I am the pack rat that saves every nut, bolt, screw, and straight piece of wood because you never know. I also admire strong woman. My parents raised 5 girls. No boys at all. My father remodeled our 5 bedroom house himself. I was the help. Now at age 64, I can still use any power tool, draw up plans and complete projects on my own. My husband still wants to hire things done.

As you were speaking about going back to spaces, I immediately pictured my childhood home. My parents lived there for over 50 years. I remember the last time I walked out of that house, when my mom sold it and moved to her apartment more than a decade ago. 💔 all of the cement my dad poured with our names and dates, the barn my dad built, the tiny bedroom all four girls shared, the kitchen where my mama cooked 50 yrs of family meals...dad gone in 2006, mom in Dec 2022...I'll always have the memories. Suggestion from a retired firefighter, (no bad comment, Jeremy... remember you might have a firefighter son). I would recommend an oil-filled radiator heater for the tiny house. No exposed heat element and no fan to worry about. You could set up one centrally in the middle of the house and it will convectively heat the tiny home and keep things from freezing. You can't keep adjusting the temp on these as they take a while to heat the room up or cool it down due to convection, so it's a "set it and forget it" operation, but they are very safe, economical and have fall protection. Carry on...

Jeremy, when you caulk , carry a wet clean rag with you. Wipe the caulk with a wet finger and use the rag to clean as you go (rinse it out often , til you get the hang of it
    There's good videos out there.

If you get a large dehumidifier it will help huge with the humidity and moisture issues. And you can run it all the time if you have it self draining into the sink. Just make sure you have all the doors in the tiny home open for maximum help.

Great video folks, giving the house inside the barn some TLC for an upcoming visit and sharing it's part in your journey to the Forever Home was awesome. You put your blessings into it again. Thanks for sharing with us, stay safe and keep up the great work and videos. Fred.

Watching and listening to this video, it's a revelation I had: y'all left everything behind to start a new, and it was a bit of the unknown. Then, barn went up, and y'all made this liveable space, a sense of home, as y'all left the tiny space; now, you've moved into your dream home, the ultimate goal.
It's like in the spiritual, we are new babes in the LORD, as we grow, transform and mature, eventually, we reach our ultimate goal.
    What an inspiration. Blessings.💖

Waste not, want not. It's never a bad thing to hang onto useful items such as wood, cardboard boxes, etc. The old tiny home will work out great as a spare guest quarters, and/ workout room. Love ya'll ❤️

What a journey you guys have had!! I found your channel when your time-lapse of the tiny home build showed up on my feed, and I've been following ever since. I now follow at least 5 channels that are doing similar things as you guys- moving away from the big city to start a new life for the family and build the dream homestead. You guys are the first family I started following, and my favorite of course. ;) Especially since you have a daughter with the same name as me, lol. You guys have inspired me so much! I look forward to seeing your garage build, and then eventually the new barn build!

I can see why the bunkbed was thrown away. When the important support structures are made of 2x2, it's not going to last long. But I agree with Jeremy on saving good wood. Every builder has a scrap pile -- tools of the trade.
