    Incredible big picture coaching demonstrated by explaining the rewiring that would be necessary based off the other habit often learned first. A coach as good as Mitchie shows that it's okay if you learn something another way, just realize that there are plateaus and obstacles that'll come up based on habits. Flawless as always!

Tried the kick turn nose grab thing on and off for a couple of years and it just never felt right to actually take off and keep the board under me and then resorted back to early rail grab hops which are a road to nowhere and as you say a total speed killer.

Will give it a go with a minimal pop and see what happens, I probably weigh more than I should too so if feels like trying make an elephant fly 🤣 but I’ll try and work with the flow and see what happens.

    Great tutorial man! Are you staring at the ramp right before you pop? I've struggled for years keeping that front shoulder in the ramp (im mainly on mini ramps 3 to 6'). Doing that nose grab has helped me keep that shoulder in the ramp immenensly. Problem i have now is i can do them nice below coping but as soon as get near it I ifreak out. Not sure its better to start low at a rainbow or low at more of direct staight up/down 180

    I dont have any vert half pipes around me, just some bowls with a few inches of vert. How different are the two? I can pop ollies out of regular wuarter pipes a few feet high but with vert in stuck just doing early grabs. I want to learn true air outs

    • @SKATEiQ
      @SKATEiQ  8 місяців тому +2

      I would have trouble knowing whats going on without seeing. vert is a lot softer and everything takes longer to do so it could be a number of issues, most likely the timing of your pump is a little off and lacking a bit of patience through the lip on vert. seems to be a very common combo

    Just started practicing this way and this just made things click. However, I did notice that when trying to transition from a late nose-grab grip to a melon like you do in this demo that its deceptively more difficult than just a bs ollie. not asking for a video, just wondering if you also have some insight as to how I should go about learning melons and other grabs.

    • @SKATEiQ

      Just remember that the hard part is maintaining balancing as you pick your board up more and more. Focus on how youre falling out of balance and try to make little adjustments as you get your board higher and higher
