Adding these to my Christmas Cookie list for my nephew who prefers to eat gluten-free. Also, I love coconut macaroons, and have been looking for a simple delicious recipe. So excited to try these!
I tried your recipe and they came out great. I didn't chop up the coconut, but they were still really good. My family was snitching them off the tray before I could get them in the chocolate. I dipped the bottoms in chocolate and then put them in the fridge for a few minutes to solidify. I really appreciate such a simple recipe. My mom even asked me if I would make some for her to take to her bowling league Christmas potluck! :)
❤❤❤Excellent Presentation...thaNKz deeplY foR sharinG your TummiliCiouS fun recipe with me as I just ordered some coconut online from WalmaRt tonight and I am so lookinG forward to makinG these into the future on a very cold daY🥶so that I will haVe a great reason to turn my oVen on!👍ShinE on Beatiful DiVa and haVe a BleSSed LiFe!✌🤓🙏😇☕🍵☕

@@SugarSpunRun I’m going make these for my wife to take to work Christmas Eve and Christmas night! Her and her nurse friends will love them! Thank you for replying back to me!
Made these last night, did not have exactly 3/4 cup of condensed milk so I added a little less of the coconut. But I wrapped/rolled them like meatballs so they were a little bit not dense necessarily but they still taste really good and I will be drizzling chocolate over it later today. I don’t have a scoop but I measured out one and a half tablespoons on my digital scale and I made all of them exactly the same weight. Time consuming but it looks really nice when they are uniformed
Just made macaroons yesterday with a “famous chef”recipe and they use a full can of condensed milk. Had puddles around my macaroons of milk that leaked out while they were baking. I’ll definitely try your recipe, was wondering what I did wrong. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Sam, how would Almond extract taste in these? Or maybe half tsp of each? I just love that Almond flavor!! Thanks and Merry Christmas from Texas!!🎅🎄
Almond extract will work fine here, but I'm not sure I would do a straight substitution as it's much more potent, maybe only use half the amount. Good luck! :)
I have never baked with coconut, I am allergic to it, But... this year I am going to jump off the deep end and make MACAROONS!! definitely nervous about making something I can't taste before someone else does. With the cookie scoop you use do you know the diameter of the cookie? I want to get them about the size of an Oreo = )
I did everything exactly like the recipe but mine were super runny😢. Whipped egg whites exactly like in the video, measured correctly 🤷♀️. Searched online how to salvage and a site recommended tbsp almond flour til stiffer consistency. So trying it now and batter is stiffer. Crossing my fingers
Oh no! Not properly whipping egg whites to stiff peaks, using the entire can of condensed milk, accidentally using evaporated milk, mis-measuring an ingredient, or over-mixing once you add the egg whites…any of these can lead to runny macaroons 🙁
Finally someone who explains and demonstrates!

These look delicious! I wish the rest of my family liked coconut. If I made these, I’d have to eat them all myself lol
Me too. 🥲
My husband won’t touch coconut so I take it upon myself to eat them all. It’s a tough job but someone’s gotta do it. 🤷♀️🤣🤣
Same here!

I haven't tried it, but I think that could work. :)
Another great recipe. 😎

Another great recipe! Thank you for sharing. I was wondering have you tried baking an olive oil cake?
I have not tried an olive oil cake but I’ll add it to my list. 😊😊
Delish!!!
Thank you! 😊😊
Aww man :( I made macaroons the DAY before this recipe came out. Guess I’ll have to make them again! 🤷♂️
Nothing wrong with more macaroons. ;)

I cannot get them off the parchment paper! What did I do?

Good luck! These are probably slightly smaller than an Oreo but pretty close. 😊
@@SugarSpunRun😁
What kind of chocolate do you use? thanks
Semisweet or dark baking bar (chopped), melting wafers, or chocolate chips will work here. :)
@@SugarSpunRun I live in France can I use Valhrona?
Could I use a blender for the coconut if I don’t have a food processor?
I'm not sure how the blender would work here.
I have a vegan friend and I'm wondering if I can make these with sweetened condensed oat milk. ??
Can desiccated coconut be used?
That should work just fine. :)
mine were running so i added some flour and more coconut 😢

“Nicely”? “Liquidy “ what language is this? Lol 😝
I believe it's commonly referred to as English.
