    All you naysayers. I love VH! I don't care what you say. I have loved them for 25 years and will never quit! No accounting for peoples tastes!

    I like both Sammy and Dave with Van Halen.... but I can really appreciate Dave pouring his guts out on this performance. It was awesome to see him perform these songs. I could really feel him on these tunes. Fuck. what he's 56. Kick ass Diamond Dave. I'm not a huge Van Halen fan. I think is sucks that Michael Anthony is missing, but I truly enjoyed this performance. Thanks for the post.

    I saw them in Toronto Mar 18! Had excellent seats! When he played Eruption he brought the house down! I have always been a VH lover and especially Eddie. You can diss him all you like. He's the best guitarist in the WORLD! I love him! He inspired me to pick up my guiitar in the first place!

    What they did in the past was a great thing musically, and reliving a great thing is all they are doing. They aren't hurting anybody. And Eddy is an amazing talent. Period. (Bet you couldn't do all that on guitar, ever! and make it sound like he did back then! And you're gripin' because he can't sound like he did then now. How silly! Chill, chill.

    Nick, thanks for writing back. I bet you did have a blast, would liked to have seen it just for the nostalgic ride if anything. But all I have really is this video post to go by. VanHalen is a legendary band and I love the music. It just didnt seem very close to their usual musical standards which were always in the past quite mind blowing. They at least could have used an Autotune program. If it could actually even line up the vocals due to thier being so "off" Glad you have fun Nick...Rich.

    To all you VH haters:
    News Flash-> You gonna grow old too. And it will most likely never matter....
    These guys are more than rock - they are living legends. Count you lucky stars you were able to witness a live VH concert. I appreciate the fact they are still willing to work their butts off for their die hard fans...

    Got back @3 a.m. this morning from my favorite band of all time, Van Halen, live in Dallas.They were great, and it was well worth the money, just wished my el cheapo video camara wouldn't have petered out. There set list was a little different from the Boston show, where as we didn't get "Hear about it later", we got to hear one of my favorites, "Women in Love"! Yeah Dave can't sing as good as he used to, BUT,SO WHAT! VH STILL ROCKS!!

    Let's not forget that there is a slight delay in the sound and that is probably due to the sound being recorded separately, which was a somewhat marginal quality. In regards to the quality of performance, these guys are getting older and are pedaling as fast as they can...lol!

  • @PatVanHalen5150
    @PatVanHalen5150 12 років тому

    It's not the entire show. They've played 24 songs every night of the tour. Boston was espeically awesome because Hang Em High was played for the first time in 29 years.

  • @longsmedia
    @longsmedia 11 років тому

    Fan since the 70's. the band is no doubt getting older. But for their age and all the drugs and drinking they did... It's good to see them in stage and able to entertain. It is different with out Michael and you can clearly see the chemistry between Eddie and Dave is purely business and that's sad, but they still bring a crowd to standing ovation. And that says something.

    I came to say some things. I like Van Halen with David Lee Roth. I like Van Halen with Sammy Hager. Hell, I like Van Halen with Gary Cherone. They're all awesome in their own ways. David is, and was one of the best showmen in the world. And, before 1991, he could actually sing well. Sammy Hager could actually sing really well, and could play guitar pretty well. Fuck this "war", because they're all good. And, I was at that concert. I laughed my ass off at Dave's story at "you really got me."

  • @66LifesMistress77
    @66LifesMistress77 12 років тому

    Why were these the top comments??? The sound sux, but that's just the case sometimes with these concert vids. Don't be so hard on them! They have done so many drugs in their collective past I'm surprised they can even stand up, let alone perform! This is something they did and they have the right to make some money off this. THey are reliving their moments and if it inspires them to write more, they will, just chill!

    You are so right and it makes my heart bleed as well , I have given the new album plenty of time but i gotta bin it now, I dont want to get into the Dave or Sammy debate all i can say is when i saw them years ago Hagar was OUTSTANDING , I actually think there is no way back now for them , having cancelled dates in the US and no Euro tour ....Last one out turn off the lights....

    Give the Roth slamming a rest. His vocals are as good as ever (he was never known for his vocals, anyway); his stage moves aren't as acrobatic as they once were, but, come on, the man is almost 60. As far as I'm concerned, he's still got the glow of the world's best rock front man, and there's nothing more vaudeville than 80's glam rock to begin with.

    NEXT LIVE VIDEO: LIVE WITHOUT DEPENDS! Filmed at New Yorks premier nursing home, Pleasant Valley Seniors Home. David hasen't missed a step in his wheelchair and Eddie is still a great needle point artist. We have grounded his guitar so he won't be shocked while he drools uncontrolably. We are sorry Alex could no longer contribute due to his colostomy bag interfering with his range of motion. Catch them live on the HISTORY CHANNEL!!

    D.L. Roth is the same in 2015 as he was in here in 2012! some tracks he does well on and some not so well! Dance The Night Away seems to be a struggle or just being sung in higher notes not really needed during the 1st 2 verses! Song overall passes because of the band itself!

    I honestly can't believe that people are calling this awful. The ONLY negative is that Dave is sounding rough. I could give a fuck less. I don't go to VH concerts to listen to vocals. VH could have a chimpanzee on a stool as their frontman & I'd still go see them. Why? Because the Ed-Al-Wolf combination is untouchable.
    I was at this show & it was fucking stellar. And what you don't see on this video is the fact that at this show they played Hang Em High for the first time in TWENTY NINE YEARS.

    Many out there can play what he plays. Like him if you want. I will listen to quality guitarists. May I ask what you mean by his tone changing? The true meaning of the word awesome is great fear. I do not fear nor like him. He came out with a so so guitar solo on the first lp. (Eruption) But any quality guitarist can play it with ease. You want a great guitarist that can play circles around Eddie? Try the guitar teacher of the greats. Joe Satrianni for just one of numerous examples.
