This video was very helpful in fixing my cart. Same one and the line going into the crank case was full of goog that was blocking it from working right. Cleaned out line and it runs perfect. Thanks for the help.
We have a couple of Yamaha golf carts on the jobsite that I work. When the weather is cold at night and warm during the day we have had that vacuum line from the fuel pump to the crankcase to clog up with a milky substance (oil and water mix?) It acts just like it is running out of gas or is out of gas. Loosen the clap on both ends, one's in the lower half of the fuel pump the other end is on the crankcase right behind the oil fill cap. Take a air hose and blow it out until all the junk quits coming out. Reconnect the vacuum line and it should run.
I have a 1991 g16 yahama golf cart serial # 155 014667 MODEL G2A I WAS USING it and just stopped running I checked the usual things and finally pulled the valve cover a push rod was was off the rocker I checked and it was not bent I replaced it and adjusted it about a half a turn on adjusted but I noticed it was dry on the top end oil on the bottom of the push rot but not on top is this normal or is my oil pump going bad thanks for any help
I watch these videos to see what other people are doing I do lawn mower repair small engine repair.! Doesn't anybody start at the beginning like cleaning the dirt and dust and crap off. Clean the carburetor out with carburetor cleaner before even trying to start it. Most people started without even checking anything and suck stuff through the carburetor on top of sucking it into the intake.! You do more damage this way. Never tried to start anything to you check the gas for stale gas. Dirt or a dirty filter. And with all that dust it probably sucked a lot of dirt into the carburetor even with the old filter. That thing needs to be power washed and cleaned before even turning over
I like the way you think , its way better to have something reasonably clean before starting , I don't know why people don't take the pride to clean stuff up , if stuff is dirty then theres a good chance of getting dirt into the engine , and messing up other components .
Hi I have a g22 also and the engine runs but it will not drive the cart. When it stopped working it gave ZZZZ sound like the teeth were not meshing. Now it the engine runs but will not drive cart no other sound. Any suggestion?
Well my suggestion is if you're not mechanically inclined and you never worked on small engine repair. I would take it to a shop cuz you can do more damage than good. If it's making that sound when you're trying to start it the teeth on the starter or not making contact or they're worn off.! We're not engaging all the way. Try taking the golf cart carburetor off the engine and get carburetor cleaner and spray it down if you don't know what you're doing don't take it apart. And if you do take a picture of the way it's put together piece-by-piece. And be careful of your gaskets and your floats or your pins needle valves. There's a lot to it each engines different like I said I advise you just take it to a shop. Be safe and good luck
We have a 1997 gas Yamaha golf cart the will run for a minute or two then stalls backfires.it has all new parts in it now and it still wont run.Does anyone have any idea what the problem is please help. Thank you
Never check for spark like that especially if your plug was wet when it came out. Well unless you want to die in a ball of fire when the cylinder is emptied out right across a spark and ignited sending the whole machine up in flames taking you with it also it does not accurately display if you have spark
this helped me so much. mine is turning over but not starting also. I never checked the fuel pump
Helpful, to the point without over explaining stuff or talking about the weather in whatever bf town he's from. Good video dude.

When you put float on how did you put the pin in the float

But what if there was a break in the line leading from the tank to the pump so it would only be pulling air
What would happen if there was no spark?

i am having the same issue, did you ever get a diagnosis of your problem?
After it backfires and stalls will it restart? If it doesn't restart immediately try and see if you lost fuel or ignition.
Try carb kit
Ever try adjusting the carb because it could backfire if it is running to rich
Wronge fuel pump aftermarket

My gas golf cart cranks; but will not accelerate? What can be wrong with it. Their is no fuel in the line or carburator at all.

JB B what are you talking about? That has nothing to do with his comment
Fuel pump diaphragm might have a pin hole.
