Dude, you are a boss. Just like Bob Ross, you make everyone feel like they can paint. And they can thanks to videos like this. I love your style and the way you explain things. Yeah you're just awesome. Keep being you.
Ana' you kindred spirit! You took the words right out of my mouth! Honestly, my comment was going to start with the word 'Dude' (although I'm British) and include a reference the Uncle Bob! You put it much better than I would've though. X
I was looking into painting grinch mountain for Christmas and came across this post. Very helpful in explaining how to add depth to mountains and clouds. Thanks 🙏🏻

Wow! Fantastic! Not Only the painting, but also the explanation. Im from Germany and some artists are Not so easy to understand for me, but Here you do that really great! I can understand everything and Its nice to listen to your voice. I will try it out, thanks for the inspiration!
You started with something very simple.. light blue sky which I could not expect something good can come out... but then along the process, wow! something magical, strong and gigantic emerged.
I love your teaching style and approach to art. Especially appreciated your most important video about PRACTICE! Thanks for all of the wonderful videos!
Great piece Ryan! I really enjoy these 10 min projects (watching and making them). I feel like you really can practice your skills by following your tutorials.
Wow, this is just amazing! This makes me just want to leave everything and begin. And with the fact that this takes only ten minutes, I feel like I am a master in paint! Thank you so much!
Thank you Ryan.for teaching in such a way that every person understand.this is what I've been searching in you tube for months.and finally I could find this Amazing channel.thank you fir sharing your knowledge. Keep up the good works.hope you will share acrylic paintings like this more in the future as well for beginners. Thanks again
thank you Aryan ,excellent job you give those painting a life of their own, greetings from Dominica nature island in the Caribbean ,come visit some day ,here is a painter's paradise.
Love it - I’m a beginner and can’t paint very well but watching this tutorial has made me feel I can get better and paint something like this. Thank you.
This is absolutely gorgeous! I'm a very nervous painter, always worrying I'm going to mess it up before I even have something to mess up lol your 10 min paintings have freed my mind a little from that hold and you've taught me some great techniques! Thank you so much and keep the videos coming! :D
Ryan O'Rourke - Artist Thank you! ^.^ You're like the Bob Ross of acrylics. You've already helped me so much! I've been wanting to try one of your 10 min paintings, but I'm not sure which one to try first. which scene would you say is easiest for a beginner?
We all bring our own set of skills, preferences, and techniques to the canvas. So in a way we all interject our own personalities into each piece and that really isn’t a bad thing at all. It keeps it interesting :)
I just started acrylic painting on my own after taking a few classes. I am so glad I found you on UA-cam. You are absolutely a wonderful teacher and artist. I thank my lucky stars for you!
every tutorial i have seen lately uses a pallet knife for the mountains that i just don't have and watching you get such a cool effect with just a brush was very exciting and i couldn't wait to give it a go, so thankyou for making that decision
Excellent tutorial Ryan. Something I'll look into down the track. Only 2 months into my journey of drawing and started with pencils. Thanks for sharing! Impressive and look forward to attempting painting at some point in the future. Cheers
This is beautiful Ryan I always trust you to give my some inspiration and my mojos been a bit low lately so Thanks. Its a beautiful place I want to go there. You make things look easier than they are but I continue to keep painting x
Aw dude i love your paintings, last night i followed along to this one, of course it didnt come out half as nice as yours but I still enjoyed painting along, will definitely do this again soon! Keep doing these paintings you’re amazing!
I noticed that the final still shot of the painting had more detail in it than before you finished. Did you just add more black and white? Both ways look awesome, but the final look had so much more detail. Fabulous job.
This is so beautiful. I love the simplicity of the colours. I will be trying this soon. I've tried Bob Ross' version but he uses oil paint and with Acrylics it doesn't really work the same at least not for me as a newbie.
@@RyanORourkeArtist Really!? That's good to know. I'm still trying to master acrylics especially mountain scenes that I love. Yours was truly spectacular and you make it look so easy. Do most beginners struggle with doing mountain scenes. Is it truly harder than it looks or is it just a matter of practice. What was your beginning experience like when painting mountain scenes? BTW I struggle the same with clouds amd galaxy type scenes.
Hi! Just wondering, how do you sketch the first outline? Could you add a few minutes of the tutorial to show us how to draw this stuff? Thanks a bunch! Love all that you do, it helps me so much!
Thank you for your comment! We are currently working on several new ideas for the channel, your suggestion is something that we will strongly consider for the future :)
I love your tutorials! Thanks for inspiring me to paint again. I am used to oils. What's the difference between oils and acrylics? How should I modify your tutorials for oils since you use acrylics? Thanks!
Wow, another amazing painting. Do you paint wet into wet or does the layers have to be dry first? Thank you so much Ryan. I love your work, you are so talented.
In my lessons I paint both wet into wet and wet into dry, it all depends on the subject and the effect you desire. When you want a softer, more subdued effect I would recommend painting wet into wet. When you want something to look sharp or distinct, then painting wet over dry is a more optimal process.
Dude, you are a boss.
Just like Bob Ross, you make everyone feel like they can paint. And they can thanks to videos like this.

I know this is an old video but I really appreciated you using a brush instead of a knife. I haven't practiced too much with the knife. Really helpful

Don't ever be afraid of making mistakes while painting. You can always let the bottom layer dry and start again :) It's a very forgiving medium.

New sub,I like the way you block in colors and then make sure your values are right, I seem to get carried away with highlights too early. Thanks.

Thanks for showing how to paint the mountains with just a brush. All of the videos that i watched used a palette knife :')
Really glad you found it useful! It's important to remember that when it comes to painting, you can really do anything in a hundred different ways :)

Nice, some great tips, be well
If you don't have a large round-headed brush, would a large square-headed brush work?
Where can I find the Large round headed brush that you used it in the video for the fog?
