- Bullet Journaling was love at first sight for me. I've used inspiration from the great planner community to set up my BuJo. My favorite pages are the future log, daily set-up, gratitude log, and victory log. I've chosen a lined moleskine journal to start.

Love the simplicity of your bullet journal. Showing that it can be simple yet affective. Which is the most important thing.
Love the victory log idea. My sister has anxiety and I think this might help her a lot. :)

Add Sherlock to your Netflix list! I love your idea of the Victory Log. I'm definitely going to borrow it!
Finally a bullet journal that doesn't go crazy with drawing monthly calendars on virtually every page.
If you don't like ripping it out you could also glue the pages together
you prolly dont care but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my brother for the last few months =)

Just stumbled across bullet journaling - love your video, thanks for the clear instructions and ideas! BTW - I started keeping a Gratitude Journal years ago and it CHANGED MY LIFE! Seriously! A great side benefit of the GJ is when I was having a rough spell I could look through past logs and see all the many, many blessings I truly have in my life. Thanks again for a great video.

I'm so happy I found your video! You're the first one that I've seen that is using a lined notebook and not graph for bullet journaling. I've been looking everywhere for graph journals and can't find one. Now I see I can do it on lined paper! Thank you 😃 love this!
+Amanda A Haha it's funny you say that. A little bit after I made this video I ended up switching to a moleskin dotted notebook. I was having a hard time with the lined paper because I couldn't draw vertical lines well. My spacing of letters was all off too. But it's definitely possible to used a lined journal and probably a loooot cheaper lol.

I think this is the most fun bullet journal I've seen so far. Thank you for the video! I've become so overwhelmed with planner stuff that I don't know what to be using. I've gone from Filofax to EC, back to Filofax, on to Kikki-K, moved to PPP, then to Travelers notebooks, back to Filofax... My head is melted. I think I might try bullet journalling in my Midori. I feel like I need to completely start over and get back to basics!

this is awesome, you have really inspired me to start journaling. Throne of Glass is really good. You should try The Mortal Instruments.It's actually started as a TV show, good too even though it doesn't exactly follow the books.

Love your bullet journal. It gives me a lot of ideas as I'm starting my first bullet journal.
Just put a ruler across the fold along the fold and gently pull the page against the ruler. You rip the page along the ruler in a nice straight fashion if you don't have a perforation.

Netflix suggestions: Derek and An Idiot Abroad. If you don't like Ricky Gervais (The Office)...then you probably won't like them because he's behind them both, but I find them hilarious! They're not kid friendly..but amazing. Derek is funny, a bit crude, but also sweet and moving. An Idiot Abroad is like...the most elaborate prank a person has ever played on a friend. They send Karl across the world to "report" on the 7 wonders..but they purposely put him in the worst situations possible just so they can sit back and laugh at him. The 2nd season was a bucket list journey and the 3rd season was Karl and Warwick Davis traveling to different places. I was in tears at least once a season.

they have blank page moleskinses! i'm super ocd too so i refused to get one till i found the perfect one. (mine is black, plane, and flimsy!!!) for some reason i like the flimsy soft cover even though i find that most people prefer hard cover. i checked stores pretty much biweekly for it until i found it haha. this is awesome though i know this video isn't recent but thank you i love watching this kind of stuff

+Melissa & Lindsay I haven't tried the fine tip ones, but the I have used the gel ones in the past & I love them. Didn't try them in the planner yet, so I don't remember if they bleed. I'm getting them again actually and started a series on my blog revolved around planning, accessories, etc. Debating on whether I wanna so Plan With Me vids & such, too. Lol.

Pretty Little Liars is hard to get into but is fun once it gets started.

But FIREFLY IS SO FREAKING GOOD.... Please watch this :)

Hey Melissa!! OMG I love your Bullet Journal! I'm headed out to buy a Moleskine now thanks to this. I do have a question and you may have answered it in your video and I didn't see it but is this for one month and then the next month you'll start a new one? I saw a lot of January and then lists and logs so I was just wondering. Thank you for sharing this as it has helped me without being overwhelmed!!
Krystal Littrell sorry I'm just seeing this now. I use the bullet journal for a few months or until I run out of pages. Since this video I've upgraded to a bigger moleskin that has more pages haha. Hope you found a system that works for you! -Mel

As much as cool this Bullet Journal activity looks, it seems to require a lot of time and creativity. I definitely want to try it tho. Thanks for the explanation.
I thought the same but it didn't I figured out everything I wanted included on plain paper and how I wanted to write it and once I was set on what I wanted I then put them into the journal and as days go on I add designs to it so it doesn't have to be "pretty" day one just get the writing stuff down like the titles and if needed page numbers and go on from there daily, weekly or monthly lol when ever you feel and you won't get mad if you miss a month because it's not in stone thank god lol good luck
Journey With LuvHurts Thanks for your response. I'm currently listing all the things that I want to include and how I want it to look like. I'm a guy so I don't really want it "pretty" LOL. I just want it organized and easy to keep up with it. The whole concept of "personal customization" is what prompted me to try it out.
+The Powerful One and if you the titles legible you can print them out and as long as you can read your handwriting it doesn't matter how it looks so your good good luck it took me almost 7 months to put my collections in a book

I love the idea of a bullet journal, I've seen some awesome spreads (like yours) but it seems to be really time consuming since you're creating logs, boxes, sections, etc. I love that you're able to really make it unique but how long does it take to set-up each month?
+Crafty “CLR” Accountant It's really only as time consuming as you want it to be. There's some people that have very plain/basic bujos and it takes them five minutes to set up each month. For me, I work on it gradually so I'd say it takes me a few days each month. I like to come home from work some days, put on netflix, and create a page or two. It's therapeutic for me. But if you don't have that free time then definitely don't worry about it being pretty. You can always search for printable habit trackers and tape them in if you want to save time on drawing boxes. There's some good shortcuts out there. And washi tape always makes it look pretty and that only takes a few seconds to do! Lately I've been doing weekly layouts and it's easy to just skip a few pages and create the next month. And then I'm not rushing to get it done. Hope that helps and good luck!

I'm thinking of starting a bullet journal too and I was wondering about the time as well. What I'm thinking of doing is creating templates and printing them out. I like the idea of using a binder (maybe one of those small ones I see at Staples) that way I can move all the habit trackers and whatnot along as the year goes on. So you can always print some templates out and when you have time, I imagine it would only take a few moments to update them according to your taste, schedule and needs . hope this helps (:

Yes - unfortunately the bullet journal world has become high jacked with people who love pretty.
It's a NOTEBOOK first. It does NOT have to look pretty and if you start printing things out because you feel it SHOULD be pretty, you're missing the entire point.
The point of bullet journal is simply that it's an efficient way to organise your thoughts and to do lists and perhaps your calendar.
So please, just start with the original Bullet Journal website and try and apply it and then DO WHAT WORKS!

+Krystin Joyce You should! I'd say use a notebook you already have to start. Just keep it simple and mostly for functionality. And then if you stick with it add some stickers or fun fonts. But definitely keep it simple so it's not so intimidating. You can definitely do it! :)

+Estelle Krol It's been working pretty well so far. If there's something I know I have to do that's making me anxious then I'm extra proud when I can log it on my chart that I did it haha. Sounds so silly, but if it works I'm not going to question it! And then later I can look back and be like wow I'm a lot stronger than I think I am...look at all I've done! Maybe I can do some kind of reward system. Like for every 5 victories I can get a treat of some sort!

Love the ideas and your talent but the show The 100, is one of the worst ever made. It is all darkness, failure, defeat, hate, torture, deception, lying, murder etc. There is no light, hope, honesty, success, etc. There has to be some of each to be a good show. I got so sick of the dark, I just couldn't watch anymore. I think it is hell. Lol
