Something me and my 80 year old uncle shared mutual love of outboards and vintage outbards. Hes an omc man and so am i. my collection ranges from 20's brass era up to late 90s.
Those were the good ole days for sure, back in the 50's I spent some time living on a lake in WI when I was a kid, stayed with water-skiing until the mid 1980's, crowded lakes and expensive boats took me away from it....
I had a water ski class through Cal St Northridge at Castaic Lake in 1985, probably my favorite class in all my college years! Sure beat the heck out of chemistry! 😂
So bizarre that they don't have a hand throttle. Poor Tom has to keep one hand on the wheel and the other on the tiller-throttle. No possible way can Tom cop a feel.
haha all big twins had a twist grip throttle what are you talking about? he just used the tiller to "speed up" his turn instead of using the helm in really tight quarters.

So cool! Those old Bigtwins had plenty of grunt for sure....

Owned a 1968 6 HP Fisherman bought used in 1969 $150.00. A great little engine, great at slow trolling or flat out. Go Evinrude🇺🇸👍
Awesome, I love old advertising.
1950's OMC motors are the best!!

The Big Twin was actually a 25hp engine...
