Holy crap the infused scraps. I had been doing a little Armoring leveling on fresh start toon per your guide. Was sitting at 143 coming into today. Had been hoarding the purple infused armor scraps and was sitting on 200 of them, but you can't use them until lvl 150. I hit just a hair over 150. The 200 scraps took me the rest of the way . Armoring from 150 - 200 free of charge. Don't forget the little freebies peeps!
@@jonar1939 I kill lots of things and take their stuff :) It's not something to go for intentionally as it won't be fast. It was more of a comment about hey don't forget these guys add up so don't throw them out and hang onto them until your craft level is high enough to let you use them for free craft xp. Like with most things level related, dungeons are good for more than just exp/gs bumps. Happy hunting!

One thing I was wondering is you said you just had the other resources like linen and Iron. What if you were to buy anything. Would it still be profitable ? Or let say I farm leather but buy iron and linen
This is a neat video, and I enjoy 5head’s content. This is a very creative way to make coin. However, a word of caution to new/returning players. This is a creative way to make coin, not a consistent way to make coin. There is a huge gamble if you purchase mats, and an inefficient coin per hour rate if you farm everything. There is a large amount of time invested for the grand total of 841,413 coin from 75 aptitude crates. Your results will vary. To put things in perspective, 75 aptitude crates is crafting 21750 infused leather gloves, or a total of 87,000 infused leather. At the beginning of the video, he states he gathers to craft 10-12k infused leather to do this weekly, which would result in 24-30 armoring aptitude crates per week respectively. So a little over 3 weeks of gathering for this total. Breaking down the coin per hour you would be better off just selling materials if all you’re after is making coin. We all have precious little time to play this game we love. So take this video as an example of how to be creative when making coin. Think outside the box, and then sit down to do the math, and decide if it’s something you’re going to enjoy doing.

Absolute mad lad. The sheer scope of all those crates leaves no two ways about it. Crafting for XP is worth it in the long run. Im curious if there are any other strategies you could use thought, like if you wanted to make higher level gear or gear that is sellable while grinding the aptitude XP.
Brilliant video as always 5 :) i looked into the numbers and it takes roughly 750k rawhide to make about 12k infused leather without the crafting bonuses. How do you gather so much so quickly? Even a week seems a quick turn around! I say it all the time but love your videos, the only real consistent new world content creator out there at the moment, thank you for that!

also, in a video recently posted about farming rawhide, I just(like 30 minutes ago) gathered almost 8k rawhide in 20 minutes at that spot. When refining with 4 of 5 tanner set, I ended up with 30% more coarse leather from just that 8k gather.
funny thing is i did the math for buying all the mats on Orofena and its around 360k to 370k to craft 4750 gloves (19k infused leather/linen + 4750 iron ingots) and the mats from the crates sell for around the same if not a little less/more on Orfena so you'd still make crazy profit for little to no work. that number of gloves sounds about right to you correct?

@@5HeadSurvivalGaming sure, it's a gamble, but except that mode price there is one more thing -- the infused leather price. Currently it's ~20 on Nysa. I farmed exactly 10 000 infused leather and bought iron and fibers, so on ~70 boxes I've got from aptitude that left me approx. 20k minus of the price I could get if I just sold the infused lether straight off. I'm glad it's working for you, but on my server it's nowhere near 3x profit you are talking about in the video.
Great video and really interesting, but I wonder if I am confused - I ran a test run with 6k Infused Leather (and all the salvaged leather from that, and using all the armour scraps for xp), ie about a third of the 18k you used - and got I believe about 9 of each aptitude chest. In your video you got about 25 of each chest (which makes sense, ie about 3x more than me) but you also mention another session you did later that yielded 21 of each chest. From what I can see that 21 chests couldn't have been produced from your 18k infused leather (unless I've made a mistake somehow), but from another source of leather (I'm guessing you'd need another 15 or 16k leather approx?) - is that correct to say? It's really important to those of us with no time to farm who are looking at this purely as a fun gamble for "fill our Buy Orders over time and see if we can profit", particularly those of us on servers where Writhing vines are worthless and consecrated iron probably goes for 50% of your server - as on the face of it it feels like you must have been rolling with over 32-4k+ leather so margins will be slimmer if that's the case.
If you take into account the perfect salvage system with 100 focus (can't remember if that video came out before or after this) then the 25 of each is plausible. Using the 18k infused leather and the salvage system, averaging about 2 back, then the amount stated of about 33k is more closely the actual amount he rolled. (18k+9k+4k+2k...etc). Even with 1 back (18k, 4.5k, 1.15k, etc) it would still yield yield closer to the number of boxes he got. Although the amount back isn't garunteed this might explain the difference. This also doesn't include and scarhide/smolder hide he recieved doing open world things and the armor scraps
I just hit my first 200 in a non gathering skill tonight, in weaving. I need to get back to that armoring that's maybe 156 now, it looks like... I want to level all the skills but I should focus on one for income to pay for the others it seems.
just farmed for a week and got to 10.000 Infused Leather. Crafted them into Infused Leather Gloves which got me 15 of each aptitude chest, so 45 total.. only got 3 Shard of Conescrated Iron, 2 Brilliant Animus and NO Squirming Vines. so i actually lost money compared to if i had just sold the Leather. really weird, dunno if i was just extremely unlucky or not
@5 Head Survival Gaming need to ask how did you get 25 Aptitude levels off 10k infused, this guy got 14. I myself got 9. This part of the process as far as I know is not rng and should be the same for all of us.

I was bored and decided to use some gold and resources to try this and my result was bad, after 14 levels and 42 boxes didnt get any of the good craft mods, only with asmo, runic leather, etc... you dont get enough to even get back your money, so people you should try this only if you can afford to loose lots of gold. It was a fun experience for me btw, will do that again once i recover the gold.

This really didn't work for me. I did 10k infused leather, and lost quite a bit. I did buy everything, but still. 100k in, 40k left. Not worth it sadly. Any tips appreciated
do not buy everything.. thats the biggest issue, as I said in the video it is a gamble, you can come out with 800k or you can come out with 70k.. it is worth it if you farm the majority of your mats.. Def not worth buying now with iron hide at high value
nah weaponsmithing wouldn't be worth it, Arcana is worth it, as is furniture, but thats about it, the other crates require too costly of mats and rewards are meh
I've done the maths and you gonna need 1.280.000 Rawhide for 20k infused leather. Am I wrong? If not, how much time did it take you to farm all of that or do you buy some? Nice video btw
Hey! Wanted to ask you something. I have done a lot of arcana aptitude and now armoring too. Ive noticed that there is a pattern of some sort, or so i believe. And i could somewhat see the pattern in this aptitude opening video too. Like when i started doing arcana i got 5 starmetal weaponsmith charms in a row, then 40 crates and nothing. Surely not random. Also whenever i get squirming vines, there is more to come from next crates, up to 5 or 6 in total. Same with freedom mods. I can swear there is hidden script in the aptitude openings. Would love if you could try and figure it out. I mean if you do get 5 squirming vines from 5 armoring crates all in a row, i guarantee you go 40 dry. And you can calculate the odds of 5 in a row. Its 1/1million probably, 100% not RNG based. Thanks for your time :)
Im going to do this and report back. I have been trying to make money every which way but with limit time to play every day. I'd much rather work to a goal like this over time and return much more. Than feeling like I'm getting no where

Hey fantastic video, is the armors set / trophies necessary for this money making method? I am assuming not as they only affect GS and we dont really care what GS we craft our gloves (because we're only after the aptitude boxes)
Hey, i was wondering, the salvage and xp output doesn't depend on the GS right ? Also i was looking at the gaming tool website for armoring xp, it says the one that cost the less is silk gloves tier IV(x21 778), what do you think about that comparing to infused leather gloves ? To make 25 level of aptitude I know it's only based on the price of the market of my server but i'm wondering if that's a good indicator of " how long it takes " / effort to get the same result, would like to hear your thoughts on this :D
in terms of materials, they essentially cost the same. the only difference is you flip the T5 leather and T1 cloth, for T5 cloth and T1 leather. the actual cost of T5 cloth is cheaper, but its much harder to farm than leather. if youre buying stuff outright itd probably be a bit cheaper to go for the cloth, but being able to farm the mass amounts of leather is probably cheaper overall. I dont think theres any spot in the game that you can farm fiber from as easily as you can farm each tier of rawhide
Sadly these number have gone way down in the last couple months. Did the math with today's market (valhalla) and everything would've sold for a total of 234k after taxes and such, while selling infused leather would've been 120k after taxes and such. Still a good farm, your making roughly 100k more this way, just crazy how much the market has come down, most notably writhing vines are going for 34 coin as opposed to 5k.

so i did this, i used 3500 infused leather which i gathered it all in approximately 1day casually. i got 7 aptitude levels in armoring with it. the crates got me roughly 150-175k in stuff. not bad but the issue is writhing vines are 500 ea on my server for some reason... only like 15 in demand might buy them all and list higher...
@@britmorrisey6345 used all my sticky vines under 2$ and made the genesis leather gloves. When I don’t have sticky vines I make infused leather gloves. The sticky vines double the XP
Wow, you almost got the same number of aptitude levels as me (I got 9) but I used 10k infused leather. Even if I used sticky vines on every single craft I don't think my leather used to aptitude gained ratio would be what you did. Is there something I'm missing?
either you become happy or sad after doing this. first batch got me several expensive mats but second batch just ate all the mats and give nothing back.
My problem if I did this would be I wouldn’t sell the mats. Instead I would gamble them on rolling bis items for myself which has not been going too great lately so I’d probably end up losing it all haha

I just got to 200 armouring last night being inspired by this video. Is this still as profitable? Also you mentioned somewhere due to the next update this definitely will be, what’s happening in the next update?
It is profitable if you farm the mats, however, I would wait, just store your materials for now, things have slowed but like always next big update it will explode again, I made almost 2 million coin last tiem this happened
So after doing some math and factoring in fort, gear, and refining bonuses, it takes roughly 6300 rawhide and 3500 thick hide to make about 500 infused leather. Let's say you could actually skin that much yourself in an hour (which I highly doubt that amount is possible). If you farmed that and made 500 infused leather per hour, it would take you 38 hours to get the 19k infused leather you said you used in this video, which was over 2 weeks if I understand correctly. So you are telling me you spend at least 19 hours per week skinning?
That's between 2 and 3 hours a day which isn't much if you enjoy skinning while doing other things. I farm 6k rawhide, store it, then farm 6k thick hide in an hour regularly.

Thats why I say it is a gamble, but even with nothing good, you should almost break even on cost of infused, but never ever would I buy the leather to make them, too risky
Break even?? If you dont get any squirming vines, brill animus, or shard of cons iron, you will lose a shit ton of money if youre buying the leathers. So idk where this "close to break even" comes from.
Im a new player close to hitting 60 for the first time and I was wondering, do you think its worth maxing all my trade skills or should I just go all in on one or a few. I’ve been balancing grinding trade skills as I level to craft gear thats closer to my level and I don’t think it will be sustainable 60+, what are your thoughts?
There are people who challenge themselves to never use the trading post or the dropped stuff, they only use the stuff they craft themselves. This game has no real endgame, so if that's something you like you can definitely do it. However, if your objective is to make money I'd recommend you either find yourself a corner of the market to make yours (easiest is farming basic materials and sell them, with the right combination of yield boosts you can gather a ton in a short time) or you find out which refined materials are the most convenient to refine (with the right refining boosts) and eventually farm the raw materials you need when refining which doesn't make financial sense to buy. Ex in this video he refines infused leather by buying the iron hide he needs because he knows he can still make an insane profit.
Tried it today with 2 full apitudes and it was +- 0... Still good, because of the territory standing, but hmmm... Fresh servers just dont have this crazy prices of Consecrated Iron.
Iam over 10 full aptitude levels now, and I think, I make a little bit of money xD But I do it to level my territory standing. Every day 200-500 Gloves, its relaxing :D
how did you manage to get 75 crates? i just blew through 4k infused leather and only got 23. i ended up with 81 scrap, converted it to the notes as well.
if u buy rawhide and all the leathers and tanning u wont make a profit 90% of the time. on fresh server i've tried it with like 80k gold and after i sell all the stuff i wil lbe around 40-45k so its a loss but i didnt get any squirming vines . On standard server i've done it with 60k and there i got 1 sq vines... the price there is like 30 k ( lets hope someone is buying it ) + other stuff.. i can say i break even there if i sell all the stuff. U need to get really lucky with the crates.. else is just bad if you buy the materials .... if u farm them.. oh well... thats another story.
2 Things: 1. Would you still have profit if you bought everything instead of farming? 2. How is this batch crafting done, you put everything in city storage and craft the things with your inventory empty? Wont it still drop the things you crafting in the ground cause of weight?
It is risky buying mats, very risky, you also lose out a ton, when you refine leathers, or anything really, you generate 70% almost out of thin air addition materials, as I show in my refining guide, so do not buy t5 mats ever..

thats one sexy way to make money. I returned to new world for now and wanted to see if i could make some mulah. So you farm the leather, and the fibers for the silk and the ori for the bars yourself? And you buy the tannin and so on to upgrade the mats? Or did i get something wrong.

You are doing it wrong brother. 1) Step is buy Sticky Vines,Spectral dust,Desecrated Flesh,Ancient Talismans and Black Powder burn that sells under 5g. 2) Buy all Scalecloth/Blisterwave that sells under 12g. 3) Make gloves of each expedition kind and then sell the infused silk you salvage. Infused silk sells for more than 20g each. You are guaranteed profit with those numbers even if you get unlucky with vines and shards.
how many days it took you to farm that 19000 INFUSED leather? the video was good but 19000 INFUSED leather for how many days of farm is that? (if you call it session) i am asking cause the strat you show seems perfectly good but 19000 INFUSED leather is somewhat hard to make (or that 19000 got some of the crafting bonus also) i just want to know how long of a grinding time it took you to get that amount

Based my calculations (which could very well be incorrect) you would need closer to 40k leather for that I based it on the 19k you used in your calculation in the end Not trying to be rude or expose in any way, just very curios on the method! did you take into account the fort +10% crafting xp and the perfect salvage scraps, and the returned infused when salvaged ? I also do not buy my leather, which makes a huge difference, and is why I keep pressing to not buy it.. in the process of refining my leather I receive tanning crates as well, wich contain huge amounts of rare scarhide and smolder hide. which I also use when doing this, which I showed at the start ?
Insane, definitely gotta do this asap before devs nerf it into ground. I love the coin, but honestly I'm into this for levelling my region xp. So sad I missed out on the Provision xp hype. RIP.
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming Would there be another craft you'd recommend if focusing for region xp? I was doing potions and arcana, but such small amounts and haven't leveraged the TP. Feels on par with portal farming. I enjoy running around and skinning. It's more active playing, and you do get the random gold when defeating enemies which gives me another boost. I find it hard to level windsward rep, especially since there are no elite enemies there, and the portals are almost always cleared.
Why do you craft a bunch of different types of gloves? I see you do infused, Dryad etc. Do some give better yeilds than others or what's the reasoning behind that?
Yes always, there are a few tricks I didnt mention because I have repeated them in almost every guide I post, so I had hoped people know by now.. Also use perfect salbvage fragments for xp bumps, take the fort for the +10 % xp.. because it does apply to crafting..

I'm a confused new player. I've watched the 1st 45 seconds of this video many times but still don't understand what "These crates" you speak of? What crates? I saw what you got from them, and it looks awesome, but I don't even know how you got them from the video?
Do you have a specific amount you always try to craft each week? (Not including salvage material) because it does seem a little expensive to do at first when you’re pretty broke. Unless you farm every material of course.
I don't farm my tannin, and yes the video briefly upped the price, but a good number of comments here are false, I just checked val halla and tannin is back to normal, as is iron hide
Do you mind sharing where you farm thick hide or have any suggestions? The spots ive tried are all pretty mediocre and places like boarsholm have been nerfed to the ground since i stopped playing last year.
There are a few great places, I posted a video on it, but atm those can get contested, a really great place is the fort at the border from brightwood to greatcleave, the demon dogs there
using the x2 first daily craft is it worthwhile to make Gloves then boots? so as to proc the x2 daily exp boost per craft Or just only make the gloves?
I don't know how you manage to liquidate those mats so quickly. The market bots on my server undercut any reasonable order (selling asmo at 150 probably wouldnt summon the bot army) before more than 10/20 mats are sold.
Just started and would really love a step-by-step guide for idiots on this one. There's a bit of the nitty gritty that was skipped that I didn't quite understand like how you accumulated all the different resources, why gloves are your choice, how you price hunt on the trader for materials, etc. I'm about 30 hours into the game and didn't quite understand that stuff if anyone could answer :) Also is this fesable to do if your not 60 or do these recipies require you to be max/unlock them?

@@5HeadSurvivalGaming Well I did 15k worth of infused leather 5k in one batch 10k in another, all in all i ended up about negative 23k in the hole. Consecrated iron is worth like 200g on my server, and I only got 2 Squirming Vines and one armoring shard. Guess I'm just unlucky lol. Was fun though. Idk if I'll do again. At least not the way I did which was just a combined gather plus TP buy orders. For the final tally I just infused leather cost + iron + linen cost vs the contents of my aptitude boxes.
Were chests nerfed? Man I am so sad with the loot I got... I opened 90 armoring chests (30t1, 30t2, 30t3) and this is my loot: 240 Asmodeum 206 Runic Leather 207 Phoenix Weave 2 Shards of consecrated iron 1 Armoring Pattern 0 Squirming Vines 0 Brilliant Animus :C Man I had never been more disappointed in this game.
So inconclusive :/ opened 25 crates just as a quick test, recorded for content :p, anyhow I got 2 squirming vines, 4 brilliant animus, 7 shard consecrated iron, and of course the various cooldown mats
Sad this is quite the gamble and it did not work out in my favor this first time I tried. Got 5 boxes of each crafting around 1500 infused leather gloves. Only was able to make back $38k and I could've sold the leather itself for $49.5k. I'm going to give this one more shot, but based on that, it's really risky. Not a single squirming vine, writhing vine, animus and no shards of consecration.
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming I think with enough overhead, it might not feel as bad. Might sell the leather to build up the funds and then give the boxes another roll. Need to work on some home storage though because spreading everything out over 5 locations started getting confusing xD

I am armoring aptitude 245 atm, I have been doing this awhile and often get them, and have never really lost any coin, but as I said in the video there is an element of risk involved
I do not buy vines, and buying them is stupid to be honest, its a market to rip people off, just run expeditions, but using those is not needed.. if you want to use them place buy orders cheap.. but where do you get 340k ? infused leather is worth 9 coin per max , and you likely wont sell it at that for days .. you will be undercut

Okay I got you now but as a newbie like I am thiers certain things im unsure of like why are the glove lvl 160 he's crafting. Thinking about it must be becuase of the xp return to hit the level but as a newb I have to think of all these factors to understand better.
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming How do you get 515 with those mats? the armor scraps drop from from 500 GS+ I noticed I got 0 after a rolled a bunch of 490 gloves(I get 480-535 with shadevloth and fae iron should be same as cloth and iron bars), not an armorer so don't have the trophys available.

Wtf, I've been playing since release and never knew these crafting caches were so op. I'm a pvp only player and struggling to get 10k lmao, meanwhile crafters out here making millions. Great balance, no wonder the market is so fucked.

I can ask a similar pointless question: Why should you be rewarded for brainlessly collecting resources (that literal bots can do) or crafting items just to grind an xp system, instead of actually having any skill. I spend thousands of hours on this game I'm passionate about, if different activities with the same amount of time invested give wildly different rewards, that's just bad game balance, it's as simple as that. Controlling territory is not nearly that profitable, you'd have to be part of a dominant company that can own EF and WW on a high pop server, and even then you have to split it between a hundred players and spend on upkeep. (eg. 4mill divided will give you 40k per player. And they will probably spend 5k of it right away on honing stones, oakflesh balms and potions) yadiyadiyada I could go on a long rant, but this is already turning into an essay.

You are rewarded for farming materials by selling the materials which means you're contributing to the economy. Grinding aptitude levels also contributes to the economy because you get rare craft mods that you can then sell. It's very obvious bro. Stop trying to look down upon pve players or something, you're probs not even good at pvp

Holy crap the infused scraps. I had been doing a little Armoring leveling on fresh start toon per your guide. Was sitting at 143 coming into today. Had been hoarding the purple infused armor scraps and was sitting on 200 of them, but you can't use them until lvl 150. I hit just a hair over 150. The 200 scraps took me the rest of the way . Armoring from 150 - 200 free of charge. Don't forget the little freebies peeps!

@@jonar1939 I kill lots of things and take their stuff :) It's not something to go for intentionally as it won't be fast. It was more of a comment about hey don't forget these guys add up so don't throw them out and hang onto them until your craft level is high enough to let you use them for free craft xp. Like with most things level related, dungeons are good for more than just exp/gs bumps. Happy hunting!

This is a neat video, and I enjoy 5head’s content. This is a very creative way to make coin. However, a word of caution to new/returning players. This is a creative way to make coin, not a consistent way to make coin. There is a huge gamble if you purchase mats, and an inefficient coin per hour rate if you farm everything. There is a large amount of time invested for the grand total of 841,413 coin from 75 aptitude crates. Your results will vary.
To put things in perspective, 75 aptitude crates is crafting 21750 infused leather gloves, or a total of 87,000 infused leather. At the beginning of the video, he states he gathers to craft 10-12k infused leather to do this weekly, which would result in 24-30 armoring aptitude crates per week respectively. So a little over 3 weeks of gathering for this total. Breaking down the coin per hour you would be better off just selling materials if all you’re after is making coin. We all have precious little time to play this game we love. So take this video as an example of how to be creative when making coin. Think outside the box, and then sit down to do the math, and decide if it’s something you’re going to enjoy doing.

Brilliant video as always 5 :) i looked into the numbers and it takes roughly 750k rawhide to make about 12k infused leather without the crafting bonuses. How do you gather so much so quickly? Even a week seems a quick turn around! I say it all the time but love your videos, the only real consistent new world content creator out there at the moment, thank you for that!

also, in a video recently posted about farming rawhide, I just(like 30 minutes ago) gathered almost 8k rawhide in 20 minutes at that spot. When refining with 4 of 5 tanner set, I ended up with 30% more coarse leather from just that 8k gather.

funny thing is i did the math for buying all the mats on Orofena and its around 360k to 370k to craft 4750 gloves (19k infused leather/linen + 4750 iron ingots) and the mats from the crates sell for around the same if not a little less/more on Orfena so you'd still make crazy profit for little to no work. that number of gloves sounds about right to you correct?

I farmed exactly 10 000 infused leather and bought iron and fibers, so on ~70 boxes I've got from aptitude that left me approx. 20k minus of the price I could get if I just sold the infused lether straight off.
I'm glad it's working for you, but on my server it's nowhere near 3x profit you are talking about in the video.
Great video and really interesting, but I wonder if I am confused - I ran a test run with 6k Infused Leather (and all the salvaged leather from that, and using all the armour scraps for xp), ie about a third of the 18k you used - and got I believe about 9 of each aptitude chest. In your video you got about 25 of each chest (which makes sense, ie about 3x more than me) but you also mention another session you did later that yielded 21 of each chest.
From what I can see that 21 chests couldn't have been produced from your 18k infused leather (unless I've made a mistake somehow), but from another source of leather (I'm guessing you'd need another 15 or 16k leather approx?) - is that correct to say?
It's really important to those of us with no time to farm who are looking at this purely as a fun gamble for "fill our Buy Orders over time and see if we can profit", particularly those of us on servers where Writhing vines are worthless and consecrated iron probably goes for 50% of your server - as on the face of it it feels like you must have been rolling with over 32-4k+ leather so margins will be slimmer if that's the case.
If you take into account the perfect salvage system with 100 focus (can't remember if that video came out before or after this) then the 25 of each is plausible. Using the 18k infused leather and the salvage system, averaging about 2 back, then the amount stated of about 33k is more closely the actual amount he rolled. (18k+9k+4k+2k...etc). Even with 1 back (18k, 4.5k, 1.15k, etc) it would still yield yield closer to the number of boxes he got. Although the amount back isn't garunteed this might explain the difference. This also doesn't include and scarhide/smolder hide he recieved doing open world things and the armor scraps

just farmed for a week and got to 10.000 Infused Leather. Crafted them into Infused Leather Gloves which got me 15 of each aptitude chest, so 45 total..
only got 3 Shard of Conescrated Iron, 2 Brilliant Animus and NO Squirming Vines.
so i actually lost money compared to if i had just sold the Leather. really weird, dunno if i was just extremely unlucky or not

I was bored and decided to use some gold and resources to try this and my result was bad, after 14 levels and 42 boxes didnt get any of the good craft mods, only with asmo, runic leather, etc... you dont get enough to even get back your money, so people you should try this only if you can afford to loose lots of gold.
It was a fun experience for me btw, will do that again once i recover the gold.

do not buy everything.. thats the biggest issue, as I said in the video it is a gamble, you can come out with 800k or you can come out with 70k.. it is worth it if you farm the majority of your mats.. Def not worth buying now with iron hide at high value

nah weaponsmithing wouldn't be worth it, Arcana is worth it, as is furniture, but thats about it, the other crates require too costly of mats and rewards are meh

Hey! Wanted to ask you something. I have done a lot of arcana aptitude and now armoring too. Ive noticed that there is a pattern of some sort, or so i believe. And i could somewhat see the pattern in this aptitude opening video too. Like when i started doing arcana i got 5 starmetal weaponsmith charms in a row, then 40 crates and nothing. Surely not random. Also whenever i get squirming vines, there is more to come from next crates, up to 5 or 6 in total. Same with freedom mods. I can swear there is hidden script in the aptitude openings. Would love if you could try and figure it out. I mean if you do get 5 squirming vines from 5 armoring crates all in a row, i guarantee you go 40 dry. And you can calculate the odds of 5 in a row. Its 1/1million probably, 100% not RNG based. Thanks for your time :)

I know it's only based on the price of the market of my server but i'm wondering if that's a good indicator of " how long it takes " / effort to get the same result, would like to hear your thoughts on this :D
in terms of materials, they essentially cost the same. the only difference is you flip the T5 leather and T1 cloth, for T5 cloth and T1 leather. the actual cost of T5 cloth is cheaper, but its much harder to farm than leather. if youre buying stuff outright itd probably be a bit cheaper to go for the cloth, but being able to farm the mass amounts of leather is probably cheaper overall. I dont think theres any spot in the game that you can farm fiber from as easily as you can farm each tier of rawhide
Sadly these number have gone way down in the last couple months. Did the math with today's market (valhalla) and everything would've sold for a total of 234k after taxes and such, while selling infused leather would've been 120k after taxes and such. Still a good farm, your making roughly 100k more this way, just crazy how much the market has come down, most notably writhing vines are going for 34 coin as opposed to 5k.

so i did this, i used 3500 infused leather which i gathered it all in approximately 1day casually. i got 7 aptitude levels in armoring with it. the crates got me roughly 150-175k in stuff. not bad but the issue is writhing vines are 500 ea on my server for some reason... only like 15 in demand might buy them all and list higher...

Wow, you almost got the same number of aptitude levels as me (I got 9) but I used 10k infused leather. Even if I used sticky vines on every single craft I don't think my leather used to aptitude gained ratio would be what you did. Is there something I'm missing?

I just got to 200 armouring last night being inspired by this video. Is this still as profitable? Also you mentioned somewhere due to the next update this definitely will be, what’s happening in the next update?
It is profitable if you farm the mats, however, I would wait, just store your materials for now, things have slowed but like always next big update it will explode again, I made almost 2 million coin last tiem this happened
All I can say is .....HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!
So after doing some math and factoring in fort, gear, and refining bonuses, it takes roughly 6300 rawhide and 3500 thick hide to make about 500 infused leather. Let's say you could actually skin that much yourself in an hour (which I highly doubt that amount is possible). If you farmed that and made 500 infused leather per hour, it would take you 38 hours to get the 19k infused leather you said you used in this video, which was over 2 weeks if I understand correctly. So you are telling me you spend at least 19 hours per week skinning?
That's between 2 and 3 hours a day which isn't much if you enjoy skinning while doing other things. I farm 6k rawhide, store it, then farm 6k thick hide in an hour regularly.

you must have been super lucky, just tested this with 5k infused leather and crafting the same gloves but didn't get anything good out of it

Im a new player close to hitting 60 for the first time and I was wondering, do you think its worth maxing all my trade skills or should I just go all in on one or a few. I’ve been balancing grinding trade skills as I level to craft gear thats closer to my level and I don’t think it will be sustainable 60+, what are your thoughts?
There are people who challenge themselves to never use the trading post or the dropped stuff, they only use the stuff they craft themselves. This game has no real endgame, so if that's something you like you can definitely do it. However, if your objective is to make money I'd recommend you either find yourself a corner of the market to make yours (easiest is farming basic materials and sell them, with the right combination of yield boosts you can gather a ton in a short time) or you find out which refined materials are the most convenient to refine (with the right refining boosts) and eventually farm the raw materials you need when refining which doesn't make financial sense to buy. Ex in this video he refines infused leather by buying the iron hide he needs because he knows he can still make an insane profit.

Fresh servers just dont have this crazy prices of Consecrated Iron.

how did you manage to get 75 crates? i just blew through 4k infused leather and only got 23. i ended up with 81 scrap, converted it to the notes as well.
if u buy rawhide and all the leathers and tanning u wont make a profit 90% of the time. on fresh server i've tried it with like 80k gold and after i sell all the stuff i wil lbe around 40-45k so its a loss but i didnt get any squirming vines . On standard server i've done it with 60k and there i got 1 sq vines... the price there is like 30 k ( lets hope someone is buying it ) + other stuff.. i can say i break even there if i sell all the stuff. U need to get really lucky with the crates.. else is just bad if you buy the materials .... if u farm them.. oh well... thats another story.

2. How is this batch crafting done, you put everything in city storage and craft the things with your inventory empty? Wont it still drop the things you crafting in the ground cause of weight?
It is risky buying mats, very risky, you also lose out a ton, when you refine leathers, or anything really, you generate 70% almost out of thin air addition materials, as I show in my refining guide, so do not buy t5 mats ever..

You are doing it wrong brother. 1) Step is buy Sticky Vines,Spectral dust,Desecrated Flesh,Ancient Talismans and Black Powder burn that sells under 5g. 2) Buy all Scalecloth/Blisterwave that sells under 12g. 3) Make gloves of each expedition kind and then sell the infused silk you salvage. Infused silk sells for more than 20g each. You are guaranteed profit with those numbers even if you get unlucky with vines and shards.

I also do not buy my leather, which makes a huge difference, and is why I keep pressing to not buy it.. in the process of refining my leather I receive tanning crates as well, wich contain huge amounts of rare scarhide and smolder hide. which I also use when doing this, which I showed at the start ?

I enjoy running around and skinning. It's more active playing, and you do get the random gold when defeating enemies which gives me another boost.
I find it hard to level windsward rep, especially since there are no elite enemies there, and the portals are almost always cleared.

yes, the replica gloves give more xp, but I dont buy tons of replica mats like vines, i just use what I have gathered as well

Yes always, there are a few tricks I didnt mention because I have repeated them in almost every guide I post, so I had hoped people know by now.. Also use perfect salbvage fragments for xp bumps, take the fort for the +10 % xp.. because it does apply to crafting..

Do you have a specific amount you always try to craft each week? (Not including salvage material) because it does seem a little expensive to do at first when you’re pretty broke. Unless you farm every material of course.
I don't farm my tannin, and yes the video briefly upped the price, but a good number of comments here are false, I just checked val halla and tannin is back to normal, as is iron hide

Do you mind sharing where you farm thick hide or have any suggestions? The spots ive tried are all pretty mediocre and places like boarsholm have been nerfed to the ground since i stopped playing last year.
There are a few great places, I posted a video on it, but atm those can get contested, a really great place is the fort at the border from brightwood to greatcleave, the demon dogs there

using the x2 first daily craft is it worthwhile to make Gloves then boots? so as to proc the x2 daily exp boost per craft Or just only make the gloves?
To be honest I have never bothered with this much, may need to test, I just make gloves
I don't know how you manage to liquidate those mats so quickly. The market bots on my server undercut any reasonable order (selling asmo at 150 probably wouldnt summon the bot army) before more than 10/20 mats are sold.
I usually fill buy orders, i will lose probably 2-3 coin per bar, but worth it for me to just unload it, or ill sell in trade chat bulk

Do you have to be 60 and 200+ aptitude to be able to get those crates, or the items you got from the crates?
The only way to get the crates is by being 200 + armoring, but character level has no impact
As a new player I was wondering what to do with my huge stacks of leather from killing cougers lol
is there a reason why you used scarhide instead of infused leather for the first batch of crafting at the start?
while processing the hides I got a ton of aptitude crates for tanning, so thats free mats, the scarhide and smolder hide work in place of infused :)
In my fresh server I can get 4x much more gold for selling rawhide than from craft infused leather
Just started and would really love a step-by-step guide for idiots on this one. There's a bit of the nitty gritty that was skipped that I didn't quite understand like how you accumulated all the different resources, why gloves are your choice, how you price hunt on the trader for materials, etc. I'm about 30 hours into the game and didn't quite understand that stuff if anyone could answer :)
Also is this fesable to do if your not 60 or do these recipies require you to be max/unlock them?

@@5HeadSurvivalGaming Well I did 15k worth of infused leather 5k in one batch 10k in another, all in all i ended up about negative 23k in the hole. Consecrated iron is worth like 200g on my server, and I only got 2 Squirming Vines and one armoring shard. Guess I'm just unlucky lol. Was fun though. Idk if I'll do again. At least not the way I did which was just a combined gather plus TP buy orders. For the final tally I just infused leather cost + iron + linen cost vs the contents of my aptitude boxes.

So inconclusive :/ opened 25 crates just as a quick test, recorded for content :p, anyhow I got 2 squirming vines, 4 brilliant animus, 7 shard consecrated iron, and of course the various cooldown mats

Sad this is quite the gamble and it did not work out in my favor this first time I tried. Got 5 boxes of each crafting around 1500 infused leather gloves. Only was able to make back $38k and I could've sold the leather itself for $49.5k. I'm going to give this one more shot, but based on that, it's really risky. Not a single squirming vine, writhing vine, animus and no shards of consecration.
This is why i stress it is a gamble, a good one if the mats are farmed, but a bad one if bought :/ sorry you didnt roll well
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming I think with enough overhead, it might not feel as bad. Might sell the leather to build up the funds and then give the boxes another roll. Need to work on some home storage though because spreading everything out over 5 locations started getting confusing xD

I am armoring aptitude 245 atm, I have been doing this awhile and often get them, and have never really lost any coin, but as I said in the video there is an element of risk involved

The material's used at market prices is more like 340,900 gold to craft that 20k infused leather off 100k in vines alone. Could you elaborate?
I do not buy vines, and buying them is stupid to be honest, its a market to rip people off, just run expeditions, but using those is not needed.. if you want to use them place buy orders cheap.. but where do you get 340k ? infused leather is worth 9 coin per max , and you likely wont sell it at that for days .. you will be undercut
I got form the linen and the ingots and the sticky vines also required to make the gloves
@@darrelllopes5013 hmm are you thinking I made replica's the whole time ? I didnt look closer, I did one batch with sticky vines to use up spare mats i had, rare hides and vines for a bump, but the rest I made jsut regular infused
Okay I got you now but as a newbie like I am thiers certain things im unsure of like why are the glove lvl 160 he's crafting. Thinking about it must be becuase of the xp return to hit the level but as a newb I have to think of all these factors to understand better.
Do I need 3x Trophy + Full Armoring set to make this worthwhile? Or does the GS of the items you craft not matter much for this strategy?
no, the gs of the item crafted doesn't impact the xp generated :)
@@5HeadSurvivalGaming How do you get 515 with those mats? the armor scraps drop from from 500 GS+ I noticed I got 0 after a rolled a bunch of 490 gloves(I get 480-535 with shadevloth and fae iron should be same as cloth and iron bars), not an armorer so don't have the trophys available.
Hello, I have a question, is there an alternative to the Dryad Stalker Gloves because on my server 1 Sticky vine goes for about 50g. So is there another item to craft to get good xp? Thanks.
Just the normal infused leather gloves or any of the gloves from the lvl 60 dungeons (Lazarus, Genesis, Barnacles and Black Powder, Tempest, Ennead)

Wtf, I've been playing since release and never knew these crafting caches were so op. I'm a pvp only player and struggling to get 10k lmao, meanwhile crafters out here making millions. Great balance, no wonder the market is so fucked.

I can ask a similar pointless question: Why should you be rewarded for brainlessly collecting resources (that literal bots can do) or crafting items just to grind an xp system, instead of actually having any skill. I spend thousands of hours on this game I'm passionate about, if different activities with the same amount of time invested give wildly different rewards, that's just bad game balance, it's as simple as that.
Controlling territory is not nearly that profitable, you'd have to be part of a dominant company that can own EF and WW on a high pop server, and even then you have to split it between a hundred players and spend on upkeep. (eg. 4mill divided will give you 40k per player. And they will probably spend 5k of it right away on honing stones, oakflesh balms and potions) yadiyadiyada I could go on a long rant, but this is already turning into an essay.
@Fluffy Meatball pvp does not affect the economy at all. It is literally just fighting another player. Why should that give you money lmao? You are rewarded for farming materials by selling the materials which means you're contributing to the economy. Grinding aptitude levels also contributes to the economy because you get rare craft mods that you can then sell. It's very obvious bro. Stop trying to look down upon pve players or something, you're probs not even good at pvp
