The vienna gambit is pretty easy to crush. 1. e4 e5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. f4 d5(only move) 4 fxe5 Nxe4. White can go in a few directions from here but none of them are that impressive. Just remember to fight for the center and you will be fine. If you want to avoid the vienna gambit I recommend 2. ...c6 which prepares d5 to counterstrike the center or 2. @@andreitiberiovicgazdovici A fun line against this is 3. Qg5 attacking the weak g7 pawn. This is just bad if black responds properly but that doesn't matter until you are rated 2000+. At 6:53 after Be7, when Levy plays Nf3 for white, can't white play Bc6 instead trapping the queen? If knight captures, the pawn comes and sits there in a deadly position
Levy looked up the mountain, shrouded in clouds that were ripped apart by gusty winds, smashing them into the jagged cliffs and tearing them to long white strings. The freezing air found every gap in Levy's clothing, even his quality outdoor wear wasn't able to keep all of the brutal onslaught of ice cold air out. He pulled the strings on his Alapin jacket faster another time, after he had tucked his London t-shirt into the expensive Gruenfeld trousers. He won't be defeated by this mountain, for he knew what was up there, waiting for him to be grasped. A rare mineral, one that most people will never see, much less even touch. The elusive rarity, that was called a gem-norm. This prestigious mineral, so Levy knew, was within his reach. If he gave it his all, he could climb the mountain, and right there, in a gap between the clouds that whistled past the mountaintop, he could almost see it shine, or so he thought. Step by step, he had climbed up this steep mountain, years of training for this one moment. Confident in his skills, he pressed on, close to exhaustion, his fingers gripping the bare rocks around him, almost cutting into his skin. Right in front of him, he saw a line. A narrow path, straying from the main course that would not bring him onto a glacier. He knew his skills on rocks were absolutely superior, so he took a step of faith, praying like a bishop that his variant of the main line up the mountain would lead to success. After a few steps, he realized though, he wasn't aware of the split in the rock face. He traded his rock for the other one, that looked way easier to scale, being in a much less exposed position. Little did he know, this early into the day, the way he chose lead him into a dawn-storm. He had to let go of the rock, he needed to fall back to the main line, but the way was shut, the dawn storm had pushed snow behind him, and it had become an avalanche. Levy spotted the carcass of a horse, no, not just a horse, there were also human bones. It looked like a long time ago, a knight must have died on this mountain, judging from the rusted sword that lay beside the bones. One hand of the dead knight, nothing but bones, pointed through a sharp crack in the impenetrable fortress that seemed to be the mountain's cliffs. Following the linke with his gaze, Levy knew, it was almost impossible to climb, but on top, he spotted a rock that created an overhang, being pinned between the cliffs. Levy looked down again, wondering what had killed the knight, when he found a rope in the knight's other hand. Then he knew it, the knight hadn't died. It had sacrificed itself for exactly this moment. The invigorated Levy took the rope, threw it up the mountain, and rock-lifted himself onto the pinned rock. And just as the rock cracked and fell down, Levy grabbed the ledge and pulled himself up. One step after another, Levy said to himself. One step after another, closer and closer he got to his prize, the one goal, the invaluable mineral, the gem-norm. [copy pasta this you plebs, if you need to copypasta something. @@MrChrisdube just gambit a pawn by playing b4, next time you see the sicilian. 90% people won't know how to play against it and it's not even losing for white. It's perfectly playable and takes your opponent out of their preparation on move 2.
This was really helpful! Using this, I managed to prevent my opponent from creating the infrastructure required to operate high speed interceptor aircraft carrying anti ship armament. Got a little flustered when I realized my MIRV backup plan would have hit my freshly promoted knight, which would have caused some rather awkward economic sanctions, but I think I managed keep pushing them to fumble a win.
True, this attack helped me learn how to stop rapid formation of their army and create a intercontinental 346-HD missile and instead turn it into me getting an anti-aircraft Super charged aerial launched ballistic missile at my opponent at high speed. Great vid!
When I play the Albin Countergambit, After Nf3, I like to play Bb4+ and if Bd2, I play Nc3 because there is a really cool trick that (at least for me) works really good in blitz and bullet game in low elo. That trick comes if white plays Bxd2, I play Nxd2 and then it seems that white wins a pawn by Nxd4 but I can actually take with the Queen because after Qxd4, Qxd4 by white doesn't works because of Nc2+ forking the Queen and the king and after Kd2/d1, Nxd4, I have win a knight for a pawn and white can't castle. Stockfish says that the position is +2,5 - +3 (depending if white plays Kd2 or Kd1) for black. And if white doesn't blunders by playing Nxd4, the position is actually playable for black.
Didn't you just steal this comment from another video? It's not that hard to write an original comment. Look: "My name is Brad Henkelman, and I got made fun of growing up for my last name". See? Originality :)
@@Tennishangman In that case, I retract my insult. Bonus points for making ME look like the idiot, without having an ego about it. You're the bigger man, I gladly admit that.
Levy, your line against the London (d4 d5; Bf4 c4) invites white to play e4, giving him what is effectively an Albin with an extra move. I have found this to be pretty strong for white.
Im not entirely sure if this is right but in the first subscriber game when the white queen moves to E2 to defend check you can win the white queen for a knight and a bishop. Ng3, (either pawn takes doesn't matter which one), Bxg2, (No matter where the king moves you can take the queen on the next move solidifying a win and free elo)
Finally got someone to fall for this after I can't count how many tries. Most satisfying game of my life. Guy was so mad he rage rematched me three times and lost each one.
It's the first time I look up what to do against the Queen's Gambit. I used to just freestyle it and f*** it up in many different ways. I have the feeling that's gonna change now :) Thanks for this great video. Crushing London will be next!!!
The second pawn isn't gambiting "yet an other pawn". It just that you exhange a perfectly good pawn for a really weak pawn that you might or might not win back. One of the drawbacks is that it white no longer needs to protect the weak pawn on e5 (and can more freely move about with his knight, opening up the diagonal against your king).
I went to my local chess club on Wednesday and lost six games in a row. Two of those were queen’s gambits, both times I responded with two pawns in the centre upon your recommendation. Unfortunately that was about the extent of what I remembered and people never do what you expect them to, so I lost both times. It was a hard night but I came away thinking, I really need to learn how to counter this queen’s gambit pain in the … haha. Thanks for your videos, I find it so entertaining. 🙏🏼
The storyline continued when Levy looked up to Magnus and told him " you make my rook lift" as he threw his hand under his pants, Magnus replied with an exquisite tone "you will lift mine , and we'll trade". "Only under my terms" Levy said as he proceded to throw him into the wall, "I see... you know your gambits little boy" -said the champion- " but i prefer to fight for the dark squares", Carlsen shook Levy's hand and left..
I've been destroyed by the queen's gambit a few times in a row now, so here I'm watching a 45min video of semi-slav theory, only for Levy to come in clutch with an anti-queen's gambit video 🔝🐐
After seeing this yesterday, when today my opponent played d4, d5; c4, I was hesitant to play e5 but i did and boy oh boy. It took me 8 moves to win the game and the opponent was 23 points above me in lichess. Glad I was here, cheers mate.

Levy in a nutshell:
IM crushing 1000 rated players.
"This opening is a disaster for unprepared players" xD
Lmao
I love you! Really needed this!
“UA-cam is superior.”
-Levy, during that one video where Twitch kept making the same joke over and over.
Didn't you just steal this comment from another video? It's not that hard to write an original comment. Look:
"My name is Brad Henkelman, and I got made fun of growing up for my last name". See? Originality :)
Boom, roasted. But no, the joke is that I post it on every video.
The only person I stole it from is myself.
Brad Henkelman Dedication
@@Tennishangman In that case, I retract my insult. Bonus points for making ME look like the idiot, without having an ego about it. You're the bigger man, I gladly admit that.
Levy, your line against the London (d4 d5; Bf4 c4) invites white to play e4, giving him what is effectively an Albin with an extra move. I have found this to be pretty strong for white.
Oh no- my queen's gambit.
Instructions unclear I blundered on move 1
Thx for the video, I played the Albin for a while without knowing theorie and just improvising; this video is a great help
Finally got someone to fall for this after I can't count how many tries. Most satisfying game of my life. Guy was so mad he rage rematched me three times and lost each one.
It's the first time I look up what to do against the Queen's Gambit. I used to just freestyle it and f*** it up in many different ways. I have the feeling that's gonna change now :)
Thanks for this great video. Crushing London will be next!!!
The only drawback is we who play the queens gambit are watching this vid too :p
(In 3:59) you cant "smash them with Bb4" because they moved the knight so you just get an eqwal posesion
This is what happens when you go for d4 nonsense! E4 for ever gang!
Disclaimer: No queens were hurt during filming of this video
Thanks man, I was waiting for someone to cover it for the longest!
Gosh yeah. Он монстр
I am a 12 year old 1600 thanks to Gotham chess
Great stuff Levy! Love it!
Poor Rain was using the Hikaru voice app
Oh no ... 😂
5. Nbd2 isn't covered which is probably at least as strong as a3, I'm 1200 and I usually get great positions in the albin now that I play this line.
I’ve been facing way too much D4 lately thank you for this
I went to my local chess club on Wednesday and lost six games in a row. 🙏🏼
Got here faster than I lost my self esteem
That is a thing people who hasn't lost their self esteem can say to anything they eventually get to.
levy keep uploading your work, you are amazing, and an great instructor
Great content as always!
Giving bits of information, and not really spoon-fed

Got here faster than i blunder my queen
I play the Queens gambit alot so I figured I should know something about the albin, your mona Lisa of chess video is awesome ! Tactics on steroids
Hi Levy, could you also point out some inaccurate moves and how to punish these moves?
I've been destroyed by the queen's gambit a few times in a row now, so here I'm watching a 45min video of semi-slav theory, only for Levy to come in clutch with an anti-queen's gambit video 🔝🐐
After seeing this yesterday, when today my opponent played d4, d5; c4, I was hesitant to play e5 but i did and boy oh boy. It took me 8 moves to win the game and the opponent was 23 points above me in lichess. Glad I was here, cheers mate.
I can't believe the 1001 lasted the longest out of everyone 😂😂😂
I was just looking for an Albin video, thanks Levy!
This move seems nice. Maybe Netflix should make a series out of it one day, that would be cool.
Hi Gotham, Thanks for this suggestion! I just played this opening 1st time at KI open 2022. I won in my game! I gambit two pawns and won. I did this because I just viewed your video f a day before the game and did not prepare anything for QGD.
I thought that was your girlfriend 😂then I remembered it's the chess queen herself
I love watching your videos then have games go down just like you teach and I get 💯 accuracy and a quick checkmate. Pays to study, learn, and practice
Intructions unclear, endep up getting checkmated again in 3 moves.
How to crush Levy's Gambit?
