criticized by people (who don't even watch the show mind you) for being too brutal and unethical.
@@cloverking7879 WHO is criticizing them. Been seeing this comment a lot, but it sounds like conspiracy theory when no one mentions WHO
@@revelationreflection its not a specific group of people it's just random people saying that the keal test is to brutal or to grafic for some people to handle.
@@cloverking7879 Then those pansies shouldn't watch the show. Problem solved.

I knew Penn from Penn & Teller wasn't going to win when he couldn't get that blade in the quench.

Don’t forget Percy Jackson’s Anaklusmos (Riptide) is a Xiphos too!!
Xiphos!
wait, what happened to the KEAL test? Lmao
Sorry man but the guy that won also had best hair aha
Thats not keith thats Rayleigh right hand of the pirate king😂
Where is it will keeeel😐😐😐
Do like the history behind the blade part
Does History have a museum of all the F.I.F. builds?
Wasn't the xiphos cast out of bronze rather than smithed out of steel?
Yes. My thoughts exactly, but then it wouldn't be "forged" in fire.
is someone gonna tell him Keith also has much better hair?
why do they always ask them if they are ready lol
First time I haven't heard: It will KEEL! Not worth to watch!😂
It will Keith... I mean, Keal.
Xiphi-sternum …now i get it😶🌫️
Does anybody know what steel Keith used for his sword?
A good xiphos will go right through a giant truck tire with only the slightest push. I wish they'd try it.
excuse me for geekig out...but thats percy jakson's blade called Riptide
come on guys!! We all want to see the kill test.
0:23 what's the song?
I went to the comments first to see if they skipped the kill test again. They did. So I’m skipping the video.
You’re losing viewership.
U know that it also can be a problem with UA-cam right ?
@@shootingmangooo1664 UA-cam is evil sometimes

For all of the people complaining this is from season 3. I just watched the full episode, and there is no kill test in this one. They didn't get rid of it you dopes.

Only two tests??! Unacceptable.
Where is the episode they forged Thor's axe? Or hammer.
