    Can't believe they started to produce these 2 liters turbocharged. Over 10 years ago this was considered shame for the muscle cars freaks.

      It was mainly done to have a competitor to the ecoboost mustang. I don't know în the states but in Europe it sold well. It has to do with taxes, here in many countries you are taxed on engine size. The tax between a 2l and a 6l can be as high as half the car price. Also insurance in some countries is based on that as well.

      You do know that the first camaro had a similar 4 cylinder engine, right? *shrugs*

    Not bad with the added 300lbs of convertible reinforcement weight and wet road (considering it's just a 2.0). BTW that best 44.1mpg 50 miles matches our Buick TourX (same basic engine only detuned a bit) ... we average about 26.5mpg without trying in our regular mixed driving loop.

      TEST DRIVE FREAK ne ich meine dass die oft viele Kilometer gefahren haben und auch recht verkratzt sind usw. also sich im schlechten Zustand befinden

      @@danI43541 naja so schlecht sind die nicht, bei deutsche oder europäische mietwagen ist das genauso, aber interessant das bei uns in Deutschland meist bis 30.000 km ausgeflottet wird, in USA wird noch länger gefahren bis es ausgeflottet wird

    • @cujbaion1
      @cujbaion1 5 років тому

      @@TESTDRIVEFREAK how ever they need other body, Camaro was a simbol of brute force, until this come,it was a V6 for entry level,they need more models of body not things like Dodge Challenger with low consumption,I think cilinder deactivation it's only way to make a sport car to have 8l/100km and that is enough for a real sport car,you can have small but that V8 engine with that specific rumble even if you have 3.8 liter with cilinders smaller than half liter like in under two liter engine 1.9 on vw TDI if you double that and make it on gas it will be great, it's a cheap marketing, they don't wanna spend money on research to make new engine and new bodies for small engines, they aren't creative enough, this is why Detroit and all American car industry is substituted by japonese brands which are small and medium engined reliable cars,American car industry is obsessed about so called size and only trucks are americans on their roads or something with big engine, when they will learn this lesson they will sell cars all around the world, diversity it's the key,Germans do sow and telephone producers also,you make the lider and after that step's downward for everyone's poket, and GM don't do most reliable cars because they own Opel and that old gas cars doesn't keep too much and is having a bad ugly plastic interior,worst car produced in Germany because is owned by GM, german's feel shame for this car,a car for insensitive people,no design no material's no taste at all, worst than that are only russian's with their's communist ideology what ruined every tendency to entry in middle class

      @@huntersmiley5865 I understand your point in terms of performance, it's just other caracter, muscle cars are all about big displacement, they are a symbol of American car industry, at least here in Europe, in my opinion a body must have one or two engines and not six like German cars

    owners are reporting electrical issues transmission issues strange noises and water pump leaks and motors blowing up in these cars specifically 2018 but all mostly. fords mustangs are even worse! the government bought out ford n gm and out sourced all the parts to chaina and the cars all junk 50 percent by volume real data plastic! to bad! if you want a muscle car rebuild an old one!
