This is my fourth attempt making macarons. I followed each and every step. I downloaded your recipe instructions and followed notes. Word by word and guess what!!! It’s a success. I am happy. I have a plan on starting my own baking business one day and today is the start for it. I am going to follow all your recipes blindly from here.
This gives me hope. I want to add sugar cookies and Macarons to my market. Right now I do clay figurines and art but wanted to add a food item..... sugar cookies in the shapes of the figurines I make.... and I want something else cool... so why not do one of the hardest ever things...🤣 go big or don't try....that my motto......

I have watched sooooo many UA-cam videos about making macarons. Many of them are very good. This, however, is by far the best! By far! Where I've always stumbled in the past is the macaronnage stage. You explained that perfectly. It seems counter-intuitive at first because we're always trying to maintain all the air we've gone to all the trouble of incorporating. But no! You have to deliberately deflate it. Thank you. The perfect macaron tutorial!
I started using your recipe last Christmas and made at least 15 batches and every batch was perfect! I paired it with your vanilla buttercream frosting recipe. I also improvised the recipe with almond extract in place of vanilla. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes and tips! ❤

Sam, I can’t thank you enough. Next week I’m celebrating my daughter’s birthday and she really loves macarons but they are so expensive! I was able to make this recipe yesterday and I was crying over them because I was able to make them. I even made mini size macarons and they are freaking adorable!!! I can’t wait to make more again. I read in the cool book how finicky these can be and it was quite intimidating so I searched up a how to and found this video. This is SO thorough and exactly what I needed! I've been eyeing a white chocolate cranberry maacron recipe for a while, but I've never made macarons. Now I feel informed! Also, I love your little white plates... they make me think of paper plates, but they look so cute!

First attempt at macarons this evening. We used your recipe and they worked! I cannot express how happy we are. Thanks for a brilliant video. We made a few tweaks to the recipe. Added lemon juice instead of vanilla and threw in some lemon zest as well. They have a gentle zing flavour to go with a lemon filling. Also made sure we used an oven thermometer so we knew what the actual temperature was rather than relying on the built in thermostat.
I really don't know how to thank you! Being the obsessive person I am, I've been trying to master over macarons for months. I've watched every video possible, still I either had cracked shells (which was the case most of the time) or flat macarons. The ones I made today, following your recipe and all the tips turned out just PERFECT! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

i loveeee the way you explain everything !!! its so straightforward and easy ❤❤ Oh my goodness i was just about to list all ingredients into my notes app but thought to check your description for hopefully the ingredients at least and there they were BUT i also noticed you converted the grams into cups which you are so amazing for !!! you saved me some extra work ❤
@ ahh i made these last night everything went awesome but! when i baked them most of them cracked :( im not sure why, the only differences i had to make was the parchment paper i had none so i had to use tin foil but i made sure the tin foil was smooth and i also had to use pure cane sugar instead of granulated sugar, i did my research and checked if they were good substitutes and it was recommended, would you say thats maybe why they cracked? i also didnt age my eggs only because i made these for today and new years but the taste is AMAZINGGG!!
I know this video is a year old but I need to tell you that this video just saved my butt. I’m a pastry chef and was asked to make 60 macarons for an event at work. I have made macarons 3 times in my life. Once 15 years ago, they didn’t turn out great. Second time this morning- complete fail. The deadline is tomorrow and I just made them for the third time in my life this evening after watching and studying your video and they were a success!! I cannot thank you enough. And just a tip for anyone who finds that some of their macarons come out of the oven lopsided... Turn your baking sheet over and pipe on the bottom of the sheet tray (of course still using silicone/teflon or parchment) but not having the lip on the side helps air flow and even macarons. I found that to be a game changer for me in my home oven. Now I make macrons ALL the time!!

Ok I did your recipe and technique. This is what happened. My Gen Z son not only told me my macrons were ridiculous (that’s gen z for great) he ate most of them and took some to his friend. My siblings ate the rest. Then when my husband went to get some there was one more left. He was so mad! They ate them all up like pigs! I’m so happy I found this. Now I have a new holiday tradition. I used the egg yolks to make French buttercream which worked well with jam for the filling. Thank you so much for this video!
I made some today but the feet spread. They didn't stand tall with the feet staying where it belongs. Maybe that doesn't make sense? Do you know what I may have done wrong? 5:44
My macarons browned a little, so I turned down my oven on the next back and decreased the time for the third batch. The moral of the story is that I need an oven thermometer. Besides the slightly browned macarons, this recipe works beautifully when followed. I also lost my circle mat, so my macarons were a little large, but I got 16 complete macarons from this recipe. Thank you for the detailed steps.

Pulse your granulated sugar in your food processor a bit to get super fine sugar. Keep going and add a bit of cornstarch if you want powdered sugar

My siblings ate the rest. Then when my husband went to get some there was one more left. He was so mad! They ate them all up like pigs! I’m so happy I found this. Now I have a new holiday tradition. I used the egg yolks to make French buttercream which worked well with jam for the filling. Thank you so much for this video!

I made some today but the feet spread. They didn't stand tall with the feet staying where it belongs. Maybe that doesn't make sense? Do you know what I may have done wrong? 5:44

My macarons browned a little, so I turned down my oven on the next back and decreased the time for the third batch. The moral of the story is that I need an oven thermometer. Besides the slightly browned macarons, this recipe works beautifully when followed. I also lost my circle mat, so my macarons were a little large, but I got 16 complete macarons from this recipe. Thank you for the detailed steps.
