It's pronounced (eyes lee) brothers. They are legendary. They have been making hits since the late 50's. Ronald Isley does have one of the most distinctive and beautiful voices in music history. They have a lot of music. Check out their discography. They are still active today. Check out their 1st record Twist and Shout. The Beatles covered it.
You nailed it Pam, the long version with the lead guitarist jamming along with percussion instruments is an Isley Brothers song that must be listened to.
One of the best guitar solos ever. Fits the song so well, really tasteful effects, honestly surprised the hell out of me to find out it was the Isleys. Their variety is stellar.
This group is a bad to the bone fantastic group in singing, playing their instruments and dressing. I love this group and you will also. They harmonize with their instruments.
This song was always special to me. Everytime I heard the song it made me think of my wife and still does. Such a beautiful piece of music. Great reaction. Nice seeing someone hearing a special song like this for the first time.
Anything you choose to listen to from the Isley Brothers is bound to be good. And you're right; the era of the 70's had some really wonderful, romantic music that they just don't write like that anymore. Thanks for your great reaction.
They are like the Bee Gees sooo many great songs spanning sooo many years...my favorites Your Bedside Me and Footsteps in the dark..and Ron Isley is the voice...amazing still....
To hear the Isley Brothers (that's "EYES-LEE Brothers") harmonize, check out: "Summer Breeze", "Voyage To Atlantis", "Lay Lady Lay", "Make Me Say It Again, Girl." By the way, the lead singer is Ron Isley (aka "Mr. Biggs" of R Kelly fame), who leads on all but "Caravan of Love" by Isley-Jasper-Isley and two songs Rudy Isley released in duet with Judy White.
This came out in the 70"'s. Their first hit was "Shout" in 1959. It won a Grammy Award. It will get you moving for real. You must, must listen to it, if not your depriving yourself.
The Isley brothers were one of my many favorites growing up..they don't sing them like this anymore..love my classic R&B music..the best music ever..they were so many talented singers back in the day..that was real singing..real talent..not like today..they have so many hits...listen & react to other R&B music like:..Earth,Wind & fire....The Manhattans..The Whispers..Al Green..Teddy Pendergrass..The Temptations..etc .there's a lot of great music..open your mind to other music..R&B..Country..Pop..Rock..Mexican..etc..so much good music out there☺💜🎶🎤
Oh man the isley brothers now your talking these are such a great band & what a voice Mr Ronald Isley has got so smooth & don't get anyone with a voice like this nowadays that's for sure.
Yo Jay, got a couple for you. You will thank me later. 1) Bobby Womack - "If you think you're lonely now" 2) Jimmy Ruffin - "What becomes of the broken hearted" 3) Luther Vandross - "Never too much"
Ronald Isley and the Isley Brothers are one of the few R&B groups from back in the day who are still singing and performing. One of my favorite Isley's is Harvest for the World and Summer Breeze.
It's pronounced EYE SLEY. The lead singer is Ronald Isley aka Mr. Big. They were quite the group in the 60's & 70's. I actually lived through those days. I'm 70 years old. My music history is quite extensive. R&B, rock & roll, rock etc. If you need help please let me know. I'll be glad to help or make suggestions. Take care...Gene
You young cats discovering the music of my youth is awesome. Btw, it’s the Isley (pronounced eyes-lee) Brothers. Not only did they have the amazing lead singer (names escape me) but they had a killer guitar player as well.
My man, you got a sub. The Isley Brothers are my favorite group of all time. They are incredibly creative, they were ahead of their time in many instances, and their songs don't sound the same. You have to listen to their discography from the 50's to now to fully appreciate their greatness. Even people who are fans of some of their more well known stuff don't realize how far back they go. Start with "shout," "its your thing," "testify" "fight the power" "caravan of love" (wasn't really isley brothers because Ronald left, but still an amazing song) and the hugely popular outside the mainstream but underrated by critics "choosey lover." They had a lot of GREAT songs in between as I'm sure people here will recommend. There really is no such thing as a bad isley brothers song.
That Lady is my fave Isley song & it's hard to pick just one...gotta hear the masterpiece that is That Lady..Ernie Isley is one of the best guitarists ever & warning, they do smooth like nobody but they also do mad bangers with unbelievable guitar solos..prepare to be blown away. P.S. Whitney Houston recorded a good version of For The Love Of You
The Isleys are so talented, and they have an extensive catalogue. Check out, "The Pride" and "Harvest for the World." Another group, Enchantment -- the song "Gloria." Also smooth vocals.
I really like the way your face lights up when you get that happy feeling over a new song. Your eyes sparkle, too. Folks on other UA-cam videos can only TRY to be as good as you. No one can show love for the music like you do, with educated comments on top of all that personality! Seems all your followers are good, too. Thanks for the entertainment. P.S. So many Isley Brothers tunes, you need a whole week for them.
Anything by The Isley Brothers..... also check out Rick James and Teena Marie “”Fire and Desire “” do the audio first with Rick on the cover in red boots.. you’ll be AMAZED!
Everybody is right Jayvee, It's pronounced Eyes-lee Brothers and this is one of my favorites from the 70's. Lots of babies were made to this song. Thxs for reacting to it. Who's That Lady and Summer Breeze are 2 other good ones. Stay safe.
Ron isley.... wow Ron just had it didn't he and ernie with the breathtaking guitar solos. I love the isley brothers.💔💔💔💔❤❤❤

"Summer Breeze" is my favourite song by The Isley Brothers.

That flute...1975...best decade for slow jams!
So many great songs
For many people the Isley Brothers are the greatest group of all time. For me they are second only to Earth,Wind and Fire!.

Now you know why some of us are stuck in 1970's Motown music !
this ISN'T mowtown.
They weren't on the motown label during the 70s
@@Clnt874 I meant the Sound not the Label.
The Ojays, "For the Love of Money" What a fantastic song, and still very relevant.
Also "Don't Call Me Brother"!
The Isley Brothers are legendary since the early 60s
Harvest for the world too 👍🙏💙
Classic soul at its finest 💯
Anything you choose to listen to from the Isley Brothers is bound to be good. And you're right; the era of the 70's had some really wonderful, romantic music that they just don't write like that anymore. Thanks for your great reaction.

It's Your Thing 1969! A huge hit.
Isley Bros. don't have a bad song.....thanks for reacting to this
Great song
Fight the power!

Eyes-lee Brothers. Good song but I think 'It's Your Thing' would have been better start. That was a huge hit and won a Grammy in 1970.
Maybe even better and back further, This Old Heart of Mine. Do both!
This is better than its your thing
Hell yes! Jayvee, I love that you just go for it on pronunciation! How else would you fingered it out, jump in!❤️ Lincoln Heights, Cincinnati Group❤️
Isley brothers
I agree about It's Your Thing, I was in AZ and moved to OK and that was the jam in Phoenix AZ.
This came out in the 70"'s. Their first hit was "Shout" in 1959. It won a Grammy Award. It will get you moving for real. You must, must listen to it, if not your depriving yourself.
Oh heck yeah!!! My cousin had a cook out. The band played "Shout" even the old folks were up shaking a tail feather!! It was fun 😆

Good sad song.
But I like the hopeful I Want To Get Next To You a just little bit better.

Listen to their earlier music. Listen to their live version of Shout back in 1958 or 59. It's electrifying and Ronald had so many moves
My brother I made loved to the Isley brothers back in the seventies

Wow! flashback. It's pronounced "EYES -ley" brothers.
Please react to the Isley Brothers version of "Summer Breeze".
