The Isley brothers use to rock house back in the day still do! Their silky sound was for sure the best! So ready to do some slow drag dancing! Living for the love of their music!
You see this? This is soul music us Baby boomers were lucky to have experienced as teens or 20s. Our generation is the best! We were age perfect to experience this, dancing, making love, clubbing etc etc. Generation X and the Millennials missed out on this
Crazy thing is... anyone born after you can enjoy it in their teens or twenties or infancy or in the womb or ANY TIME we like.... you know... since it's readily available anywhere 😉
@1369Stiles that's a matter of opinion but I am say there was a time where the majority of music was good vs now when the majority isn't that great. A time when you had to be able to actually sing to a time where you don't. A time when you had to play an instrument or have a band vs...?
Yall gotta understand! When this song was produced these same Isley Brothers had been in the music industry for like forty years already. Their discography is so so deep. "Fight the power" will expose more of the voices in the group.
The Isley Brothers are a rare group that can span nearly 7 decades, have many many hits and great songs throughout, This is just the beginning of there incredible catalog. Check out “Voyage to Atlantis”, “Make Me Say It Again Girl parts 1 and 2”, “ Let Me Down Easy” and “At Your Best You Are Love”. All classic heat 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I second at your "At Your Best You are Love" and would add "Summer Breeze" as I want them to hear the Isley Brothers version in comparision to Seals and Croft.
@@mrantdagreat And I'm not saying that Seals and Croft is terrible. I'm interested in how different interpretations from the same thing can create good stuff.
Hey guys, So … the Isley’s are like family in my house and this album is a Masterpiece! I hope you’ve listened to the entire album. Lots of babies are here because of this album! 😯 It doesn’t get better than this! 💯 ☺️
You’re absolutely right; they are responsible for a lot of babies including all three of mine. Without the Isley Brothers, I would likely have been a 40. year old virgin. They’re my Kryptonite.
One of my all-time favorite songs. My dad played this a lot when I was growing up and I've loved it since I was a little kid (this came out in 1975). Ronald Isley's voice is the definition of smooth. The vocals, the lyrics, the music, this song is just great on all levels. You mentioned doing more Isley Brothers songs, there are a LOT of them that are great.
The Isleys are probably the only act to have a hit single in each decade from the 1950s to the 2000s. Check out "Midnight Sky", "Fight The Power", & "Harvest For The World", "Shout (Part 1 & 2)", & "Work To Do". Also try "Caravan Of Love" by the offshoot band Isley Jasper Isley.
This is their 2nd single from their 1975 album "The Heat is On". This album had 2 singles in the top 40 at one time. This band consisted of 4 Brothers until Vernon died. Beautiful vocals and amazing instruments combine for such a mesmerizing trip down memory lane. Twist snd Shout This Old Heart of Mine It's Your Thing Wonderful easy listening. Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️ ❤️ 🇨🇦🇨🇦
The run of hits they had in the 70s is epic! So many tracks y'all need to hit! "Footsteps In The Dark", "That Lady", "Groove With You", "Voyage To Atlantis", "You Walk Your Way" - all of these are just incredible!
This & Harvest For The World are my two favorite Isley Brothers songs. This was my wedding song. You two will love Harvest For The World. Ron Isley's voice is sublime
Fun fact- Ernie Isley(Lead Guitarist ) has a daughter who is one of the best up and coming artist with several albums and EPs in the last decade , she is so dope, her name is Alex Isley, she has such a beautiful voice and is an excellent songwriter and producer also, and of course she is Ron Isley’s niece …
I was a teen in the 80's BUT my Aunties were teens in the 70's & I spent a lot of time with them listening to 70's music. I absolutely love 70's music & this is one of my favorite songs! The Isley Brothers have been singing for decades & they are R&B Royalty. I think you will enjoy "Harvest for the World" It's relevant to what's going on today but literally any of their songs are good. Ron Isley is the one sitting with the orange outfit.
Ron Isley had one of the best voices in music history! So much good music! Music with love and hope!❤ Harvest for the world is another great one! And who’s that Lady!!! Can’t go wrong!
Love the Isley Brothers, I had every album by them. Great Albums. My mother loved this song ever since she heard it in my room while I was playing the album. She passed on 12/22/2006 of bone cancer right before Christmas and after my father and her just celebrated there 50th anniversary in July of 2006. My father was devastated. He is 93 years old and happily remarried. Amen!
This is Classic Soul music I grew up listening to. You should also review their song “Voyage To Atlantis” and their remake of Crosby Still and Nash’s “Summer Breeze”.
Oh baby! Slapped me right back to senior year, 18 years old, first love…slow dancing, barely moving..❤❤❤. They have been around since the 50’s still going strong!! EDIT: FYI , the originated SHOUT in 1959!
the Isely brothers have been with me all my life I'm in my 50s. This particular Group at the time of this song was the 3+3 meaning 3 of the original line up the older Isely Bros plus the 2 younger bros and brother-in-law Chris jasper. The younger Group members produced and crafted the music that dominated the Mid 70s thru the 80s and They all sang with Ron as the main Front man. we even got to see the younger ones form a new Group with Chris jasper as the Front man and they had a string of hits with Caravan of love and Insatiable woman. The older bros still did there thing too as they continued to record various records, we even heard the oldest brother Okelly Isely before he passed lead a song where you couldn't tell him from Ronald!!! that's how talented this group is. Till this day they can still serve some heat lol and they do as they evolved with the times. So thankful for their music has inspired me.
Classic slow jam by the Isley Brothers. You have to react to Isley Jasper Isley "Caravan Of Love" Ernie Isley (guitarist) Chris Jasper (keyboards) Marvin Isley (bass) took a very short hiatus from the group a did their own project. Fun fact: "Shout" and "Twist and Shout" are two heavily covered songs originally recorded by the Isley Brothers when they were just a trio!
Jay & Amber, you'll love their "It's Your Thing", "Fight the Power" and "This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You)"!! You're just 3 songs into the Isley's, more great music to follow!
Amber I've heard you say Sensuality twice in this video. Which happens to be the name of my favorite song by The Isley Brothers. Great one to react to.
The Isley Brothers are so versatile. They play some of the best rock, funk and soul music. Check out their song Liquid Love off their Winner Takes All album. This song is so funky with killer guitar playing by the highly underrated Ernie Isley. Also check out Climbing Up The Ladder from the Go For Your Guns album. You can't go wrong with The Isley Brothers whether it's love songs, funk songs or rock songs.
I love this group. Their remake of "Summer Breeze," the original "That Lady" from the 60s and their remake of their own song "Who's That Lady" in 73, "Here We Go Again," "Footsteps in the Dark," "Voyage to Atlantis," even a very late hit "Colder Are My Nights." I could go on and on and on 😄...
The Isley brothers are amazing and have been around since before Motown! Would be great if you reacted to 'Shout' and some of their ealier songs so you can see how much they influenced other singers and musicians ! Also 'Harvest for the World' is a classic of theirs and 'Summer Breeze'. Thank you for your great reaction to this dreamy love song!
I could and do listen to them all day. My favorite group of all time, close second: The Dells and then Earth, Wind & Fire. Favorite songs: Don’t Hold Back Your Love, Sensuality, Make Me Say It Again Girl, It’s Too Late, Hello It’s Me. All of them😂😂
I have such an emotional connection to this song. It feels like the warm blanket of my childhood, good and bad. It's the #1song on the soundtrack of my life. My earliest memories. I can smell the patchouli when I hear it.

Guys, there is a deep rabbit hole of great music from the Isleys! The original three brothers had a very different sound in the 50's and 60's. The best known is probably "Shout!" because the Beatles covered it, but my favorite is a romantic upbeat song, This "Old Heart of Mine". Their 70's music is even more legendary!! great covers of their own, plus sweet ballads like this. Try "Voyage to Atlantis" "Footsteps (in the Dark)"!
"This Old Heart of Mine" would be an excellent choice for 60s era Isley Brothers. Rod Stewart also does an incredible version of it as a duet with Ronald Isley.
The Isley Brothers are an amazing group with so many amazing songs. I think the one you would totally dig on is "That Lady"! Jay, I have 3 words for you....GUITAR GUITAR GUITAR!! Amber, you will absolutely love the grooviness of it!!

If I had a dime for every time we played Isley Brothers at parties I would be rich. Right there with Tower of Power and Average White Band! Fight the Power (Parts 1&2) along with Who's That Lady are gems. We had such outstanding music in that era! We were super lucky to be listening to this as teens. ;-)
Thats baby making music right there. Loved the Isley Brothers growing up. I was so lucky to have had multi-cultural friends that showed me what REAL music was. Gregory Abbott, Barry White, Lou Rawls, all of those silky smooth voices that just soothed your soul after a long hectic day. A glass of wine, just lounging back and let your ears absorb heaven. Ah the good old days...
The Isley Brothers are legends decades in the making. When the front man Ron Isley made a return with his new persona, Mr. Biggs, it helped revitalize his career and add on to R. Kelly's at the time

Hall of Famers, legendary group with hugely talented musicians. 🔥🔥 For an example of the Opposite end of the jam spectrum, switch up the pace to their classic, "Who's That Lady." Their catalog is full of r&b classic hits.😍 "Harvest for the world" is a timeless message close to your hearts.
Ron and Ernie (lead singer and guitarist) are still performing today. Ron is on a current song with Beyonce. Jimi Hendrix played guitar for them back in the 60s. He also lived at their house for a while.
Back in the day the Isley Brothers albums were labeled "Side A: Dancing," and "Side B: Romancing." Some Side A cuts to check out: "Living in the Life," "Hope You Feel Better Love," "Climbing Up the Ladder," and "Say You Will." On those songs you'll get to hear Ernie Isley kill it on guitar. A unique cut is "Ain't I Been Good to You." It starts out with a funky groove, then Ron Isley slows it down and repeats the lyrics in a bluesy vibe, and then Ernie comes in and makes his guitar sing with his brother's vocals.
I almost got myself in BIG trouble at an Isley Brothers concert. It was about 1970 and they were doing a free outdoor concert on the riverfront. I had my pilots license before I graduated high school and I was just a dumb kid at the time. I buzzed the concert, luckily nobody took down my tail numbers and the only people who knew it was me were my passenger and a few friends he told. Word spread with the local kids but nobody could prove a thing.
Nothing like 70's R&B !!!!!
I agree with you 1000%!
Can’t go wrong with the Isley Brothers. You can feel the emotion in the voices. Good choice.
The Isley brothers use to rock house back in the day still do! Their silky sound was for sure the best! So ready to do some slow drag dancing! Living for the love of their music!
Can never go wrong with the Isley Brothers
This song still hits the same way after 47 years.
The Isley brothers are one of the best groups around. I just love them.
As I told my daughter....... the Isley Brothers smooth slow jams help bring you into this world back in the 70's.
You see this? This is soul music us Baby boomers were lucky to have experienced as teens or 20s. Our generation is the best! We were age perfect to experience this, dancing, making love, clubbing etc etc. Generation X and the Millennials missed out on this

This song 'Summer Breeze' and 'Harvest For the World' are three of my favourite Isley Brothers' songs😊
I was told that on an Isley Brothers album, one side was for dancing the other side for romancing. And it's all good. ☮💜🎶
This is my favorite song by the Isley Brothers. It's so poetic and romantic.
me too
It took me 24 years to hear what perfection in a song is and For the Love Of You is perfection.
another gem by them is Footsteps in the Dark

It starts out with a funky groove, then Ron Isley slows it down and repeats the lyrics in a bluesy vibe, and then Ernie comes in and makes his guitar sing with his brother's vocals.
Hands down one of my favorite songs ever
I almost got myself in BIG trouble at an Isley Brothers concert. It was about 1970 and they were doing a free outdoor concert on the riverfront. I had my pilots license before I graduated high school and I was just a dumb kid at the time. I buzzed the concert, luckily nobody took down my tail numbers and the only people who knew it was me were my passenger and a few friends he told. Word spread with the local kids but nobody could prove a thing.
