- everything I did I did based off of biblical lore so this is basically my interpretation of the character Lucifer obviously everyone is aloud to have there own ideas about what they think he looks like but this is mine so please kept that in mind anyway

Your version of Lucifer looks better and powerful. I'm thinking about re-working Lilith in a mixture of your character design and my visual look on her. So can I have your permission to use your look at designing for this re-imagined.
I'm not hating on your video and I haven't even finished it completely but I would like to add this funny thing I thought of while watching the beginning of it. I look exactly like my dad I'm biologically female he's biologically male but we look identical we have the exact same face (literally I took a mold of my face and it fits on his perfectly), we both have asymmetrical hands and they look exactly the same, we have the exact same hair too except his is a little bristlier and a tad darker, when he was my age he looked more feminine than I do besides the chest, and we both have no ass 😂 I joke that I'm his female clone all the time. My sibling looks like a blend of my mom and dad as expected but I've always look like my dad. When my sibling was compared to my dad's sisters I was always still compared with our dad I don't know anyone else who looks as close to their dad as me though so I'm an outlier. It is possible though.

While, I will admit Viv making Lucifer look somewhat angelic is a really interesting concept. Your design is really great and communicates much more clearly that he’s an intimidating leader.

I love that you gave him a serious face expression rather than his og smile, as afterall, he was casted down, forced to live with sinners, is always disappointed with his daughter, and he’s ruler of hell.
I never liked how almost every character (other than husk and vaggie) has a wide/ happy smile all the time
I suppose you can interpret his smile as a way to hide how truly depressed and miserable he is in Hell, especially after splitting up with Lilith and losing his connection with his daughter because of it.
Plus, Lucifer is the King of Pride, so I suppose it makes sense for him to smile as it would denote pride and confidence he has himself both as a ruler and denotes power among his wayward subjects. At least that's what I think. And like Alastor said "Smile my dear. You know, you're never fully dressed without one."
I can see this man being in a dope ass manga version of hazbin hotel, I'd love to see this design in action 😭

I love how you made the staff very simple, but still very pleasant to look at. It's not boring or overwhelming at all

I don't think Lucifer's redesign is cliché considering most depict him as either Satan or a red-skinned Devil, here the Lucifer we see is a fallen angel who has become a demonic shadow of his former self, who's exile has tarnished his radiance and scarred his beauty.

Thank you and yup a big reason why I've been trying to make different outfits for everyone I recently saw someone comment that everyone's outfit look alike cause there time periods are so close and I nearly screamed when they put a link to 1 fashion history blog and I'm like OH MY GOD no there is literally thousands of different ways you can make a suit and historical fashion has more than one look like you have work clothes evening clothes your fancy party clothes like it's not hard sorry I'm just tired of the "fans" giving water downed excuses for vivs laziness when it comes to fashion

personally an issue i keep finding with hazbin's designs is the lack of diverse body shapes? it's limiting and is a little hard to gather their personalities when their all so similar.
The design feels better for his role as King of Hell and I really love the gold & black theme for evil characters, here it just makes him pop out against the red background, and now he just looks a little silly with the rubber ducks in his pose. I heard that Vivizepop wants Weird Al to voice him or someone similar, but I don't know if that's who is going to voice him.
Thank you and yeah me too something about a fallen angel in black always seemed like the best fit and yeah I planned to take them away but ppl seemed to love them so much and asked if was gonna keep it sooo yeah lol and yeah I've heard her say that and unfortunately/thankfully weird Al is actually very religious and vivziepop has already tried to reach out to him and he has declined her I think someone like Matthew Rhys would be a cool VA

Brooooo, Vivz' s Lucifer looks like he gets pegged by his wife, like a submissive little clown 😭😭😭😭😭
You elevated him to a level where i can envision him dominating the room by just being there and observing shit, a cold and distant Ceaser type of king, almost always half cloaked in shadow so that his eyes glow sinisterly. All the other princes would freeze and cower the moment Lucifer gets involved in the argument or even hear the noise of his heels on the marble flooring, just echoing as if something ominous is approaching.
Seeing an upload from you really lifted my whole day, i wasn't expecting such a surprise! Really hope you are doing better now, you dont have to force an upload if you cannot, it makes your videos all the more special when they suddenly appear outta nowhere. Wish you all the best ^^

I can definitely see him doing that. This design just screams prince of hell in all his wickedness. Vivziepop's definitely looks a little more submissive, in my opinion.

Yeah I never really got why most depictions of Lucifer have him rocking a white suit... Now granted, I absolutely adored the heck out of Peter Stormare's portrayal of him in Constantine (I mean the dude really looked good in a white suit and so did Jared Padalecki) but still. A darker color pallet just seems way more appropriate for someone who's often described as evil in its purest form, so I absolutely love your take on him! Also I've had Biblical lore and such practically crammed down my throat since I was a kid and my dad still occasionally goes on long tirades and it's super annoying, so yeah, I understand completely
I like to think hed wear white when talking to humans like "be not a afraid" instead of straight up scaring them hed leave that for later XD and Ah I feel that I got alot of kid bibles for my birthday 😑

In general we can tell that Vivzie loves 2 things way too much:
The color red
Suits and top hats
I didn’t mind Lucifer in the context of being Charlie’s dad, but I hated his design in the context of ‘oh yeah this is Satan btw’ 😂. Your design is flawless, a very dark and foreboding color palette with hints of darkened gold for regality, the striking golden eyes that look almost unnatural compared to other demons (which makes sense since he isn’t originally a demon himself), the pseudo angelic crown, his simplistic yet pleasant looking staff that still eludes to the story of Eden (instead of that goofy ass top hat) the burnt arm, MMM. My favorite design of yours so far next to the Stolas family redesigns. Well done

Well, to be fair Lucifer isn’t satan. In the context of the show, satan and Lucifer are two completely different characters. Lucifer is king of hell and prince of the pride ring, Satan is prince of the wrath ring. We don’t know what Satan will look like but we can assume he’s going to look like how we normally imagine the devil (scary muscle-y red man with horns).
Lucifer’s design makes sense to me. He’s a fallen angel, and in the Bible he’s described as being the most beautiful of angels. Demonic transformations don’t work the same way in Viv’s universe as it is described in the Bible (remember, she takes heavy INSPIRATION from many religions, it’s not supposed to be the same. So it’s weird to critique how anyone looks or acts because this is it’s own independent universe, not an adaptation of the Bible)
Also, there is actual thought behind his design. He’s supposed to dress like a circus ringmaster. If you look closely there are a lot of circus designs in the show (for example, a wall might show elephants on bouncing balls). All of the princes of hell are supposed to be different acts in a circus, if you look it up you can find some explanations for each of the princes we’ve met so far through helluva boss.

Despite being a Christian, I actually really like this design because it's so freaking accurate and Vivziepop's just looks like a normal, almost human ringleader in my opinion. Your version however looks like the actual prince of darkness. He just screams "I'm the wicked ruler of this dangerous place" or something like that. And as for the part about having recurring depression, I completely understand that and I know how it can affect your life. Whenever that stuff pops up don't worry about what others think. You just focus on yourself and take your time in posting videos. Take care of yourself. I hope I don't offend or upset you by saying this but I'll be praying for you. 💕

I like your idea for the circus theming around the hotel cuz it can also emphasize how much of a joke the rest of Hell thinks this whole business is also it was very common in the old days of circus to have a freak Show so with Nifty being so small she could be the little person and Cherry is the pyrotechnic
Okay Lucifer with darker colors?? Such a great idea(the use of red and mainly white on Viv's designs kinda seems off to me) and I love the biblical inspiration for him, would love to see how you do with the next redesigns(and I hope your mental health is getting better no pressure!)

I love your version of Lucifer! He looks so dignified and powerful and *old.* Like your design actually gives me the impression that he's ancient. Viv's design is fine and I also have no big issues with it. But my main (and really only) gripe with her version was that I always figured Lucifer should be... you know, intimidating? And I'm just not getting that vibe from the HH design. I get she's doing her own thing and that's cool, but he just feels kinda underwhelming to me. 😕
Also I agree that he looks more like Charlie's sibling. I get demons and other supernatural beings wouldn't age like humans so ofc Lucifer would still look kinda young-ish, but from a design standpoint it just doesn't work if you want me to believe the 2 of them were father and daughter. Hell I would've immediately assumed they were siblings if I didn't know anything about HH.

I'm a sucker for dark fantasy, Castlevania, old school prince outfits and you put all that in one character! ABSOLUTELLY STUNNING! THIS IS YOUR BEST WORK YET!

I don't really think it matters how his proportions are because he isn't a human ( though its your opinion on how he looks).

While I don't have any beef with Viziespops(I know i didn't spell that right but I'm to lazy to check how it's spelt)Lucifer, I think it's simple but in a good way and has it's own menacing type of aura, but now I REALLY wish your version of Lucifer was the one that's going to be in the show!
Though, as a side thought, I wonder how Charlie would look, if she had features more like you version of Lucifer.. honestly, I think she'd rock the diluted-dust red hair.

Gosh I love Lilith's design, she truly looks like someone with the tittle of "Mother of all demons", a very Mother is Mothering type of character.
Also I like how different Charlie looks from the rest of her family, probably because she has a more candy red instead of the more crimson her mom has, even her softer ears and yellow sclera makes her look more different and friendly.
I honestly love your version of Lucifer and how he felt more accurate to biblical lore, and plus he actually looks like a king which is a HUGE bonus lmao
When it comes to his canon design I actually really like his design as well idky he just looks cute to me lmao but I do agree with you that he does look pretty bland for a king, great video :D

Personally with the official design I believe the only other reason to give him that kind of smile, besides being a Tumblr Sexyman, is to have a smile off with Alastor. Since Al perceives always wearing a smile to be a dominance thing.

I like Vivzie's design for the porcelain doll inspiration, because... well, they're made to look all beautiful and delicate, but your design took the 'prideful beauty' part of the lore and run with it. He looks absolutely gorgeous, and the red mane was just wonderful.

I've always liked the idea of the first humans looking like porcelain dolls since they where made to just hang out in the garden (like gods playing house with them) and have no abilities and dont live in heaven
This is so cool! And the fact you researched to make him biblical accurate makes me so happy! Also I'm still laughing when someone got mad and replied in my comment on your post because I said that the official Hazbin Hotel design for Lucifer looks like another background character in the show. Like all you have to do is take away the apples and the few seconds in the pilot where it shows Charlie's family painting and people wouldn't have known it was him.

I like VivziePop's Lucifer design, but I also really like yours! I love his dark and washed out colors and broody expression, as well as his outfit. I think it all fits him really well! I also like how you did his left hand. Plus, his eyes look soo cool. I like the dark sclera but vibrant iris.

Like, imagine. This reimagined Lucifer, but he often cracks dad jokes in front of his daughter to look cool. And still is the loving, trying-his-damn-best parent his canon HH version is (well since the Dad Beat Dad ep anyway cuz depression is not funny) cuz that’d be sweet, no kidding.

I can also imagine him with depression because he is NOT happy to be where he’s at. The way I see it, both the canon biblical lore (probably) and the HH lore are prone to giving depression. Like, imagine your own father loves another, younger child of his more and literally commands you to obey said child. I can perfectly imagine your version going like “What?! Why?! Where did I go wrong?!” and start what God sees as a rebellion because he wanted answers (and perhaps for God to notice him again too, perhaps?). And end up dumped in a pitch, having to deal with what made him envious to the point of doing what he did. Yeah, no, I can imagine the trauma and the constant “Where was I not enough?” he drowns himself in everyday. That- that’d probably go with the pattern the more… not-inherently-a-bad-thing Deadly Sins have going on.
Also your Lucifer has burnt black feathery wings and is insanely insecure about them and I will die on that hill. I’m- I’m sorry, I just can’t remove that image from my head 😂 No, like, imagine. The Sin of PRIDE, insecure about a part of himself! That’s just sad and funny for no goddamn reason 😅

I love your Lucifer design so much!! He actually does look much more like a king and someone that you can generally respect or be fearful of! Which I think the og design of Lucifer kind of lacks, but I still like the og design. It's mainly a matter of, "Would I absolutely shit myself if I came face to face with him in reality?".
Before watching the video, I've seen the other post on Twitter your take on Lucifer and seeing his hair red made me think about how Charlie back then used to be a red-headed character. It's not an important detail, but kinda thought it was coincidental a funny detail to notice.
He looks like he should be on the cover of one of those cool YA fantasy novels. Which I would definitely read.

I was actually very disappointed in Viv's Lucifer as you stated before, just looks like a ringleader. I love your style as it brings out what the bible and artists have depicted on what he would have looked like. 100/10
As an artist with ADHD, I totally relate to the intro... Don't feel bad about missing uploads! Mental health just sucks sometimes, and that's completely okay.
P.S. I'm absolutely in love with this redesign!! This video inspired me to start working on my comic's villains again, especially since one of them has a backstory similar to Lucifer's. I want to thank you because I've been a bit stuck on how to approach their designs for a while! ^.^

Okay, your Lucifer is daddy. Like he's just it! I love how he has that dark, mysterious yet bit gothic kind of look to him. Makes him stand out from the more... comedic(?) aspects of HH. Could see your Lucifer getting a lot of stans, which I'm sure he hates even more. Cuz, ew, humans

Now that I think about it, Lucifer's design might have been a little foreshadowing of his personality. Not to mention, he WAS an angel, and their core design colors are always very light or just yellow and white. But either way, I really like your design! Imagining your design having canon Lucifer's personality is funny to think of, imagine the audience sees the back of a dark and intimidating King of Hell, but then he gets all excited of making a duck! Hah! Love it.
My only complaint is that he should've looked at least shorter because I still love seeing Alastor just pissing him off because of his height, short king supremacy 😆
Your absolutely okay to take long breaks it's important to take care of yourself also I'm glad you redesign him i had so many problems with him, mainly with his outfit i wish they could have made him more like ringleader or more hellish, but i love your interpretation of him, also i hope Lilith design doesn't look off but i don't have high hopes, but either way your design is amazing!
Yeah I've seen another artist make his outfit more ringleader like but added some fun elements too I'm personally so tired of the circus theme as it kinda limits everything and same I'm not looking forward to lilith at all

Honestly I like the idea of Lucifer in white more than black because his name means light bringer and all
Also I’ve seen two shows now where Lucifer wears white and Michael black and I just adore that so much
I like it too and could work if Lucifer gos to earth to mess with the humans or make a deal tricking them into thinking hes not what they've always thought only to reveal his darker self and as for his name it's more of a ironic thing now ever since his fall as he no longer spreads light like used too

He's gorgeous, and I'm loving the pallet as well. He truly stands out amongst the washes of red. Wonderful use of the gold too. The apple and snake theming is really nice too. Its not a candy apple on a stick anymore. I'm glad you with the biblical themes as inspiration, it has a lot to be inspired by.
One thing that confuses me about the world viv made is how the demons age. You have some that age like humans do than you have ones that age slowly like mythological demons typically do. But this changes from character to character. Do demons stop aging or slow down eventually? Is lucifer hundreds of years old or is he just a few decades older than his daughter? Stolas and his kid are rather close being that they are still in their decades. Do you see where I'm coming from with this?
Yeah the age thing is all over the place I'm pretty sure lilith and Lucifer are immortal and dont age as they where made to look like that by God where charlie is also immortal but does age just slowly, human sinners dont age (they stay the same age they died) or die unless eaten or destroyed by Angel's as for the helluvaboss side I know the native demons do age and die but as for the goetia princes I have no idea since viv isn't following there biblical lore anymore it's hard to tell how stolas and the others age
He looks so cool!! I also love the idea of the circus theme being confined to the hotel, that would be really interesting! I think Niffty could maybe be in charge of food and Cherri could be a performer that works with fire in a bunch of different ways like eating and juggling

GOD DAMN HE LOOKS COOL!!!! you did such a amazing job on him! also I really appreciate you sharing all if not most of the info you found while doing the designs. because Lucifer also being a redhead ( Thor from North mythology is also one) was probably something I would never have found out about in all my life.
I'm also surprised you didn't mention the incident where the church commissioned a guy to make them a statue of Lucifer but he made him too hot so they then commissioned his brother who proceeded to make it even hotter one 😁

P.S. a quick thought before I go - I really like the idea of Lucifer leaning into angelic stuff (like golden color and fake crown) because… well… in Hell nobody is scared of anything more than an angel, right? That would give him the sense of a powerful presence in the world already full of sharp-teethed bright-red monsters. This would further show us that he IS the true ultimate power here and make him really stand out

It doesn't even have to be vivziepop related, I would love to see how you would interpret the other sins from the description given from the bible alone and how you would make them look in general. I actually have three of the deadly sins drawn out I was waiting for Lucifer to drop to start the series and there all pretty much my own take though I'll probably still include vivziepop versions as kinda like this is what she took from the lore and this is what I took from it though stolas isn't a sin he still part of hells army so him and his family will be next
