This is BAND-MAID’s first MV, which saved the band from getting disbanded by the management.
This song was actually a B-side to their first single “Love Passion Matador”, where they dressed in red maid costumes that homages Spanish Flamenco style dress. So this MV uses their first black maid costume along with red maid costume.
very cool. it wasnt just a edit for the color. they did literally change to another, and its from the other single. Spanish flamenco i know is pretty hard dance, always with ornate dresses. idk how they do it
If it wasn't for Thrill they wouldn't be around today, but I legitimately love the hell out of LPM. I'm not into Spanish-rock fusion, but hot damn that song is an earworm. I genuinely never listen to it just one time; I always hit repeat at least once.
Saiki is so freaking pretty. Hopelessly love that girl and her voice. And these girls shred. Incredible. Japanese metal is special.

I’m GenX, so the visuals of this video brought me right back to the eighties. MTV had just been invented and many of the early videos were all white backgrounds. Band Maid playing classic rock riffage with this production choice cannot be a coincidence.
you mean when MTV played MV? XD haha Im just old enough to remember those days, but the talk show had already begun by my time
The stark white background may have been an artistic choice; however, their small production company couldn't afford to shoot more than one video at the time so it may have come down to simply having limited funds for a bigger production.

At first I thought that the red/black thing was just filter work, but they actually changed outfits and cut the two colours together.

TGR, I have a recommendation for you to listen to a Band-Maid song. The song is "About Us", the official live video. It's a ballad and is a lament and tribute to their fans. The band was not allowed to perform before a live audience because of Covid shutdowns, so the wrote and performed the song as an on-line okyu-ji. The tone and heartfelt lyrics really conveys how much the band missed their fans and the ability to perform before them. This song just may bring a tear to your eye, so get some Kleenex. If you really analyze all of the elements of the song, you will see how well the song was composed, crafted, and performed. This song is brilliant!!!!!

Seeing the Maids live and up close in a small, intimate club is a "Thrill" of a lifetime. One should consider themselves lucky to experience them like this because it's becoming rare. And as for sound... it'll be the best hard rockin' sound you can imagine -- clear, discreet, powerful and full of energy and joyful vibes! (And no compression!! ;-) Just ask anyone who's experienced them live. In fact, we've been getting an earful of "wow's" and "that was incredible" from all the reactors and commenters from their successful 2022 & 2023 Band-Maid USA Tours. Rock on, Guy!

"Thrill" as well as a number of Band-Maid's early songs were written in collaboration with songwriter Kentaro Akutsu. The members say that they are indebted to his great work in giving them exactly the break they needed at the time with his catchy rock-based song. 2016's "Alone" was the first song and MV that the band wrote, arranged and directed without outside assistance. Since then, they have had full artistic control and most of their songs have been written by a collaboration of all the band members with Miku Kobato as the principal lyrist and Kanami Tono as the primary composer. Tracing "Thrill" to their latest works like "Hate?" shows how far Band-Maid has journeyed and yet remained true to their original concept, or as Miku would say, of making "cool music."

You'll never be the same after you experience this awesome band..try "AUTOMATIC SUN" live at Tecate Pa'l Norte festival (studio version) or DUST TO DUST live at Teatro Metropolitan cdmx 2022.. you'll love these sister's 🤯💥🤘
interesting how they have a song called Warning and then i recently hear they are doing a tour with THE Warning. Im sure they had a good laugh about all that XD

Band Maid on June 12th in Japan they will be playing with "THE WARNING" 3 sisters from Mexico. They are the future in my opinion.. You're really missing out if you've never experienced The Warning. They sing in English mostly..try The Warning EVOLVE live at 2023 MTV VMA's or "HELL YOU CALL A DREAM" Live at the Pepsi center cdmx..🤯💥🤘🎶✌️
