My wife has a spare bedroom full of purses, shoes and clothes. Not to mention the 35 years of me never having a closet or only two drawers to use for me So she don’t really care what I buy so I’m lucky. She does wonder why I need multiple ifak and trauma kits.
Wife: ''Why do you need a war belt??'' Me: ''I'll be shooting a lot of rounds to vent out after the divorce, so i want to carry a lot of magazines.'' Wife: ''What divorce??'' Me: ''The one you'll get if you don't stop asking so many questions.'' *puts on war belt, curves the cap visor and walks away*

Two of my favorite UA-camrs when it comes to shooting guns and a wealth of very useful and helpful information. Helluva squad along with others in that Oregon meet you guys had.
The Kore Essentials Battle Belt has by far been the BEST duty belt I have ever worn. Micro pals webbing, 4" worth of 1/4" adjustments WHILE WEARING the belt (no fighting with Cobra buckles to adjust sizing), it is cut specifically for you and your pant measurement instead of sizes of small, med and large so it fits EXACTLY how you want it too, weather that be lose or very snug and you can go between those two at any time with no hassle and without removing all of your kit! The belt is extremely rigid due to the multi layer system having a plastic center, the nylon has a subtle sheen to it that looks very professional while wearing duty blues and is thin/light weight so it doesn't dig into your hips and back while driving. I have worn it with full duty equipment such as taser, asp, mags, 2x cuffs, pistol, keys, TQ and it holds everything perfectly. I have also worn it in conjunction with an outer carry vest so only running mags and pistol and holds everything tight to my body without having to move the buckle around or do anything crazy to get it to fit properly after removing all of the gear that was on it prior. Has been one of the best investments I have made in my 7 years on the job!
I have a large waist so there is plenty of space. items where you sit is worth it. dont put gear or items on your spine. thats a serious er visit. try to have access with weapons or gear with either hand. Thats the Robert hindi method(las vegas metro pd).
You guys provide amazing information I share your videos with my militia and we use you for training thank you for putting your knowledge out and for free at that keep doing what you are doing stay frosty
Wow, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. I have 2 of their belts. The Emissary and the Covert. I just looked at my order emails: The Emissary took 3 weeks from date of purchase and the Covert took 8 weeks. I love the Emissary. It's clean, simple and easy. The Covert is a bit overly complicated, but I still like it. Good luck with the dispute. I hope they do the right thing.
Good job Gentleman . The both of you are very respected in the gun community and we need you both "Even better when you team up" to continue to be teachers and advocates for us the firearm community. Good info and advice. Thanks again Team LBnGT. Darin T. Kleen
You two are a heckuva team. I hope you realize how much you "click". I appreciate how much you bring from separate points of view, due to a variation of missions. Separate, you're very informative. Together, you're extraordinarily informative. I appreciate your individual talents, and you're both a credit to the "operator" arena. Thanks for the video, and I look forward to your next one. You guys are very motivating.
I’ve got a bunch of old woodland stuff I can send you. I got my first set in 93 going through Officer candidate school and then several other sets after that until we switched over to digital cammies. I’d never get rid of my flight suits though. Especially the one I ejected in.
Great video, thanks guys. Question for Mike: do you have to take all the pouches and gear off your belt in order to slide the belt out of your pants belt loops? Doesn't that get to be kind of a pain? Or do you just leave your gun belt attached to the same pair of pants all the time and machine wash the whole thing? Also, thoughts on the most tactical accessories to decorate my mom's basement with?
My needs are fairly advanced. Nightly patrols in my living room with a high probability of phantom intruders needing to be engaged and destroyed all the while not making enough noise to get my in trouble with my CO/wife. So stealth is of the upmost importance. I run tactical briefs with the occasional work socks I didn't remove immediately upon getting back to base....er I mean my house.
love my Stormrider Gear belt system! the version I got has PALLS around it so i can mount my pouches directly on the outer belt, when it doubles over it can get a little bulky, but is an awesome, simple system
Good point on the dump pouch. Empty mags should go to the ground. Not back on you. Only used mags that should ever be held onto are after a tac reload.
Squirreltakular How does letting an empty mag drop to the ground get people killed? If you are storing empty mags that means you are either catching them as you release them to do a mag change. Which is incorrect. Or your bending over after you drop it to pick it up and store it. Which is worse.
Blanket statement, man. If I told you to assault an enemy position over about 200m of open terrain, and your entire company conducted emergency reloads without retention as they were buddy rushing, you're all going ro be missing half your magazines by the time you get there. Now, that's fine if you're fighting in Iraq or Afg and you have a bunch of spare mags in the ASP isos back at your FOB, but if you transplant that situation to a modern greenside conflict against China/Russia/Iran, or if you're talking about the partisan fighting against a government, mag retention actually becomes important. Obviously you let it hit the ground if you are conducting an emergency reload and someone is right there shooting at you, but with cover or suppressive fire, you need to hang on to your shit if you can.
Watch GT's video about belt setups. He says he doesn't run a dump pouch because he doesn't need one. I imagine the dude is running DA missions and not having resupply isn't an issue for him. Lucas is a competitor, not a warfighter, so he has a different outlook. Different uses for different jobs, but as a general statement (obviously there will be exceptions), the average grunt or partisan needs to only use that pouch for empties.
Squirreltakular I can see your point. It doesn’t apply to every situation. I was more referring to doing mag changes under fire while there is still an active threat. The time lost trying to store empty mags or the chance of accidentally reloading an empty mag is what I worry about. If your doing tactical reloads with mags that still have rounds left usually your not under fire and have the time to store mags. But I can definitely see the need to keeps your mags if you don’t have a steady supply of them. Or the ability after the fight is over to go back and recover them.
He plugging gear, lol! If not his gear, friends of his...i.e....Coyote Tactical. So, that always kind of sucks when watching these. Couldve just did one battle belt that hes put together most recently...not 2 with a 3rd on tap!

Great video ! The Dump Pouch is the most important item to have on the Survival Belt, so the zombies do not follow ! And a Dual Pistol Mag Pouch can hold pistol magazines or Pepper/Bear Spay and Multi-Tool. Thank you for the video ! tjl
@Jake Heke they look super cool with all that extra movement, meanwhile the only extra moves I got is figuring out which mag pouch I stuffed my chickey nuggies in.
I like Lucas' set up. I personally would rather have 2 load outs like that. I see a bunch of hate but one is for competition ( like I would like for the range ) and another is more aggressive for pistol and rifle as a " war belt ". Like he said, adapt your belt to what YOU want. Don't like his set up then make your own. Appreciate the break down Lucas your videos have helped a lot. I just got my Custom Sidecar ( krytek raid and lime green ) I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Best conceal carry holster I've tried so far. Fits like a glove.
With that being said I will soon be purchasing a belt set up similar to your competition set up. I wish I knew a place near houston that has outdoor scenario ranges like you get to use. It would be awesome to train like that.
I've been using a modified Garand Thumb belt set up for 3-gun. Seems to be working good. I'd like to add the estac Kiwi pouches eventually but for now my Bravo Concealment pouches are working great.

Mikes like, keep in mind ppl put too much on their belt...blah, blah, blah...keep it simple. Lucas is just standing there agreeing with this horde of belt belt mass, lol!
Actually Mike was, not sure if he is still an USAF PJ.... and yes in MOUNT or CQB we go through about several boxes of chem lights marking rooms and building... so yes having a chem light dispenser like that would MOST certainly be an extremely useful piece of kit.... but I'm only speculating because I've only have 20 years of military service With multiple combat Tours...and multiple Deployments to Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.. And actually everything he said is spot on with guys who run belts and kit.....
+Alaskan Hunter hes in other funny youtube videos as a "med school" student. I have no clear idea who or what G T is but id guess & say Medical Doctor or resident who was a csar or pararescue.

Dutch253 the company commander that gives a long winded weekend safety briefing.
+WickedSensation lol
PERFECT description
Just because he's not in the military doesn't mean he's not serving his country. Any citizen ready to take up arms to defend the Constitution is serving. Meanwhile you're being a hater on the internet, nice one guy.
I have a small goat to carry all my shit.
Yeoman BEST COMMENT HANDS DOWN!! BATTLE BAPHOMET!!
Who milspec mojo ?
Mikes like, keep in mind ppl put too much on their belt...blah, blah, blah...keep it simple. Lucas is just standing there agreeing with this horde of belt belt mass, lol!
you say as mike has a giant chem light dispenser on his belt which he doesn't really need
Donny Reisdorf because Lucas is not rude, and if you missed Lucas said keep it simple
Mike does need the chem lights since that's the belt he uses overseas and during MOUT training operations.
To use my medkit, I hold down X, right?
Great vid, ...also need more shooting footage of you both.
Thanks this kind of helps. For the moment I'm only shooting pistol and trying to set up a belt for that. Trying to go with the what you need motto 👍
Great job guys keep up the good work
at 2:06 you can hear a bullet inches away from the mic that they are using.
6 years later what're the chances of a revisit see how far belts have come
lucas can you make the coolest, least effective kit imaginable and make a video on what not to do?
Not sure if this has been covered yet but the Ronin Senshi belt is not recommended for rappelling. The only Molle gun belt I can find that is approved for rappelling is Ish Antonios (PJ) Misty Mountain ISH Assault belt.
you are very fast man! good job!
