I see guys in the Facebook groups for those engines. A bunch of them had over 200k. One guy put 215k on a 2019, traded it in for a new one and had nearly 100k on the new one. The only issue I recall him mentioning was the coolant valve needing replacement at some point. From what I have seen, the biggest complaints with the LM2 were all due to the valve cover having a bad internal weld, letting engine oil get pulled into the PCV return. That caused the oil consumption, the glow plugs would foul up, and the SCR would start to have problems from burning engine oil. I think some guys cause their own problems with that engine because they don't understand anything about diesel engines. Some were hardheaded and refused to buy diesel-specific oil and ran the regular oil for a gas engine, which has a lot more ash content that will cause emissions issues. Others don't seem to understand that you really shouldn't short trip diesel engines or let them idle like crazy.

serious question here. how many think that the owners of these vehicles are pushing them more than they were made to? for example, towing. another theory I have, which i know this video has nothing to do with, is oil changes. how many actually do oil changes on time? also, what if automakers saying to change your oil at 7,500 miles for example is a lie? i guess what im trying to say here is, there is a crapload of idiot owners that dont either do maintenance on time of follow the specs. lmk, im interested in peoples responses. btw. put a 4 cyljnder in a truck like this, what do u think is going to happen? also, the 3.0 diesels architecture is horrible. i saw a video of a tear down of that same engine. they say its hard to get to some parts because they’re all the way to the back of the engine. not sure if anyone can elaborate on that.

I wonder if it has the start stop feature and has 2 batteries. Maybe one battery is too low. I’ve seen that with the Jeep Cherokees
If you disconnect the negative terminal for like 30 sec and hook it back up and it should reset and start right up.
I guarantee you I won't be buying a brand new truck. Almost 50% of the videos on this channel feature brand new vehicles that are dead on the road. As the old saying goes: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. They should go back to the 60s and make cars and trucks like they used to.
It's probably the computer
What a pile of trash GMC's are these days 😂
My neighbor has a new 2500hd with a 6.6 gas, he claims its a oil burning POS.
That’s crazy!
Every truck having trouble these days
I’m glad GMC priced their vehicles so high outa my pay grade.
Watching your videos has shown me that GMC has fuel pump module & battery drain issues … at least.
Your not the Lone Ranger; GM like the government have no concept of reality,@ this insane price & no reliability.
which company isn't overpriced? ....15-20 year old southern cars is the way to go. all the big companies will die off at this rate by 2030s. We will become like Cuba, rebuilding old cars.
Well, you might even say they're "Professional Grade.."
GMC's are the biggest piles of garbage, We bought a GMC Terrain a few yrs ago and I've never experienced a more unreliable vehicle in my life. Ridiculous.
Buy a GMC Toyota Ram Or Chevy
I work nights I can sleep through anything once I'm asleep lol .. good job brother 😁
These trucks appear to be total piles of crap
Good job Dustin if i need a toe i would call you
After seeing so many of these new GM vehicles with so many issues, l’ll stick with my 93 s10 Blazer. It broke down last week but a $50 fuel pressure regulator was the fix. Only an hour out of my day for the fix and no fancy diagnostic tools needed.
Junk gm my 2014 2500 last gm loved my 98 square body shouldn't of sold
The amount of new GM vehicles this guy tows is incredible. What garbage they are selling
4 cyl turbo gas engine.
planned to become obsolete after warranty
@@LamelKendrick Or sometimes before.
serious question here. how many think that the owners of these vehicles are pushing them more than they were made to? for example, towing. another theory I have, which i know this video has nothing to do with, is oil changes. how many actually do oil changes on time? also, what if automakers saying to change your oil at 7,500 miles for example is a lie? i guess what im trying to say here is, there is a crapload of idiot owners that dont either do maintenance on time of follow the specs. lmk, im interested in peoples responses.
btw. put a 4 cyljnder in a truck like this, what do u think is going to happen?
also, the 3.0 diesels architecture is horrible. i saw a video of a tear down of that same engine. they say its hard to get to some parts because they’re all the way to the back of the engine. not sure if anyone can elaborate on that.
Dustin, I think GM might be testing you! Lol.
