I love how right Oliver is when he says the Monitor caused the Crisis. Sure, he’s not actively trying to destroy the multiverse, but the multiverse wouldn’t be being destroyed if it wasn’t for his hubris in trying to see the dawn of time. The deaths of an infinite number of people are on his hands
If he sent them back they would have disintegrated from Anti matter. Barry tried to go forward in time and got injured by it pretty badly around this time. A mortal would have undoubtedly died.
Let's also not forget that the monitor created the elseworlds. Which devastated earth 90, and would've caused Kara and Barry to die if not for Oliver sacrificing himself. If the monitor didn't do the elseworlds, Earth 90 would be fine, and Barry and Kara's destiny to die in 2018 wouldn't have happened, which means Olivers fate in Crisis wouldn't be sealed. He just sucks so much
