    I guess some of these folks don't get it that nothing about your EDC, Level 1/2/3, whatever the new cool way of labeling it is not cast in stone. You set your gear up the way it works for you, everything you watch, see, hear concerning said gear is just options, ideas on how it may work better. Keep the faith, I'm gonna go operate operationally.

    I've been an infantryman for nearly 20 years. We have to be able to stand for days, get in/out of vehicles, run, climb over walls and through windows, high and low crawl through all kinds of terrain.
    Lessons I learned is to wear as little as possible, keep anything off the back of my belt that's hard (soft things are ok), and keep as little as possible on the front.
    Crawling on rocky/gravelly ground will let you know what is durable and if your setup make sense.

    I now find myself making a “war belt”. I technically already have like 4, but not a “dedicated” war belt to blow money on. I’m not going to go super max expensive. Like you, I’m going to use my Glock field knife. For years, I’ve been using my all leather rig for a similar job.
    So... I was at the range. Local S.W.A.T. Was qualifying....or not... when the instructor begins to grade on a curve for performance instead of following the standards to the letter then, you know... fail. I asked if I could try their course while they were wasting our time hogging the range on their lunch break (hour and a half). I shot their course that they shot with Colt M4 (Model6920 I think) 5.56mm; and I used my Colt M1911-A1 “Classic” series 70 model. I beat them all on time, speed, accuracy and unlike them, I hit the 75 yard target. Instructor asks me, where did you learn how to do that? I’m impressed at how aggressive you were too. I said I’m 10 years retired out of the U.S. Army.

    Yeah, it works and it isn't overpriced (like 5.11). Anything that allows the common joe to "OPERATE!" or be a better equipped member of his sphere/community is a win for Liberty in my book. Preserving and defending the Constitution shouldn't just be for those people who make 6 figures with no other dependents or responsibilities. Milsurp works good too, when you can find what works for you. Thank you Bear, great video.

    Curious if the Bear in this video knew just how soon his messages about 'Getting your gear out of the blue tub it lives in and go train with it" and "Because Bear said so! The world's gonna end and my belts not squared away" were really going to come to fruition. I've been called crazy from friends and family for a long time, and now they are all starting to understand the message.

    Firefights are about running, and squatting.
    Long as you can do that over and over and over again, and have enough ammo that I don't have to give you half of mine, then your good with me lol.
    LBE isnt meant to be a damn survival vest tho, people tend to put too much of the stuff that should be in their ruck, onto their LBE.
    But you know what, who cares what you run, long as you run it well and it's reliable equipment that you can trust.

      But Bear “Teaches” what he’s seen in the movies. The man has NEVER been in the military and/or law enforcement, so he really has NO clue. 🙄😂

    • @mrdark9916
      @mrdark9916 3 роки тому

      @@blackriveroutfitters7185 you don't have to be police or military to live a prepared lifestyle, and have a basic understanding of personal protection and survival skills.
      Most MIL/LE have never been in a firefight or urban/wilderness survival situation either....
      And bein MIL/LE doesn't even mean you have great skills in weapon handling or shooting either, basic training is just that. Basic.
      I know many civilians who are better shooters than many MIL/LE people I know.

    • @blackriveroutfitters7185
      @blackriveroutfitters7185 3 роки тому

      @@mrdark9916 Obviously my point was missed and it went entirely over you head and went in the bleachers in left field. So I will try once again. IF ANY PERSONS SORRY REAR HAS NEVER SERVED A DAY IN THE MILITARY AND OR LAW ENFORCEMENT THEN YOU DAMN SURE SHOULDN’T BE ACTING LIKE THEY HAVE. Is that in plain and simple enough English to understand? To act and talk like you have done those things is a complete slap in the face to those of us that have. I shall even give you an example to further assist you in understanding. Example if I were to use terminology and act like a Navy Seal even though I was never a Navy Seal is a slap in the face to those that have actually done it. He needs to save that crap for playing video games, airsoft or paintball war games.

    Hey Bear, I might have a suggestion for your buckle fail. I'm not too familiar with Condor gear but for a replacement buckle have you thought about getting an old ALCE pistol belt, taking the buckle off of it and putting the buckle on your belt? It most definitely not match in color but the surplus belt buckle will probably be a higher quality than the Condor one.
    I personally don't run Condor as it's a bit out of my price range (I'm poor), so I'm stuck with old surplus gear. Anyway good vid sir and have a good one.
