Hey guys, I made this to discuss the common theme I have been noticing lately on the Forums, and on Reddit, people claiming they spend hours and hours farming, yet only have 6k coin, or 8k coin.. This is completely impossible, unless they are wasting it, or not taking advantage of the ingame ways to make coin!
I pve farming world drops for the better part of 8 hrs and have like 5k more by the end of the day. Something doesn't add up
I think the thing is every thing is used for something. So farming u have choice of sale or use to level craft and or upgread your own gear. This is what keeps me at low gold. Its an up hill battle until you are at a point when you dont need anything anymore. There is no sure fire way yo make thousands in short time unless you farm that stuff and sale. Btw i farm the stuff you talk about all the time and i will do it for over an hour and after the sale make about 600.. that is not good value
Wondering if you use the gear associated with said farming. For example, harvester set for fiber, skinning for rawhide etc?
@@eyedulhands this is another thing. I've spent about 30 hours farming this week, but I don't have any gear sets. I use the T3 proficiency pot (that's the highest I can make) and the yielding song for myself. Many times I'm running into empty spots because someone comes along and does the 1 hit farm. All my mats have gone into leveling my professions, and I'll make about 300 gold from killing the mobs I encounter. But even then, 4 hours of farming only add up to about 5 levels of profession skill. I have gotten a lot of gathering crates, but I've been using those to make the legendary mats. I finally finished my 600 gs winter fest craft recipes 2 days ago.
this is exactly my case. The only difference is that I have not levelled up my crafting skills. I only pushed jewellery crafting to 188 but I stopped because it became to expensive to reach 200. Most of the loot i get from chestruns doesnt sell or sells for dirt cheap. I'm hoping i can get some money back once I start doing M10s
I’d like to add one thing for new players: remember new world is also a game not just a farming simulator, go do dungeons, events etc every now and then, don’t obsess over making money to buy bis items cause you’ll get burned out, I know this because my friends who made me download NW have 400 hours each and exactly 0 dungeon completions across the 2 of them and they quit.
this is true, I made this video in response to specific comments, so sorry if it seemed singularly minded ;P
in some servers farming and making lots of money can turn into real money. that's why farming is obsessing
Super down to earth video, this is so true. I was a super try hard mmorpg player in many many years, now im casual, 7-15 hrs a week, but saving gold is no problem.
Thanks for this, while I do most of these things already. It was good to actually see it put into perspective. Also just wanted to shout you out for one of your recent vids when you mentioned crafting the corrupted lodestones. Has been a huge money maker for me :)
Glad it was helpful!
I was leveling Weaponsmith from 180 by farming globes, crafting runeglass cases and selling it. At the lvl195 I already purchased loaded dices, purchased by ordering full armoring, engineering and weaponsmith armor sets and trophy mats and still have money flow. I'm so glad I choose this way over faster one by purchasing tons of mats and crafting GS just to throw my money away and salvage it.
Just hope someone could find it useful.
Being said farming globs also allows me to test various gear setups doing it solo and in a groups. As DPS now I'm pretty much confident about perks I want for the most of the situations in dungeons like cleaning mobs with good/bad healer/tank and doing max dmg to the bosses.
Using right armor/jew/weapons/skills/perks now allows me to farm globs anytime solo with 5 con without dying 9 out of 10 pulls :-)
Thanks for this (and all your videos). I also find a post-it note or spreadsheet to be valuable to remind me what's next on my list of goals for this or the next session. And don't forget to just play and enjoy the game. It's not all about the grind.
That's a great idea!
I don't usually subscribe or comment. However, this is top grade work, my friend. Without the fundamentals, you will never be proficient at anything. Love the work
I honestly didn't think about everything that way, you put it in such an easy way how could anyone not understand that gold is not hard to make
I see something huge that’s missing in new world content. I see almost no videos on pve damage builds and understanding what perks are best for such. I would highly recommend build videos explaining what to use and why for certain types of mobs (ie bow/spear for corruption or great axe/hatchet for angry earth etc). It’s taken me months to gather enough info for my tempest run. I think they would get tons of views and open up a lot of conversation to us to like pve
I had in the past made str/weakness video's covering that, but I will update, the only difference now is that in the last patch they removed the npc resists they once had , making almost anything viable now
There are a ton of videos about pve builds out there.
@@megafliege7170 show me a bow spear pve dps that explains which perks to have and why. I haven’t found one that’s useful. There are tons showing damage but not what they used to get the damage. Pvp there are many
Aaa the head glitch in the cats🤣!! This game man
Nice vid btw 👍🏼
Thanks 😅
Thanks again, puts things in perspective.
My pleasure!
The Lions saying "Nooo!" bug lol.
that Lion head is freaking out I love it
The concepts in this video are certainly the best takeaways but for the raw resources your results will vary per server depending on how many bots are there. One tip I would add is instead of timing out one whole hour of a method, do it for 10 minutes and multiply it by 6. Sure it won't be totally accurate, but you'll get a good ballpark and can test 5-6 methods in an hour so the next go-around you can hone in on the most profitable ones to see how you do and weed out the seriously underperforming methods, especially if you don't have a ton of time to play.
My method, being a lover of dungeon running, is to sell gear and weapon drops. So many people just automatically salvage anything non legendary or that doesn't work with their build. For anything that's Bind on Equip (purple or gold), take the time to look up those exact perks, weight, slot, etc. on the trade post and see what they are listed for. Over time, you will learn what perks and stats are desirable or in short supply and the process will be quicker. At least on my server, it's typical that I will make at least an extra 1-3k per run off of random purples I get, sometimes way more if a desired legendary drops. Of course this not only applies to dungeons but any content that drops gear.
Really great video.
Thank you, this is very helpful for a new player like myself.
Glad to hear it!
Bro, are you calling me lazy? Are you ACTUALLY calling me lazy??!
Fair point...
Best new world videos on UA-cam keep up the great work..
Wow, thanks!
As someone who has followed every "BEST WAY TO MAKE GOLD" video for New World, and watch it ruin the market for the next few weeks.
I have to say that this is literally the best "HOW TO MAKE GOLD IN NEW WORLD" video ever.
Love your content and it has helped me out a lot over the course of playing the game. Having said that though one issue that I have with this type of video is that almost every single content creator says something like you did, “a super casual player who only has 3.5 hours a night and weekends to play”. I believe that this is a highly unrealistic estimate on what time a casual player has to devote to gaming even if you assume this is the only game you play. According to steam spy (not sure how accurate this is) the median play time in the last two weeks was about 10 hours, so at least 50% of the player base are spending around 40 mins a day playing. Those of us who can’t play as much will always have less than those who can in games like these which is just the way it works.
40 minutes play time per day in this style of game will really make it tough to accomplish anything :/ In an interview with a dev on WoW about 4 years ago a guy asked him a question at blizzcon.. " do you have any advice for people who can only play an mmo for 1 hour a day".. and his response.. stick yo phone games :/ that sounds rude, and I do not mean it to be, but the reality is in some cases it might take 30 minutes jsut to get people organized to run an expedition :/
This guy helped me more than like 20 ytbers together!
thx man keep up the good work.
ps. can we aknoledge wtf this lion at 9:45 is doing lmao:)
So thats a kick in the butt for me lmao... great video
I play like a month and already reached gold cap like 2 times as completely new player to new world. Just from Elite chest trains and trophy runs :)
I've started as a new player now. Once at launch and just a few days ago now. What I found works pretty well is vegetables. More specifically broccoli. Its not really high value, but its pretty consistant as a starter. This is all before you reach the higher trading skills. I farmed about 2 - 3k veggies (corn, broccoli etc..). Together with quest coin etc.. it accumulated about 15k now at level 45. Got me pretty decently into the market. Was about the same the first time round. Its not a whole lot. But i found it a good starting point
The cat had to hit u with the dance before you killed it 😂
lol ya notice I stop pulling fast, cause i couldn't stop laughing, everyone of them.. brain worms in Auternum!
As a new New World player, thanks for these types of videos. I just hit level 60 maybe a week+ ago and have been wondering how to make good coin because this is my first MMO. Your videos are by far the most helpful I have seen, I made 12K in one day after watching one of your videos which I'm sure is not much compared to how much others are making daily.
Well said.
The lions at the end were freaking me out. Awesome video though overall, I like learning ways to make money that aren't just the most popular ones that everyone is doing.
Would loveeee a checklist of your dailies :-)
Great points!
ty :)
I remember when my server was about to be merged with another. I made a new character on that server and checked the market prices. I found some perk item that was selling for 30 gold on there. On my server it only cost about 4 gold. You bet I bought couple thousand of them with my friends and when the servers merged quickly sold them for the profit :D
nice
Amen !
Very good vid! Also this advice can carry over to real life just as easy, plan, predict, execute and you will be successful in and out game!
Thanks!
This is the calmest, passive aggressiveness I've ever seen you on a guide video xD the tips are very helpful.
I keep seeing it everywhere, I am not entirely convinced they are sincere questions being asked, or people trying to lowkey shit on the game.. because how is it possible to play 2 weeks, claiming to be farming for hours, and have 8k coin
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming I know what you mean. It's great that you put these things into light because these are the points that we all needed to hear. Not those clickbait titles like "BEST FARMING SPOTS!" and "SELL THESE NOW! BEST MONEY MAKER!" because honestly, even if these youtubers use these as a strat to flip the market or hide their spots, its the reason why I sometimes think UA-cam played in the role of ruining New World's economy. So yeah, thanks again for bringing up these points without bringing up that clickbait crap.
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming I guess casual players also doesn't know about yield
I personally just try and get all the elite chests in brim every day and that’s about it. I’ve made almost 450k in a month just from scarabs, glyphs and rare recipe drops. Just join an ecr it takes like 80 minutes to do all of brim :)
Simply mass farming tier 1 ressources is enough to make a solid bag of coin to start doing flipping, or buying ( buy orders if you can wait ) the mats for the daily refining crafts and sell them after ( don't sell on buy orders lmao )
Greenwood / charcoal is in so much quantity, no idea how people don't make coins
Also the video on armoring expertise farm is a great way ( and i believe that will never change unless they change the expertise chest loots ) to make a ton of coin with very low effort, i farm my rawhide while being semi afk, playing TFT at the same time or watching videos ( picture in picture add-on is your best friend single monitor bros )
at the 10:00 mark "... as a super-casual playing only 3.5 hours a day....."...interesting viewpoint :) your guide makes sense though, can apply this to my super-super-casual gaming time ;)
The reality is for an mmo, 3 hr a day is super casual.. I think thats why to be fair the mmo is a dieing genre :/
My issue was that I would farm rawhide and never refine it, just immediately sell it on the trade house so I never got to the point where I could do the cool downs like runic leather.
I’m stuck under 10k but I am also spending my money to level my trade skills when I’m not farming mats for Aptitude or the super expensive mats I need to level. I just enjoy watching your videos to hear the numbers and the math behind how I manage to make 30k in a day and be back at 10k after flying through my levels LOL
ya leveling crafting is very costly :)
When playing GW2 l watched a 2h podcast from the richest players in the game on how to make gold. Other game, same principles 😉 Tip nr 1 Don't go for rare high ticket items but focus in steady consistant income 🤫
good overall tutorial, even for experienced players. the only problem is to actually do it :P
Man i wish id sell my cds but im a crafter and i have never sold a single cool down. Infact i buy so much asmo, runic, pw, glit ebony from the tp so as a new player you will most definitely make money from these tips. Great video as always. And when getting endgame gear id say selling your cooldowns and just saving to buy gear from the trading post is the better option cause man crafting is a huge gamble. But its alot better now cause you can craft gear and pick 2 perks and an attribute to go on your gear with the addition of golden scarabs.
oh YES! Thats what I was alluding to at the end, when you have taken 2-3 months of casual play and saved 1.5 million, buy your bis shit :)
Crafting is still a scam. I calculated a while ago how much coin it would cost me to craft the specific chest piece I want and it was 1.2m with average luck.
You could also try and fit in a round of 3v3/opr to level pvp track, which can net some 400-1.5k+ coin as a reward. Just another bit of icing on top as some times the coins are the better reward offered of the 3
ya there are a ton of things you can do, that was my point really, people posting its impossible, just isnt true
3rd week and just grinding 2 hours per day. I was able to get legendary gears on tools with 100k on bank. Just skinning and harvesting with a little bit of mining. Gonna grind that 200 trade skill for the aptitude boxes. 5 head is helpful for new players
Nice work!
So.... 42 hours played..... and all that huh? 🤔
@@583290mcj thats very reasonable and easy to obtain.
Another tip. Find raw mats in tp that can refined and sell same amount or higher. The extra accumulation is profit.and gives you xp for refining. Raining coin.
Great tip!
The first recommendations are really good and new players should definitely listen to these recommendations, but around the middle of the video the recommendations are more suitable for advanced players (still good recommendations), but it will not be easy (or impossible) for new players to do the dailies (asmodium, phoenix weave, etc.). Also, to average 1.5 golden scarabs per day you have to visit every chest, particularly the acid ones, which again it is very difficult for new players. I would add to these recommendations to find something you like and find a way to profit from it. For example, if you like fishing and you are a beginner go to windsward and try to catch catfish then sell the whiskers. If you are a rabbit hunter sell the high level meat. There are ways to profit from nearly everything you do in the game. Another piece of advise is to avoid filling buy orders, as a new player this is tempting, but your time invested is worth much less, sometimes half as much as waiting for the sell order to go through. I strongly agree with the video that trophy runs are a waste of time unless your luck level is high, but you won't reach a good luck level until you have played for several hundred hours. I personally find these runs boring and monotonous, which is why I tend to buy the trophies, but that is just me.
I do not understand why people would be 60 and not max refining, I mean even smelting is so easy, 0-50 - make 705 charcoal, 50-100 - make 453 gold ingots..100-150 - make 525 starmetal ingots, then 150-200 take yor time, but still only requires making 818 orichalcum ingots, wich sell decent so you end up with more coin then you started with :/
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming personally was very held back or slowed down due to bagspace issues since getting to where you can craft decently sized bags can be rough espescially the 100-150 mark. And since you're trying to make money, spending up to between 20-30k on new bags on a fresh start server doesn't feel worth. just my imidiate thoughts.
@@eviliusducain8395 join a company ask someone in it that already has leveled armoring to make the bags for you (you bring the mats, most people would craft for free for company mates)
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming on my 2md character I bought all the mats for my refining and then I had enough mats for daily cooldowns for a long time. Alternative like upu said you can sell it back. It's kinda a profit eitherway + a big time saver.
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming It isn't maxing the skill that is the issue doing the "dailies" it is getting the materials, whilst making it worthwhile. At current market prices It would be a significant loss to but the raw materials, which also means if I farm I am better off just selling the materials than refining them.
Admittedly my numbers assume 0 extras, but as a new player I only get about 10% extra from refining most items and I am pretty sure that even allowing for the additional refines still wouldn't make a profit.
Don't get me wrong, I am happy I cam make enough farming anyway, and will soon be able to start buying the gear to make things more efficient (At the point of trying to decide which to focus on first). I just wanted to back up Claudio's argument that the dailies are not really new player friendly.
Another easy addition to the daily gold is with all those faction tokens you stack up. Buy the best bag Rune you can and sell them. It's literally just a few extra mouse clicks.
Good tip!
As much as I agree with the sentiment of choosing not to work for your gold, I don't have the skills leveled to 200 required to do pretty much all of the above dailies because of IRL things, I have gold from farming dungeons and elite runs, but nothing insane.
I just came back to the game after being gone for a year (Vahalla Server). Finding a Guild that makes a point of doing stuff together (Arena, Dungeons, etc) and isn't toxic is freaking hard. Sucks since this should be a guild-combat focused game.
I play on val halla, and there are soem great folks there, sadly though, those same people tend to avoid chat, have to meet people doing runs, or farming bosses etc
2 hours per day, i focus on 3 daily factions, acid pool, diamond gypsums, brimstone chest run (only). I got every thing such as: 3 legendary bags => 70 minutes(25% + 16%x3) for luck food, all major crafting trophies, all basic combat trophy, all legendary tools. The brimstone chest run is the best chest run right now so focus on that.
I don't get this. Done Brimstone chest runs every day for almost two months. Never received anything close to that. Besides expertise, everything is pretty much trash for me. It's almost conspiratorial. Farmed gear for hours upon hours never to see it drop, yet my group mates get multiples.
7:15 Takes a lot more than an hour and a half when you don't have the mats sitting in the bank to make the 10-14 asmonium, runic leather, Phoenixweave, ect.
your correct, but compared to a few months ago when you needed nearly 250k in mats , talking numbers like 17k infused leather etc
Sadly I don't have the motivation to play lately (rather invest the time into other games atm), but you always bring great content for this game.
No matter if I return to the game or not, it's always nice to quickly catch up on it through your videos. Looking forward to continue doing that.
Happy holidays
Understandable
I love these guides for new players... That expect you to know a bunch of stuff. Make what? Some faction what? Do this, but you have to have a high level of crafting to craft it. But you don't know how to craft. Not busting on you personally, just everyone who puts these out. No one remembers what it's like to be a new player.
I have over 600 guides covering everything I summarized here in very step by step detail.. I couldn't possibly do that here or the video would be 5 hours.. I mentioned over 11 times to check the guides in the description for more in depth detail..My video's are not like the standard big youtuber ones.. I am known for my newb friendly in depth detail
Man my issue is that I save everything I get. Like I got an armorer's journal when it was like 24k but didn't know the real value or how much it would drop and now it's 8k. Idk. I just play, but my cash stays around 35k and I've never tried to make money yet. I also craft a ton, so I always think hmm I'll use these mats later but they'll probably all drop in value overtime. Also those lions glitching out are horrific.
i just do my scarab runs and make my cooldowns. I dont farm the mats unfortunately bc it does take time. I do sell off other ticket items that people tend to buy from dungeons
Nice!
I don't know if they are from a gold selling outfit or what but there are characters that do BS and RW chest runs 24/7. With the increased trophy mat drop rate and these types running all the time the trophy mat prices have taken a nose dive. Add to the fact that the new incoming player base who would be in the market for trophies is stagnant. Major Amouring can be had for 20k. Right now the best market is consumables. It's not a big 20k pay out but it's a steady reliable income.
I've played alot of mmos and this one is by far the easiest to make money in
I friggin HATE farming, but I'm quickly realising it's going to be a necessity if I want more gold coming in haha.
Ya, at least at first, like I say, when you have a nice nest egg, then you can play the market
You know 5 Head. If I woke up in a room handcuffed to the wall, and through a tiny speaker I heard your voice. It would be alright.
Could you make a video on the glyph/acid chest route please?
The no no animals are pretty freaky
Some good advice in there for sure, just wouldn't say the majority of it is really "new player friendly"
Agree with the start of the vid but as it gets into the later stages I feel that the majority of the content mentioned is for mid-late game players rather than new players, max refining skills, max level, endgame zone chest runs etc. Also prices are very off compared to some servers, take the cooldown mats for example (which you later say don't sell anyway cus you're being merched so not sure why you'd even include them in the first place) asmodeum on my server would net 1.7-2.3k and that's the most expensive cd mat on the market. Runestone is at a whopping 47 low for some reason.
I also don't agree that it's "just 2-3 hours a day" when you are including crafting cooldown mats while also stating that you've not touched the market yet since those require multiple hours to gather the mats themselves to craft them, especially on more populated servers where resources like ironwood/wyrdwood/ori(maybe not as bad)/lodestone are going to be hard to gather as they're so heavily farmed.
the ydo take time, but getting 50 of each tier 5 material doesnt take multiple hours.. unless your farming to stock pile for a month ..
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming Also depends on server pop, on my main that's on Maramma I've been unable to get ironwood trees in the time slot I play in for several weeks now, and Brightwood wyrdwood is almost always camped so I rarely get that without going out of my way to the single spots in Edengrove, while on the fresh start server it's a bit more readily available
Got lucky today with my asmo got a 5bonus
It depens on the server. Mostly. But not every resource is easy to farm as others... so I doubt on that.
In my server, Charged Sand is 100 gold each. But it takes time to farm it since they are all over the area.
ill be honest, im one of those people who plays for 15+ hours a day and barely ever do my dailies and im always poor. I need to watch this video for the next week and get all those down, i dont think the chest runs at the pools is something i can pull off alone, but the other stuff absolutely. Mostly for money i like putting up a ton of resource and food buy orders, than flipping it for 2x the price but that takes a lot of time. It would be really nice if my server had a discord and i could join a company and do the dungons. But my server is also on a diff time zone so my peak time there are very few people on. Lots of variables!
The trick to the pools if you are struggling is socketed gear with corruption resist, and a padding in the socket, this doubles your acid ticker :)
Do acid pools, skin hide, I fish now and that's gonna lead to cutting gems...
hello can you give me what to do list everyday as a fresh 60 ,what should be my aim and which equip i must get first , thank before :)
I am a bit confused - you should do your daily cooldowns and sell them on the market or not?
Love how the 1st glimps of TP there is a bot listing for 2 rawhide at 0.17 that constantly refreshes to try and catch someone going to fast listing items and to sell it for a lower price and then buy it before they can cancel it. Same thing with fiber. It is the same 2 on my world as well.
Ya they have some trash tactics
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming my sugestion is to put a captcha when trying to access the TP. Don't have to investigate bots if you make them useless.
I know players who does that too. So it's not just bots.
I like buying the cheap stuff they list:D
same herte but with t4 gems was going for 0.32 each so i just bought them all out haha
Daily CD's require materials. They aren't free coin. You either need to farm for those materials or buy them from the market. That will significantly reduce the value of those cooldowns based upon other oppourtunity costs. It's also very server dependent. There's also the effect of RMT on the server, which is rampant in game. I've found personally farming T1 and T4 materials the simplest use of time and effort for coin.
it takes almost no time to farm 50 of each tier 5 material, you can do that while doing any simple activity..
And with refining bonuses , the reality of the tier 5 materials you need to farm for is more like 30, not 50 , so it is still a significant profit
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming but you've also forgotten the actual costs of even getting to the levels where you can even do daily CDs. There is a significant time and cost involved in doing that.
This isn't a beginner guide or newbie friendly guide.
I love your videos, and have been following your crafting videos to leveling trade skills.
But I think this one misses the mark for a lot of players, especially those of us new to the game in the last few months. I’m a super casual player, no company, only one house, and there’s no way I can put in 3 hours a day. I’m lucky if I get that on the weekend. Add that to not having maxed trade skills, and there is a lot of money referenced in this guide that isn’t available to me. Now whatever farming I do I have to balance with keeping the items for my own leveling, or selling them to buy back later for leveling or having to farm again. I sit between 8k and 20k based on whatever I’m able to sell from my WT runs or dungeons to break up my farming monotony. Then I buy the items I don’t want to farm, like snail slime or other items higher farmed on my server like iron wood. A lot of us just aren’t to this point yet where this money is “easy” if you put the time in. We either have money or continue growing our characters. This feels more targeted to those players with maxed trade skills, full houses with trophies, gathering gear, etc. I’ll put this in my saved videos for down the road though.
Spot on. This isnt a 'first steps' guide by any stretch and your comments are totally valid. I enjoy these videos too, but this just isnt one of them that resonates well.
If you can't play 3 hours a day then go play a different game genre. This is an MMORPG, why are you playing something you can't actually progress in?
@@Dezman90 Oh yeah, my bad for playing a game I want to for my own reasons, despite my other obligations in life. I’ll just see myself out.
The best way to make coins is super simple just sell shards. Get a warded set for dungeons and sell shards it's that simple 30k per gold run. So 30k for ina. Sweat group 20 min or less. 25 min worst case scenario
Sweatlord Jim 🤓
What do you mean don't sell your cooldowns ? Where or what I do to get th crafting dailys
Can’t help that don’t wanna be helped but it’s nice for you to try😅
Those posts simply confuse me
Well usualy im with you and yeah not beeing able to make 10k is bs . But i have to disagree the cd crafting , i mean not everyone is into that part , hitting trees for hrs isnt the most exiting thing in new world . I started again with brimstone sands and not beeing able to smack elementarys makes the whole leveling thing tedious , also if ye wanna craft more or less serious you need the gear im just watching the market and buying pieces that are around 1-2k but even that just deletes the daily money you got . But yeah doin 3 dungeons for the faction bonus and collecting some christmas trees shouldnt be that hard for most ppl , doin that every day and your good . Btw i hate chest runs .... wtf would i "play a game" and run around collecting chests ... im skiping all that until i have my crafting up to collect recipes ... my time is to precious to do that . Keep it goin !
Honestly it’s not hard to make coin. So many reddit posts about this lately haha.
Hit trees to 10 mins, make planks and or lumber. It’s high demand. Even the cactus flesh is going for 1g per on our server because of the T5 desert sunrise. Spend 10 mins in the TP, look at what is easy to get, spend 30 mins farming then go play the game.
Do dungeon faction quests like Tempest - 285 per mission, plus you get gold in the dungeon with named items you can upgrade that you don’t have to spend money on. Some of that gear is pretty neat.
Just take 10 mins of your 1-3 hours per day (or even week!) to study the demand of items. Choose the easiest to farm then enjoy yourself afterwards! Stop spending money on useless crap!
Be as self sufficient as possible. Say you’re queuing for mutations, go hit some iron while you wait.
Really want trophy mats? Join the Ebsonscale ECR once a day or multiple if you’re feeling bored. Takes 10-15 mins tops. You might get lucky. If not, you now have reagents to refine with. Or you know, sell them. The random gems you get from crates are worth a bit depending on the mutation rotation too.
Exactly :)
All my homies hate Jim and the 16 hours a day he has to play….
lol
Nice video thank you... but I laughed out loud when you called super casual playing 3 hour a day.
For an mmo that is super casual.. thats the issue with modern mmo's, you have 2 types of players now.. the old schoolers and the new 5 hours a week players.. in order to make content that these new players can progress in you end up with a large % of the player base finishing entire expansions in 10 hours :/
Super casual is 3.5 hours a day! Then I am extreme casual :)
Ya, this is in truth the entire reason The mmo will die I believe in a few years, these days people say things and believe things like, that 3.5 hours a day is a ton.. But only 5-6 years ago, if you said I can't play 3 hours every day, most would say, then stick to phone games:P
I do not get gold bags from closing level 25 portals. Is this a bug?
when you talk about cooldowns are you saying that they give you coin for just crafting them or are you putting them on the trading post for people to buy? I'm a fresh 60 and need some help
ah ya putting them on the trading post, cooldown materials always sell, and sell easily
The pacing is fine but damn it's a grind to get trophies oml
Yes, trophy's are rough, but they are so much cheaper these days, then 6 months ago :)
In order to make 10k a day off of cooldown mats you have to farm the raw materials. That will take a lot more than 30min especially on higher pop servers where the competition is higher.
50 of each,. this takes almost no time, I play on one of the highest pop servers..
this is where I got confused. First he said do the daily cooldowns but then later he said don't sale them?
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming i get only from 20000 rawhide 4000 gold on my server
you can still make almost double what you pay for the mats used to craft your dailys. I make 3k to 3.5k a day from jus buying the mats and selling them. Takes 0 time.
Which faction quests are best to do for gold factoring in time spent
wich faction are you ? this depends on faction :/
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming oh really? I’m Covenant
I just started the other day and I have 17k gold
I wouldn't mind seeing a glyph chest route that is efficient for soloing. I kinda just wander around doing them but its pretty inefficient.
sure I will work on it :)
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming Awesome! thank you for the content!
Please explain what "use your cooldowns for yourself and don't sell them"
How do they make you coin if you don't sell them? Does crafting your cooldowns give you a bag of coin?
Sorry if this seems like a stupid question I'm new and haven't even interacted with crafting yet
The unfortunate thing is that servers that have a lower playerbase suffer drastically from the prices of these cooldown items. Doing resource cooldowns + event coins + portal coins + faction missions is only 5,000g on the high end, closer to 4,500g. Rawhide is around 900g/hr, Fibers are 600g/hr, Stone is at 550g/hr, Green Wood is at 650g/hr. Golden Scarabs are almost under 1,000g each. None of them are great value for your time unfortunately. Yes, you can still make gold, but it does take at least twice the amount of time on lower pop servers than high pop servers. At that point, it almost doesn't feel good to sell anything and instead just horde it all until they decide to merge fresh start servers again and again to get things closer to the pop cap. I do like where this video is going though! Just wanted to comment from a server that is barely hitting 1000 players peak a day.
Yeah im in that boat , either I play one of my toons on a high player base server where the mats are always farmed and the lag is terrible . Or play on my main on my low playerbase server where i can farm most mats i want no problem but can barely sale anything for any decent coin.
Gonna link this video every time I see people cry on Reddit
Once a month.... um the meta changes every couple of weeks....
I personally farm gold scarabs for money, but obviously that’s at level 60. Sometimes I can get 3 scarabs from Helio and whatnot, but I can’t seem to get a better way to make money more consistently at level 60, do you have any ideas?
man so many, with iron hide being almost 1 coin per, cutting gens using the stone cutter set, buying infused armoring frags when they are 50 coin per converting to asmodeum, you make 75 coin per conversion, really lately there are a ton of way
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming appreciate it, thanks for the help!
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming not on YGG it’s 0.3 last time I checked
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming I did the asmo conversion but it only worked for a couple weeks until people caught on :(
The armoring method left me broke, I had insanely bad luck :(
please tell me you did not buy the materials, I cant stress enough how huge of a gamble it is doing it that way,
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming I don't have the time to farm them. I knew the risk and I took it. Guess I learned my lesson heh.
It's overall a good video, but to craft the daily items you mentioned, you need multiple skills raised to 200. That is not realistic for a "new player".
refining skills, if you are 60 it really is, refining skills are ridiculously easy to max now, requiring very little actual materials or refines
I am pretty sure the majority of people complaining about gold cant do daily cooldowns because they havent maxed out their refining.
Thats the problem, maxing refining is a super low effort thing to do with huge benefits
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming It might be low effort but its fairly long and boring and a ton of people playing the game dont even want to do crafting or refining.
9:30 what's up with his head? lol
brain worms I think
I’m confused, at 5:48 we should be doing our daily cooldowns for free daily gold, but at 8:00 we shouldn’t be selling our daily cooldowns?
The context of the second line makes me think you meant “buying the mats for your cooldowns” is a waste. Was that it?
Selling cooldowns, this means selling the ability to do it, using someone elses mats, where they get the bonuses as well
I just want to mention that on my server... a fresh start server... a lot of these prices you talk about are super high... it's all relative of course so nothing you are saying here is wrong, but the raw numbers might not match server to server... like 11 gold for scarhide is super high and I wouldn't pay that much on my server.
daily crafting takes way longer you have to get the mats.
it takes so little mats, use logic :) that hour i said to farm.. use it one day a week to farm 50 of each tier 5 and the rares, wich you get loads of..
then you have them
farming 50 orichalcum for example is like nothing
I typically take one day per week and just gather mats for cooldowns.. get about 400 planks, leather, etc and just use throughout the week. It takes some time.. but its better than having to run around every day...also. when queingg for expeditions... go farm, build a stock pile
“As a super casual playing roughly 3h per day…”
