Actually army doesn't always equal being toned in Korea. My ex was a soldier in the korean army. He told me that some come out fit, some look the same, But a lot actually gain weight. He said cause once you are at the end of your service you are the highest rank and you don't have to do as much. Also once you get out of army people tend to pig out on the food they couldn't eat for roughly 2 years.
Hoeseung was a bit chubby when he joined Produce 101. He just started to lose weight after the show, maybe that's why abs are showing. But he looks hella good!
You can enlist in the military as early as 18 (voluntarily) and when they reach the age of 20 they are required to enlist. I believe Hoeseung found out that his friend enlisted in the military to he joined him.

They were quite a known indie band there and finally officially debuted in Korea in 2015 with the mv "Awesome". They had one comebak last year "Lonely" and this year they had taken a long break as they discussed about adding a new member. They finallt decided on produce 101 trainee Hweseung and he made his official debut with them in this comeback mv. The other members consists of Seunghyub (leader and main vocalist/rapper), Kwangjin (bassist, sub rapper and eldest hyung, former member of labelmate band CNBLUE), Hun (guitarist and sub vocalist) and Jaehyun (drummer and former maknae, Hweseung is the new maknae now lmao. Jaehyung also appeared on Weightlifting Fairt) Overall theyre a talented bunch of boys who deserves as much support as they can get and if you want to get to know them, try watching their episodes on One Night Study~

astonixingly fab actually they added hoeseung first to nflying and sent him to pd101 to gain some experience. They thought he would be eliminated right away but he stayed until ep 9 and became popular 😂😂 their ceo told this in their showcase~ and btw their hiatus lasted 2 years not 1 year:D
