There's a strap to wear around the forearm with a splint for the same hand. Wear to sleep at night to prevent the forearm cramping and tightening. Mushrooms can be controlled by baking soda application. Arm & Hammer makes a shaker.
Well Doc I finally made the plunge and bought some Andersons PGF Complete but...last winter in Northwest Alabama we had a snow and ice event and , because of the lack of sun is some areas of my yard the snow did not melt, turned into ice and sat there for a long time. I think that killed some of my bermuda that is just not coming back, and, we have had rain and rain and rain. I don't know what to do about the bare spots in my yard now.
DOC, could you please make a video on how to deal with stunt mites on bermuda which cause the witch broom effect on the grass? Would be much appreciated 🙂
Illinois and some southern states are getting a dual-brood cicada season. Probably not a good year to plant young trees, although I think they're fascinating insects. Really great comments on michorhyzae and introducing legumes to grass areas that are more "natural". Hope your neck quits bothering you soon.
Doc, I have that as well. I ended up taking some injections as an outpatient procedure. Great stuff! Also, the iron in the DGL is taking out some of the moss that I have an issue with in the back yard due to shade and moisture. It's a twofer!
Doc I just picked up a bag of Dirt Booster + after watching your videos. I had emailed Anderson's help and they said you could put it down anytime. I just did my first fertilizer a week ago. I am in NY 30 mins north of NYC. I guess I wasted a bag as from what you are saying to early. I did tell the person at Anderson where I lived.
I went to the acupuncture yesterday and went to the chiropractor last wednesday, I have chronic neck and lower back pain also my shoulder is starting to have issues.
I applied my DGL Friday (watered in) and it rained all day Saturday in Texas with light / heavy waves of rain. I hope my product didn’t run all out of the soil
Good to hear you are on the mend. My front yard needs help. I live in Houston TX and last year's heat burned up the front yard lawn, St Augustine grass, approx 400 sq ft. All that is coming out is Bermuda grass and weeds. I want to start over and get rid of the Bermuda grass. I am going to use Roundup to get rid of this grass. How long do I need to wait before laying down new St Augustine grass?
Hey doc you should use the new herbicide recognition on your zoysia lawn… it has a added chemical to it a proprietary safener, metcamifen that allows you to treat zoysia and st Augustine with either Fusilade Ii or triclopyr with absolutely amazing results. They even show a field test chart where it was triple applied with not stunting of the zoysia grass. Before trying to use Fusiladeii with out metcamifen in it would really put a hurtin on the zoysia
Can you point me to the series of your lawn restoration for that property? I have a backyard restoration to do, I had to let the lawn go to weeds do to the drought and governors orders.
By the way. I am in the Dallas area Texas. With a very Bermuda lawn. Mine personally, is a bit sick, as the soil here is absolute clay. I just bought a scarifier machine, and then I plan to aerate the living hell out of it. My backyard is almost flawless. But my front yard, is suffering tall fescue severely. I would actually love to have some insight on how the hell I handle that? I'm nearly at the point, to just burning the whole front long, rototilling, and replacing it with fresh new pallets of Bermuda sod. I am lost and frustrated.
Hope ur neck is getting better. I have neck problems too it’s no fun. Question where did you get those ramps for the zero turn? Love ur videos so informative!
Really appreciate your videos and guidance DOC. Was able to transform my front yard from a desert wasteland to a nice green lawn. Dealing with some moles in the yard now. Any recommendations?
Hey Doc. I drove from KY to a neurosurgeon in your area, Gainesville, who is awesome. I highly recommend her. She did disc replacement surgery on me. Let me know if you’d like her contact information.
I’m looking to buy a weather station and would love to know which unit you bought and if you like it. Best of luck with the neck stuff I too have problems and it can be no fun!!
Hi Doc ! I live in Auburn GA. and we have an all of a sudden issue with spider mites that are ruining my beautiful flower beds and bushes 😢, any advice will be greatly appreciated.
I have Zoysia (Pike Nursery) and it appears to be waking up from Winter much slower than my Bermuda, why is that? Stone Mountain here… looks kinda dead 😮
Just look up cervical spine nerve flossing. It’ll get relief pretty quickly, might need PNF work to get the muscles to balance. I thought you were a doctor?
Hey doc I was on the lawn forum website and people were saying not to use the my soil test because they were saying that the time that the soil sits in the container to long and can skew the results of the pH by one point up or down and that the nutrient adsorbing capsule does not do what it suppose to do. What would you say about that? btw, I use the my soil test. I just want your opinion.
Doc, I’ve got a chiro that does telehealth who can get you on track for long term pain management. Reply to this if you’d like and I can get you his contact
Hope your neck/nerve problems subside. I love all your content. Excellent information. No doubt. I've made my lawn into a golf course, thanks mostly to you. I just wanna point out the fact that, last night, i watched an older video of you at the beach house and you specifically say you planted common bermuda in your zoysia lawn to match the blade size. However, in this video, you claim bermuda infiltrated your lawn ("all this bermuda keeps coming in"). As if it wasn't because of your own actions. Ie. Planting common bermuda in the zoysia lawn to match the blade width of the wide zoysia. Your reasoning as to why bermuda is now in your lawn and rationale doesn't make sense
You need to stop trying chiropractors and start by getting an MRI. X-rays can't see nerves and you describe C5-6 or C6-7 radiculopathy into the distal extremity. If it impacts your middle finger or weakens your tricep you'll need to see a doctor soon for C6-7 disc replacement or fusion or you will permanently lose that strength (6-8 weeks before cell death begins). If it gets your 4th or 5th finger it's prolly c5-c6. Grip strength is c8. You get the ideal. The dermatome tells you which nerve root is impinged. That's what you're likely dealing with and no chiropractor can fix that. It'll only worsen over time.
As a neck specializing chiropractor, I see, and help fix these issues all the time. It’s rare for medical/ortho doctors to order mri right away for something like this as well as chiros. X ray can’t see nerve but you get a picture of the spine and what the openings for the nerves look like. Plus, often insurances want an x ray before approving mri. I have plenty of patients that had fusions done. Many times they wish they hadn’t done them. Not that they don’t have their role, it’s just not to be taken lightly and any good surgeon will advise to exhaust conservative therapies before going that route. Even then, only is it recommended if the patient is having progressive weakness/organ dysfunction due to impingement, otherwise it would be up to them to decide if the pain is too bad and they want to try it.
Very cool opportunity you are giving this college grad. Her career is about to hit the stratosphere and she will be in the best classroom available. 👍
11:30 That pond view is amazing. Great job Doc.
I just want to say thank you! After following you and your guides after the last few years, I've gotten my lawn figured out and looking great!

Looking good. Take care of yourself Doc. Sometimes you just have to slow down a bit and let your body heal.

Really awesome stuff! Hoping you feel better, thanks Doc!

Hey Doc do you rent out your Beach-house?
Hey devil dog, how about letting a physical therapist check you out. You might be able to get something’s stronger and get some relief that last.
Utilize the Mackenzie method
