Excellent work!! Thank you so much for a video with not too many overwhelming details, just enough for a beginner to understand and follow. I have got a couple of queries if you don't mind helping with please. I am planning to fit a wardrobe in a similar space but on either sides of a chimney breast. The biggest problem is that I'm unable find a readymade wardrobe that fits the space. So a better option would be to go for a built in. One side of the wardrobe would need to project out a little bit and I'm not sure how to get that to look good. Also I'm planning for a folding door rather than sliding. would that be too different in terms of the frame you have shown here? Ta

Hi mate love the video, where did you buy the sliding door kit from, does this include the mirrored doors etc, also could i make the same kind of sliding wardrobes but with shaker style doors instead of mirrors. Cheers keep the vids coming, im learning a lot from you, top man.
Thanks for that comment mate ! I really appreciated that ! I will indeed keep them coming ! They are from b and q mate and yes you get every thing in the pack that you need, they are called bliss sliding wardrobe doors, I’m not sure but they might do a shaker door as they do other types, alternatively the sell the running gear on its own and you can make your own doors but I have never tried this but would be more then happy to give advise if you did go down this route mate.
Hi, were you screwing into a dry wall or masonary?
Hi, I was actually screwing into both, one wall was drywall and the other two was masonary
@@LTWCarpentry I see you used blues for the masonry wall, what did you use for the drywall?
@@Phunkmasterd I actually used reds for the masonry walls, then I used dry wall toggles for the plasterboard wall, I find these give them best fixings with stuff that could potentially have a load on it
@@LTWCarpentry ah I thought you said blues in the video... I have never built anything before but I'm feeling inspired to build this in my new home... If my gap is an awkward 1310mm.. would you get the 1500mm doors and have them overlap or get the 1200mm and pack either side? I'm going to have to pack a little because of the skirting board anyway
@@Phunkmasterd I would go with the 1200mm and pack them out buddy, the over hand in the 1500 would be very noticeable, also like you said you have to pack anyway 👍🏻 if you need any help please feel free to get in touch buddy
Where did you get the wood from
I got it from my local timber yard but any diy shop or big box store will do it.
Thanks for this. Great video. Will be following your lead :)
Your welcome 👍🏻 thank you for your comment
Great job this mate, looking at doing something similar myself, roughly what height did you do the cross rails and what screws did you use for the mdf?
Cheers mate, I put the clothes rails in at 1800mm off the floor, I normally do this then I can have a second at 900mm of the floor if I do double hanging. And I used 4x50mm screws on the mdf buddy, hope that helps, if you need anything else give mate shout mate
@@LTWCarpentry perfect cheers! Appreciate the help
Forgot to ask, is the 2260 the full height of the door? so if you was building a frame would you have to take into account depth of the runners that the doors sit in?
@@Jack-zr4lm yes mate that’s correct ! 👍🏻
Plasterboard screws???
top work nice
Thank you very much !
What wood do you use for the wardrobes?
I used mdf
@@LTWCarpentry thank you. Very inspired by your video!!
How do I adjust the bottom parts
Love your style, mate! I'm going on my own soon after 34 years of site work - house bashing, shuttering, you name it but time I fokkd all the asshole formen/managers off. Where do you get your doors/cabinets etc please???
Hi Kevin, thanks for you comment buddy, and congrats on going it alone mate ! I normally get my bits from Howdens unless it’s bespoke then I bully them myself mate
@@LTWCarpentry Howdens I know all about! And Benchmarx, Symphony etc etc. 👍👍
@@kevinchamberlain7928 you’ll be grand with all of them mate, just watch the prices as sometimes they sting you ! Shop around
You The best 😮😮😮
How much does it cost to do that
