Wow Bird, I don't know how to thank you. I'm a student during final season, I spend 9 to 10 hours a day on my desk studying, add on to that all the stress. My back, neck and shoulders were hurting so much it was making me miserable, I've tried so many medications that barely helped and only for a couple of hours. The relief I've felt from these stretches had me almost crying at the end, specially the stretch with the block. Thank you so so so much.
I did this last night after a long day of being sleep deprived and having massive tension in my neck and shoulders from working out the day prior and not getting enough sleep. it was the first time i could feel my internal body energy loosening up, by the end of the practice i could breathe more clearly and i actually felt flow in my body. especially with that pose with the block. then i was able to restfully fall asleep. thank you so much, truly an amazing experience🙏❤️

Very nice! The only thing that would’ve helped me is a few more reminders to breath and check in with breath / breathe deep, i noticed myself holding my breat.

This was amazing. I have been doing your morning and evening routines, it has helped my sleep and rising patterns so I tried your more target ones. I am feeling a bit stiff from my right back down to my arms and wrists probably from week long desk works, after doing this, I felt better. The gentle twists and stretches gave the much needed pull in my nerves and muscles, I think 💕

The spine stretch over the block has helped immensely since I started doing it a month ago however I still can't get my head to rest on the mat without some support underneath, could that be due to tension higher up(maybe in the neck)? Love your videos!
Every body is different and increases flexibility at a different speed. Using the block under your back can be pretty intense especially if poor posture is present or rather “hunch” or “forward head posture” these will surely keep the crown of the head from resting on the mat. But can also be due to a tight front body. It could also be wrong positioning of the block. I can’t see how you use it so I can’t tell you exactly why this may be but if you have a proper positioning of the block just take time, it will happen. The body will adapt, it’s such a intense chest opener and something the body is unfamiliar with. Enjoy the process ❤️❤️❤️
@@YogaWithBird Bird, I really appreciate your comment!! You are totally on point about the hunch/forward head posture, I accidentally developed this habitual bad posture/technique by leaning over my musical instrument for hours and hours a day without thinking about it. Unfortunately this caused repetitive strain injury and I have dealt with chronic pain in both arms for 4 years now. Finally starting yoga and following your videos for the last 1.5 - 2 months has been HUGE and already getting better results than some very expensive forms of physical therapy that I did for years. It was extremely intense when I first started with the block(even after using an arched back stretcher for many months beforehand!) couldn't even manage the first few times, but slowly started opening up, I think you are right it will just take some more time. Apologies about this block of text but there's my story, your channel is helping immensely, thank you again!
