Another old scale modeler here, and that aging job on the P08 is superb! I had already decided to buy this pistol - now you made it a MUST HAVE! The shooting report was excellent too. Very well done!
When you put all of that powdered rust on it I thought to myself that you had completely ruined it. But I have to say that it turned out looking amazing! Very nice job. That's what separates the true artists from the hacks like me. Hacks like me try to go from start to finish in one step which makes it look fake. Artists like yourself use a layered approach, knowing all along what the final product will eventually look like. Thanks for showing this process.
A lot of your methods to "age" the pistol I've used on plastic models of, say, BF-109's, P-40's, Sturmovek's(I think I missspelled the last) WWII aircraft. Even if the yellow zinc color does not fit the "true" original paint, I love to use that, plus the undercoat of any variety of flats, and top it off with a semi-metallic, water-based, top coat that can easily be "worn off"(with water). I guess I'm a nerd about this... Nicely done with the Luger!
it's not for sale yet.it was a preview of a new product coming out soon.i'm not remembering which "air gun" site it was on.i'll try to find it again and let you know.
wow paul ,thats some nice work you done,give4 us more of that, big thumbs up,,,,

Just ordered one of these for a good friend's birthday. I also found a nice replica canvas holster for it. He's gonna be stoked! I'll be sure to show him your video.
Whoa that looks amazing! It's funny how many firearms owners want their guns to be as pristine as possible but how many air gun replica owners want it to look like it's been there and done that! I weathered my airsoft el-cheapo 1911 (some die cast metal springer) and put it on my wall but now I want to do more!
Hi!! Thanks for this video!! I wonder if there is any chance of changing the triger, as the original of this replica, does not look like the real steel one. This may sound stupid, but I'd love to buy one for me, but changing the triger to a much more "realistic" one. The replica looks superb, and the exemplar shown here, look incredible good in all aspects!! Good!!!
there's a new bb rifle that shows the damage, and accuracy of bb's going 900 fps, that was/is very impressive,i think it is called "dragon claw" or some 2 word name , the last word is "claw".it will probley be kind of expensive.it does a lot of damage with bb's.it also has a "rate of fire" adjustment.i hope you will see the video-ad that shows the power, and accuracy of it.perhaps it will lead the way to more powerful bb guns.you think so?
I would wait until the warranty wears off, as it will be voided by anything you do to it, l got a Webley VI that l made look exactly like the worn antique looking gun they sell but which l couldnt get hold of, and sent it in for new seals l got away with it, but the next l sent in a Colt 45 peacemaker which l had antiqued they looked at it and the picture on the box ( brand new finish ) and said they wouldnt repair it under warranty if l needed to have it repaired ( l did new seal ) l would have to pay. So now l have just bought the Luger in blow back an d in satin black l will have to wait a year until warrantys out before l can make it the way l want it, same with the new Walther P38 l got a week after the Luger,, I'm itching to change them lol.
Also, did the paint, powder and other finish effect the action of the Magazine? I would think that it would cause it to be too tight and would scrape off inside the gun.
The box instructions address installing the CO2 cartridge very poorly,. What no one says is that the Luger arrives out of the box needing the "capsule piercing screw" turned several times counter clockwise until it stops at that point it is ready to insert the capsule then turning the "capsule piercing screw" clockwise many times until again, it stops.
Love the antiquing process ,very tedious, lots of patience,,but the results seems worth the effort . How could someone do it that doesn't have all the tools (airbrush , etc.,) that you use ?
Well l had a brand new Webley Vl in new shiny Black, l took a sheet of sandpaper no 120, and sanded the front of the muzzle and carefully a little around the edge to make it like the finish had been scorched off over time, then l sanded the top of the foresight, top of the hammer, front edge of the cyilnder, wheel to suggest🎉 rubbing against a holster, the grip tang l sanded lightly to suggest fading from gripping it and acids from the hand eating the finish away, basically anything that protuded outwards and would rub against a sam browne holster and belt. When id finished it looked exactly like the one on a box advertised for sale made by Tai Wan in antiqued finish, l did such a good job that when l sent it in under warranty to have the seals replaced they didn't know l had done it and thought it was one of theirs, and therein lies the rub if you'll pardon the pun, if you interfere with a new gun in anyway, the warranty is voided, any repairs will cost you as will P&P, so best to wait until its out of warranty before making any changes as a big repair could cost you a small fortune. But ultimately its up to you what you do with your own gun, l loved the way it looked when id finished it, got a kick out of it, and then a few months later a friend loved it so much he paid me £50 over the price l had paid for it, so ok for me lol. I did the same to a black Colt Peacemaker 45 and then bought an aged one and they both looked almost identical. I have a brand new luger as above and Walther P38, which I'm going to have to wait a year for before l can make them look aged and more real.
Hey, if I send you my gun, could you do the same??? Along with a held-harmless docu as well?? I would do it myself, but I lack the tools, and this isn't a reason to spend the $$ to buy them....Darn justification..
I think, the bb pellet is far too light for that kind of power. I don't think it will be an accurate gun... but thats just my amateur opinion, Perhaps there are some experts that could shed a light on this subject?
over-hyped no power ...why is it no high power bb pistols are on the market?...really.the most powerful semi-auto i can find only goes 500+ fps.i want a semi-auto pistol,as small as possible to have a 20 rd "clip",and go 1000+ fps,and can be "on the ready" for a month without seal problems.conform the design to the "power needs",instead of popular designs, and be reasonable with the price of it.
I thought we were never to change the look to make it look more like a firearm. This is stupid. Normally I agree with you. But showing how to make a toy look real come on seriously.

You did a wonderful job painting and "distressing" that P08. Wish I had your skill.
The grips are the original plastic ones. I sanded down the checkering, made some cracks and edge nicks, then painted.
WOW that final touch is definitely amazing! Great mod and paint job!!!
Amazing work!
Paul that pistol looks amazing.
Really enjoyed this video, and congratulations on your 100th video. Hope there are many more to come.
I would love to see more weathering treatments
That looks amazing!!!
That looks awesome paul top job.
That was amazing what you did to make that pistol look old . Good job.

You ruined the warranty, but now it is amazing. I disassembled mine and greased some parts, now goes smoother.😂
I imagine you could also antique a plastic umarex browning as well. I would also like to antique a paintball Tommy I have. Looks real good.
Beautiful job on making it look old.

Wow! Amazing finish! But you didn't tell us anything about the handles. What did you do?
WOW! that looked brilliant after ageing, awesome stuff.

love the custom job part

that is a great job, with the rust and wear on it.
Thanks.
Awesome custom finish :)
i find the findings are very accurate, thanks for this video. i have the blowback.
That was done excellent
very nice job, I have a blowback model on order. May order a fixed action to try this on.
That P-08 was a non blowback model. Would putting paint on it like that is it were a blowback cause problems??? Nice job I may try that.
Wow when you were done looked like a $3000 battlefield pick-up
Also, did the paint, powder and other finish effect the action of the Magazine? I would think that it would cause it to be too tight and would scrape off inside the gun.

I'm thinking of either getting this or the Legends C96 CO2. Which one do you think is better?
Thanks for the kind replies folks!
came out good
That's an awesome idea, cheers!
Cool ! Nice job 👍
very nice, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Jon, everyone! If you folks would like to make suggestions for similar modding techniques, just let me know and I'll post a video.
Nice 👍
No toggle lock
can the trigger pull be tweeked. it hard to pull
У меня почти такой, 100 метров в секунду, бутылки норм колет)
Только затвор при выстреле, как у настоящего двигается, кучка примерно такая же.
"Nice lookin' Luger"- Jerry Seinfeld
why did remove a full co2 capsule like that? you are messing up the sealing big time!
cold stuff eh? ya nobber, the seal will love it.
Me too.
nice job =)
it fires only bbs?
The Legends Parabellum P.08 CO2 Pistol shoots only BBs.
Thanks,

WOW !!
I try to google it, all i can find is dragon claw by samyang.... .50 cal airgun.
damm, you are good!!!!!
what about fixing the gun into a vice.
beautiful ;-)
Are the grips real or original?
Airguns are not "toys". Airguns can be used to hunt and some can even cause extreme harm to human.

I'm sorry but someone has to say it....
He ruined the functionality of that gun. It looks pretty dam good, but that's all you'll get out of it now
