People can feel however they want about gypsies but I have to give it to the dress maker. She's amazing and quite brilliant to pull these dresses and weddings off! I mean can you imagine!

thats lady deserves a medal !!! although I can appreciate the work she does on these I still think the girls look like Toilet Roll Dolls when they're wearing them..remember those things granny had back in the day LOL

I had issues going to the bathroom in my prom dress. I can't IMAGINE the hell they go through! Also, I'm going to invent a vacuum bag for Traveler's wedding dresses. I'll make a FORTUNE, but I won't tell you how much. ;)

@maryakasamantha I think they do, but I always wonder how they get into the caravan first...towards the end the designer even says that the pink dress was kept under the brides bed.
The dresses look like fun to me.
What worries me isn't their choice in dress... it's their clear immaturity. It's not just the dress. Their fantasy wedding is based off a children's universe, Disney everything, fairy tales, all this innocent stuff and most girls who marry are only 16.... THAT'S what bothers me.
If they were grown women with a mature mind and with a natural sense of their own self-worth they can wear whatever they want.
I think in one of the episodes, Thelma said the girls wore nappies (diapers)! I don't think they could fit in to a toilet stall in a public restroom with those dresses.

wow, the size of these dresses. i would sure hate to be wearing one and had to go pee. LOL
they dont have the underskirts which hold the skirts out so the dress is a little flatter. still requires a load of shoving into a plastic bag and then stuffing in cupboards
@maryakasamantha I'VE BEEN WONDERING THAT. They live in such small spaces, where in the world do they store these massive dresses? They only wear them once, after all.
I like that she has a sense of humor about how fucking insane these dresses are. What good is a wedding dress if you can't get up the aisle or dance with your new husband??
I grew up wanting and dreaming about that poofy dress for my wedding day then one day my mother placed a fashion magazine in front of me and I never looked back.

My sister wore the royal gypsy weddings dress and people critisised her for her style country people will never understand this is why gypsys always kept too their selves country people will never EVER understand us and we will never understand country people dont know why we all excpeted to go on telly!!

The dresses are HUGE but nowhere near hideous unless you like plain jane no frills no muss no fuss kind of wedding dresses which is fine. I want someone to answer me this riddle: WHERE DO THEY GET THE MONEY TO HAVE THESE ELABORATE WEDDINGS AND DRESSES?!?! They have to make it somewhere some way. And is the wedding the last celebration the bride has?
The girls that wear these dresses are all about the princess look, and don't even consider the logistics of wearing something so enormous! And it's not just the struggle to get them to sit at the bridal table, they couldn't even walk properly! To me it defeats the purpose of wearing something that you consider to be the epitome of beauty, if you're walking like you're trying to kick a dog poo off the toe end of your shoe.
