I noticed in advanced setup menu that there is a setting for number of limits. Is it possible to run a 2nd limit on the gate for the the open limit? I have 1 limit actuator installed for the right limit, and have done the limit setup, but the thing still heads too far when opening. Possible to add 2nd actuator for the left limit?
Thank you for the comment. The unit should be set to single limit. On the very rare occasion it is left on dual to test the operators. Does the limit overrun during or after setup?
@@nicksandtrickssa Sorry for late reply. It overran after setup. On inspection we found the FETs had blown. It also started to eat up fuses and whoever installed the gate didn't do to well with mounting the leading wheel. Motor would run at full speed no matter what. Could only be fixed with a new board. So we did that, welded down the leading wheel and then grinding down the paving a bit where it was riding up (only a problem now after the wheel was welded). So far so good. Would ve really useful to have 2 limits instead of gate length calculation. But for now, just happy the darn thing works. :)
Thank you for the info My problem is that the gate runs halfway when it opens and on closing the gate reverse automatically without pressing the remote any help please
Thank you for the comment Neville, you have to turn up the force, please note that turning up the force will require a bigger force to stop the gate... If the gate always stopped at the same point, it can be the track or rack, check the gate wheels as well. Last thing to check is the spacing between the rack on the gate and the cog. Should be a even spacing throughout the travel of the gate. Lastly a fresh battery will also help.
Hello, I have an ET Drive 500/600, and when I want to program the opening, after selecting the option "Set Close Direct Press < or >" and the message "Finding closed limit" comes out, but instead of the motor moving, this error message "Check motor conn limit" comes out, and I don't know what it is about.
Thank you for the comment Claudio. Please swop the 2pin connectors of the battery and the motor caabke connectors. Sometimes the motor connector is overtightened and it can have an effect on the setup
ok soooo, encoder stall is a bit tricky, power down completely, unplug all green connectors, and remove the card, you have to check inside the casing if anything looks and smells damaged, sometimes when rebooting the card and unplugging and putting back together it starts to work, the loadshedding causes the pcb to do this error. also does it happen when power is off or while there is power?
Thank you for your comment, the gate uses the magnet for the closed position, check the limit light manually to see if it turns on, if not check you magnet on the rack.
Good day Sakhile You will have to program a holiday lock button on your remote ua-cam.com/video/7g0PeErNSlA/v-deo.html When u get to the button trigger type, scroll to holiday lock out instead of button trigger Once u have a holiday lock button programmed, do the following... Press the holiday lock button, and while it is beeping, u press and release a normal button trigger button It will now cancel the holiday lock
Thank you for the comment. You will have to look at the limit magnet on the rack, on the board there is a limit l and a limit r. When the gate is at the limit magnet, the limit light must be on. If not contact your installer to assist
Awesome!
Thanx
Can anyone assit me i am having a problem with my remote setup on my et 500_600 it says comms error when i press the square
thank you for the comment, but i will have to look into that issue, have not yet come across this issue before
Comms error is usually a faulty controller. RF comms error can sometimes be cleared by cycling the power.

Thank you for your comment Victor, it is for the Drive 500/600 only, is has the same green 2pin connectors, what seem to be the issue your having?
@@nicksandtrickssa as of now am at the gate i want to sort it out this problem, but i cant see any 2 green pin there please help
What is the issue with the gate motor? Do you have a blue cover or a green cover?
Hi, i have a problem, the motor display say "limit fault open manual reléase " how i can fix this problem, please help me.
Thank you for the comment Eduardo, is it giving both errors? Is the green and white connected on the board, is the door closed?

The same thing happened to me and it was just a matter of cleaning the engine carbons, check to see if they are worn if not, just clean them well.
