The government is falling apart, the economy is in shambles, homelessness and poverty are on the rise, and despite having four Prime Ministers since the Brexit vote actually happened the general public haven't voted for any of them. As someone that works in the hospitality sector, this sure would make my job a lot more difficult...but oh so much more entertaining, might be worth it.
As a brit, I'm devastated with the results of Brexit. AND I VOTED FOR IT!! Regrettably. They promised more jobs for UK citizens, lower prices, the pound having more value, 55M pounds in savings from getting out of the EU that'd go to the NHS, nurses and such. (Or something along the lines of that, I could be very wrong I don't listen to politics much) YET! Prices have rocketed! for a WEEKs worth of shopping you're now looking around £80+ for like items that would have been around £30-50? Bills keep rising! NHS are critically underfunded, import prices are astronomical. I WISH I didn't stupidly fall for the lies.
Part of it was lies, true, but another part was the EU making things as difficult for us as possible. Gotta make an example out of the UK so that nobody else will want to leave, right?
Bad handling by the government and fear-mongering by the media also made things worse than they should have been; a lot of companies panicked and moved out of the UK, which led to decent bit of our issues.
That said, the biggest benefit of Brexit was never money saved or more jobs; it was independence from the increasingly tighter laws the EU was throwing around. If it stuck to being an economic union, it would have been a delight. Sadly, it became this huge ugly thing that levied laws via dictatorship of the majority.
It's not the EU's fault. Being free from EU regulations means that goods have to be checked for compliance when crossing the border. This slows down trade. And why would the EU want to prioritise a non-member nation anyway?

In the UK here. Brexit is just a bloody nightmare 🤦 we are 35 minute train from France and mainland Europe but now need to buy a travel visa to do so. Not to mention the many medications we can no longer get into the UK that are manufactured elsewhere

hi, british person here. i'm 22. the brexit vote happened when i was 14, i was old enough to vote by the time we actually left, and yes, IM STILL MAD ABOUT IT. also my orchestra went to germany via the channel/france and it took so long to actually get on the boat
well, now that germany's economy is collapsing, will be interesting to compare again in 3-5 years.
i got a question, do UK citizens have it easier getting into canada (travel, not moving to). i'm too poor to travel, but my brother regularily goes. and it takes forever to get through at the ariport. once almost got denied because of a speeding ticket he got in germany. meanwhile her ein germany. "oh you already got deported from our country for r..aping a minor? yeah come right in, we won't stop you"

British person here, brexit, so far has been totally sh*t, prices have nearly doubled since that went down and ppl can't afford heating bills so there were stories of ppl FREEZING TO DEATH IN THEIR OWN HOME. There was this one guy the bbc interviewed, and the guy was going about his house in full winter clothes to stay warm. Who could have thought deglobalisation was a bad idea and england mostly relies on imports. Plus, since most migrant workers left, most goods aren't being transported, so nationwide logistics has been hit (this has been reduced as of late) as well as lots of ppl in the healthcare sector have left since most of them were migrants who felt a bit unwelcome after brexit went through and bc of the war in Ukraine, the government is kinda scapegoating the entire economic situation on russia. Literally, when anyone asks me what I want to do when I get a job, i just say, "I'd like to leave this country"

If i couldn't lie, id ask myself questions about the secrets of the universe until i gained infinite knowledge and omnipotence.
Two most likely outcomes from this;
1) if not lying effects the entire fabric of reality then sure you would gain the answers but our puny brains would not be able to hold onto all that knowledge, so no omnipotence for us unless we use the knowledge we gain from the right questions to build ourselves a better brain to hold all the said information we would gain the answers too.
2) The not lying thing only effects us humans and not the whole of reality itself so we would get a whole lot of honest "I don't know." answers.
