Nate Marin Yeh haha, no I think hes cool. I mean I didnt really know who he was before the movie. But just seeing him in character, he seems like he really plays the part well.
That first teaser where hes walking through that snowy wood and the way he just walks like hes really ready to just ramp with someone, and how he just activates his lightsaber, made me feel the character was really going to be menacing, I think Adam has done a really good job in the role.
Most people probably only know of him and like him cause hes been in their favorite Tv show or movie or something. But I read up on wiki that one of his (Adam's) greatest inspirations was from a classic actor who starred in the original Dirty Dozen film, and that he actually tries to model his ethic on that person, so that to me gives me the feeling he is like a real "actor".

Went to high school with this guy (although he was a grade above me), seen him in all the school plays and around campus all the time. Blew my mind when I heard that he, of all people, was gonna be the new villain in Star Wars on a Facebook post by his cousin a few days before it was announced by Disney. I thought it was a joke at first, then I saw the first photo from the table read when Disney announced it officially.

Tim the Hutt was my favorite character from the movie. It was an incredible, moving performance, and he handled his drinking problem very well.

It was heartbreaking how it tore his family apart, but I was so inspired that he rose above it.
I'm calling it now: Adam's going to end up being the one out of all the young stars to have the most successful post-SW career, just like Harrison Ford and Natalie Portman were for their generations.

Sandro Achilleus it's not an injury. He was defeated by a girl with no knowledge of the use of a lightsaber at all.
In case you missed it, Ren took a direct hit from a bowcaster, which had previously taken out multiple stormtroopers and sent them flying. He was losing blood quickly because of this. He was also struggling with his inner demons, between the dark side and the light, after just killing his father. He was really in no state to put up a fight against another Force user.
He was frikkin perfect in the movie. His performance as Kylo, oh my god man. I need his action figure like right now.

I loved Kylo as a chatacter and i like how they take the human conflict approch rather than the emotionless approch. Cant wait to see where his character goes in the next movie.

every time he talks for even a little while he starts to trail off and finishes by looking nervous, he seems so very self concious but its strangely endearing to see a successful actor like him behave like that, brings a touch of humility to him.

Everyone's talking about how uncomfortable he seems, but to me it's pretty clear he has anxiety (from what I can tell) and is very overwhelmed with the amount of attention he's getting with his new roles. I mean, can you imagine living a relativity normal life, and then suddenly being unable to walk outside without a disguise to avoid being mobbed? Add anxiety to the mix, and you can tell why he's acting the way he is.

Well I'll tell you what I never knew of this guy before Starwars but I have to say from what Ive seen of him as Kylo Ren he seems like a really solid actor. I know Starwars is fantasy and doesnt take much acting in these type of movies, but I have to say Adam makes the character colossal he really makes him feel menacing.
Watching him in the trailer the way he moves, like in that teaser when hes just walking throught that snowy forest he moves like a frickin badass on the hunt! And that little snippet scene of him as he faces off against Finn, poor John Boyega cause Adam as Kylo he just looks like hes ready to go to town on Finn lol. The have really cast this movie well.

If you would have said action movies, yeah okay, but I personally think that fantasy and drama are the hardest action job. I mean you have to pretend you are a Guyi, living in a totally unrealistic situation in an completely made up world, wielding non existent weapons, and talking to alien lifeforms, and you need to sell this all in the most realistic way you can. Seriously? You really think that isn't hard?
Max Kehm Oh I agree, that does take a lot of talent getting inside a character, a "made up world", understanding one person's "vision" fantasy world and helping to bring that alive. Ofcourse that takes alot of talent.
I think it also takes much talent, hunger even of a particular individual to play out that particular part and "sell" it in a realistic way. The really big talent can come from a "thespian" or truly great "actor", to not only understand that visual and fantasy world, but to play out a mythological archetype in such a manner that, either captures people, their imagination, and/or influences them to believe in and take that character seriously in that world.
This is what the great theatre actors of the past decades did, Alec Guinness and Peter Cushing with their respected roles in Ep4, New Hope. And now hopefully Max Von Sydow (if hes got a real solid role) and ofcourse Adam Driver who has alot of potential as a actor.
Watch him in Hungry Hearts and Marriage Story. That man has such range and can play pretty much any role.

What an awkward interview. Driver's uncomfortableness stems from the interviewer, who clearly is in over her head, even for a fluff piece. "Have you met JJ Abrams?" Are you kidding me? No follow up questions, just weird exchanges between two people. C'mon VF. Step up your game.

And they'll ask what his biggest challenge in filming was or what his best day looked like or what his best Star Wars memory is. And he gives really good answers, This woman was like, "Oh, you can't talk about the movie? Now what?"

JJ Abrams made the right decision when casting Adam Driver in Star Wars. Wow, this is going to be so great! Driver is gonna dig deep inside a pull out an amazing performance.

Savvy Jones he's got range, and lots of it. he's also wildly eccentric in real life, or so what i hear. regardless, it's as though he understands every character he's ever played, thus allowing the nuance to shine just underneath the surface. hopefully this will be his big break out, and we'll continue watching him grow. love watching this guy, man.

Adam Driver is an oscar nominee and is on another impressive bid for an academy for best actor.
I wonder why I always think his character is a villain which turns out to be a hero in the next film. And that we find out he's Solo's son.
I love his answer to being a toy or not. He doesn't give away that he is a main character by avoiding to definitely say yes or no.

I had hardly seen any work of this actor. After watching some of his interviews I like him very much. Great as Kylo Ren, indeed. I really felt the emotion of the character.
And one year later and one day into release he's all you see when you walk into literally any store.
