I just wanted to share my perspective on this song after having sat with it for a while. I understand Ren’s intention behind using such strong language as an expression of his pain and anger in the situation, and based on some of the comments I've read, he has mentioned that he chose these slurs against the girlfriend, because he knew it would hurt Kujo the deepest. However, I also feel that if we recognize how deeply hurtful certain words can be, particularly slurs directed at women like the S-word, we have a responsibility to avoid normalizing their use. It’s an important conversation to have, especially since there isn’t an equivalent slur for men in the same context. This imbalance and its implications deserve more attention and reflection. I'm not sure how I feel about this song to be honest, it's definitely not going on my playlist, but that doesn't take away the love I have for Ren's other music, this particular side of him just isn't for me. I'd rather be honest about it than pretend to be okay with it for the sake of pleasing everyone. I understand how hurtful these people were towards him, and I understand his need to be cathartic with his art, but like he said himself in this song, hate breeds more hate. Who knows what his intentions truly were making this video, maybe he specifically wanted to open up conversations about these topics, in which case I tip my hat to him, because here we are talking about it in a very respectful and understanding way. On the other hand this could just be him expressing pure anger towards these people in a very public setting, and fair enough, they did the same to him, and I understand in Hip-Hop this is a very common thing, calling people out on their bullshit. Anyway, I think this comment was my way of filtering through my thoughts and opinions on this song and the feelings it brought up in me. Please feel free to reply to this thread and continue the conversation! I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions on these matters! Let's remember to be respectful and to be the change we want to see!
@wynandfouriemusic He just needed to get it out, and some of us Renegades needed to experience that process with him. A lot of us have followed Ren for years and are very emotionally attached to Sick Boi. We were angry. Prob too attached, but that's a convo for another day lol. I appreciate you giving us your honest reaction. It just shows what a beautiful and kind person you are. ❤️Don't change! Rising tide baby!!🌊
@@wynandfouriemusic you have your own opinion as we all do.As for the language used well it's just a insult I've been called much worse in my lifetime so don't let it spoil your out look on Ren
Hey Wynand, To respond to your invite to converse about Ren's dissing of the girlfriend, I've pasted my reply to one of your comentors, @MizCriz46: Wonderful and well measured reply @MizCriz46, thank-you. As a child born of the 60's I cringed at Ren's justified feelings towards the girlfriend. I am also acutely aware of the possible public condemnation Ren put himself in line for equalling dissing her repugnant behaviour, regardless of gender. Equality is concept most desire, but few understand the ramifications of being equal in all avenues of life. As was so eloquently stated in Hi Ren, it's all about balance. The middle path is the way. 🤕🥰😃 In response to your concern regarding specific words and making their use taboo. I understand and in part agree with that, however in doing so we unintentionally increase their impact and consequence, so as in many things; it's complicated. Regardless, enjoy! 🤕🥰😃
Your face was quite the picture 😂 I do think the UK has a significantly different view on swear words and name calling, and I won’t lie initially the S slur took me back but as a piece of work I think it it’s epic, this is what he does. Also, look at his battle with Dotta which showed his lightness and the normal REn reaction. This was his masterpiece, the title track to his number one album they tried to take from him, so yeah I think I see where he feels this is how that side of him should react towards them. But you are right, it’s not on my playlist either, but it’s part of his story.❤
@joyplant6275 Definitely hasn't spoiled my outlook on Ren, I totally get where he's coming from, I just thought it's worth opening a conversation about these topics. With any artist there will be songs I relate to less, it doesn't diminish the respect I have for him as an artist. The video is a work of art and definitely provoked the right emotions
78 y.o. woman from midwest USA here. I had no problem with the language (I understand the "c" word is far less shocking in UK) or the depiction of his treatment of the gf. She was a willing participant in the slander & attempted bribery. Why should she get a pass because she's female? Some people thought he went too far here. Why is it OK for him to reveal his deepest pain & suffering about his physical & mental health for the world to witness but not his very understandable rage?
Wonderful and well measured reply @MizCriz46, thank-you. As a child born of the 60's I cringed at Ren's justified feelings towards the girlfriend. 55-year-old feminist here and I agree with you on this. Equal rights means equal consequences. She put herself in there in a manipulative and then aggressive way and learned that Ren does actually subscribe to “fuck around and find out”
@@MizCriz46 I 100% agree. I flinched at the s word but I know Ren doesn't have a misogynistic bone in his body. Your explanation set aside any residual flinches I might have still had.
WOW... EVERYONE should read your closing statement . I mean REALLY READ IT ...That's Balance!! If you really watched Rens 35 min. And the frustration of getting sucker punched every time he did Try to find 'The middle path' He did say he had to let it out somehow. Ren chose to put a mirror in front of their faces to give them a warning..DONE.Rather than drag their names through the mud in court and really expose them for what WE all know they really were.
Mister, probably 70% of your follower/subscribers are Renegades, we probably watched every reactor-reacted to the Kujo beatdown diss and singalong to the lyrics and we did a fist pump and cheered on after he finished the song. You’re very late to the party (@3months) One of the reason Ren had a relapse from his illness (that’s why you and the renegades made a beautiful song for him) all the stress and anxiety it cause him , 2-3 swear words is nothing compared to the trouble Kujo contributed to Ren’s emotional distress!
The "F*ck it" literally heard around the world and a cheer followed. Hacked off Ren was indeed savage but still so dang eloquent. I think my favourite line is "I'm the subject matter you are part of the scenery" so gorgeously harsh. Great react 🙂
@@celtzen my faves(can there ever be just 1?) this is how a sick boi works ya feeling me and if I ever read another fkn comment from you, the exasperation, we've all felt it at one time or another😅
@Heyboo66 honestly I think we've all had that oh ffs exasperation moment where you just want to lay into someone but... speaking for myself that is where I burst into tears of frustration and sputter random vaguely word shaped sounds- so its cathartic to see someone do it so eloquently.
I'm not sure if it's my age and long life experience that's made me more accepting of the language used, or the fact that I'm so surprised it's young reactors who are shocked. I'm 71 and Scottish. We do use abusive language colourfully here, its in the culture😂.
@@toniyoung5131 yeah I think we older folks had far less problems with the language and the depiction of violence but as we've gotten older, we've learned to relax, we've learned to soften.
@@lynette. My fault, I tend to take things at face value. I did wonder after posting...? Thanks for the clarification. Sorry for not getting what is now obvious!!
When dis tracks become theatre. One thing that Ren explained that I needed clarifying was the bit where he changes positions with Kujobeats in the chair. He said he did that because this represents that he understands everyone in this matter feels like they are the victim.
Don't ever play Monopoly with Ren. Just ask Knox Hill😅 He is a fantastic strategic warrior. He did the explanation video, made the Beat Down, then wrnt on line and asked all the reactors who btw have benefited from him, to react to it as close to the premier as pissible. You Tube was absolutely FLOODED, with reactions of glee. Over 20,000 people at the premier! No wonder You Tube music ceo met in a face to face with Ren! Video was put back up since Kujo had done a take down stike without having cleared his own sample. Ren is a boss Also just a word abour the language... UK use of C word is not nearly as explosive as here in US. Don't know about S. AFRICA. IN FACT, in one instagram storey Rwn opebed with Good morning C ! I burst out laughing and now live to be called that endearment by him.😂😂😂😂😂 only him.
As an American who lived in the UK and Ireland for 10 years - it took me a wee bit to get past the use of the C word but with friends from Leeds I soon learned that 'morning C*' is a term of affection lol :-)
C U Next Tuesday is my least favourite swear word (I'm in the UK) but I understood the context it was used in. And yes! I watched ALOT of reactions to this - got bored of counting after 50... but it never gets old - seeing the 'glee' 🤩
Two references which you will come across later: The moral of Jimmy putting his hand in the jar, you’ll come across that when you do Money Game Part 3. “I went easy on the Dotta, he’s a friend exempt” - there’s an American rapper called King Dotta who for some reason (probably to get attention) did a diss track called Kingdom Come against Ren and challenged Ren to diss back. Ren took up the challenge and wiped the floor with him with Dumb King Come (flipping Kingdom to Dumb King 😂) without even bothering producing a beat for it. They’re friends now (you’ll see why when you see how Ren ends his diss) - hence “I went easy on the Dotta…”. The choir corpses represents the Bulgarian choir whose sample Kujo stole - they come over and touch Kujo and his girl and die.
As someone who also gets lyrics incorrect all the time I am sharing this with you with love. It's actually, "I went easy on the Dotta. He’s a friend, it's zen."
Ren to me, is a book with a blank cover. Open the book and the pages transport you to a time, place and emotion of Rens choosing. I'm just an old fart, but Ren has touched and helped me these last couple years. God bless and keep Ren among us, we need him
Hello Wynand. Have you watched Ren’s million subscribers video? In it, he talks about dealing with anger by expressing it and then letting it go. This is Ren expressing his anger and letting it go by means of a killer song. Thanks for your reaction and your huge contribution to the Renegades.
This is my second time watching this with the purpose of leaving a message. I’ve been sick and my brain isn’t working as well as I wish to express everything I’m thinking. It was passed on that some were not being kind because you were honest about how you feel about certain language. I want to thank you for being honest. Your requisite beautiful and honest. Thank you. Just take in the love. Peace and love
Ren's friend Kai shaved his head to play Kujo. The line "now the hope is the rope that will choke a bitch pale" is a call back to Hi Ren "I go by many names also. Some people know me as hope. Some people know me as the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope." They say you should never underestimate the nice guy. Here's proof of that which came only after Ren tried all he could to solve this amicably. In no other video, clip, BTS or interview have I heard him speak like this about anyone. Even his King Dotta diss track was funny and not mean. The stress of all this while he was trying to rehearse for The Secret Garden Party concert which was his first live show in 5 years. The weight of this mess was the beginning of the immense stress that began his health decline. I don't blame him for being furious. Thanks for another great reaction. I hope the Renlette wheel brings you a fun song on the next spin.
I am happy that the anger and violence was expressed in this creative way rather than any a more real world way 1000%. I loved everything about this track and didn't find it shocking, but hopefully for those who do find it shocking, they can recognize that Ren is human and has all the same vulnerabilities and foibles as the rest of us, can forgive the shock and then wallow in the more positive material that perpetuates the side Ren and we all really want to manifest into the world!
@kylene27 Well said, thank you so much for sharing. I think Im just not use to music with such heavy subject matter😅... But I do see the value in getting that catharsis out in your art and I commend Ren for that
My take on the choir dying is the choir dies when REN says legally. The choir was the stolen part of the sample that Kujo sold REN, and when Kujo took down Sick Boi he killed Sick Boi. At the time we didn’t think we’d ever get to see the song Sick Boi again. The choir was also a victim in this situation because they had their sample stolen.
I think it's interesting how much stuff woman get away in America at least but men are held accountable for. I love Ren for standing up for himself no matter who is coming at him in an artistic way. A honest emotional way. She made an effort to be conniving and manipulative in her behaviors. I think its great he called her out on it. Maybe because Ive worked in mental health for 25 years and I swear with the worst of them but I respect someone who's willing to stand up for themselves no matter what others will think or who the bully is.❤❤❤
Thank you for this perspective! I totally agree that she needed to be called out! She was, like you said, a conniving manipulative person. My issue is more with the specific slurs used against her, calling her an 'S-word' felt uncalled for to me. I've had many conversations with the women in my life about that word, and I've been called out for using it myself in 'light hearted' situations, and rightfully so. It's a word that has become very triggering which is why I responded the way I did. I think it warrants a healthy conversation around these topics. I also respect Ren for dealing with this in a cathartic way which is artistic. Art is supposed to be raw and ugly sometimes and I get that as well.
@wynandfouriemusic oh I can definitly see how it can be triggering too. Maybe it's my ADHD brain but I think emotionally triggering words mixed with the intensity of the tone/beat reverbs the intensity of the pain that he was trying to express. You can feel the emotion. Its so awesome you are open to a conversation about it and thanks for all that you do! Sending ❤️
One of my favorite parts is the choir once you hear what they're singing you can't unhear hear it 'didn't sell stolen beats or the choir being bled dry because kUJO beats stole their sample also like the flash of Ren being bound to the chair "imprisoned" representing Sick Boi being held due to the taking down of the song by UA-cam over all that is how I interpreted to this song and I loved it
Great reaction my friend! Yes it’s the old original version up still would love to hear the new version though. I’m still listening too your song for Ren it’s brilliant and reactions of it!
I agree with your final disclaimer, but we know very well (which I appreciate enormously) the level of transparency and authenticity of Ren. He showed his dark side, anger, just as it is. I find it very relatable, at least as far as I'm concerned. How many times, taken by anger and frustration, in our minds we have apostrophized others with the worst words and insults! then our more rational part filters and expresses itself in more "civil" tones. One of the things I appreciate about Ren is precisely his showing himself "human" with strengths and weaknesses, without the need to build a glossy public image but far from reality. " Tongue is a gun, it's a weapon" ( Genesis) it's sadly true...
Oh Wynand, your face 😂. Wish you could have been there at the prem, it was electric ⚡️. Never felt that much hype over a new drop. Now you need to go off-wheel to watch the Dotta diss that he did, to get that reference 😁 I don’t think anyone will come at you, it’s understandable if you don’t like certain language and behaviours ❤. My personal view is that Ren seems to have respect for the opposite sex, as well as gender, colour and creed differences, and his choice of insults were chosen because they are nasty generally, not to denigrate women. She is someone’s gf, he has no idea what she’s like, but that word would sure as heck upset Kujo.
I’m a 61y/o grandma and retired ER nurse! The language did not bother me I’ve heard and said worse 😂😂 great reaction your discomfort was visible on your face at times which is why I love watching you! You are authentic and the world needs more authenticity!❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
LOL I have to laugh at your comment. I am 75 years old, grew up with 5 older brothers, both strait and gay, no sisters. I'm the baby and only girl. I have heard every word imaginable. Most I never even understood. I cuss like a sailor when I get angry, especially angry at myself sometimes and will yell F F F over and over again at my mistake or pain I am in that day. No idea if sailors cuss worse than any other, but I've heard that also said about cussing. Upsets my husband because he grew up different from my life story. ha. I don't even know why the "c" word is so bad, I don't get it. Men are sometimes called "pricks" is that also bad? I can understand why "slut" would be hurtful. Anyway, glad to see your comment. I would have liked to reply to everyone about that issue but I'm too tired to go on and need my afternoon nap. hahaha
@@heartwork8318 this brought back a memory, when I was 17 my dad had to take me to ER to have some stitches in my finger, when we met in the waiting room he was actually blushing😅 " where did you learn words like that?"
The head slap is hilarious 😆 Ren had a little beef with someone named Dotta but it was nothing too serious Dotta was slating Rens work.Dont forget the girlfriend threatened to kneecap Ren so she copped it.Great reaction.Go watch Rens diss with Dotta it's interesting😊
A word of warning before you watch the Chapters, you will probably need tissues cos it's extremely upsetting at times, but it really does bring you closer to knowing and understand who Ren is and why he's is who he is. I hope one day that there can be a feature length documentary/biographical movie on his life, his story is such a rich one, filled with not only pain but massive positivity, joy and love. You and your song being a part of that story too
If you actually think about it Ren really isn’t ‘violent’ in this. He’s definitely he’s most angry but in the end he calls kujo a few names, hopes he has nightmares, warns him to stop the bs and then puts them back in the darkness of anonymity, where they started.
What happens when you push the nicest guy in the industry too far? Righteous rage!! Ren said he needed to let the anger out somehow and boy did he do just that 🔥 Ren made history! Our sick boi was wronged and the hype to see him release his anger was insane. Pretty sure there was like twice the amount of people in chat for the premiere than we’ve seen before and so many reactors heard his call for support ❤️ It’s interesting that the community is so passionate because of how genuinely nice Ren is, yet we all LOVE seeing this side of him 😂 Luckily they seem to have taken his warning and have kept quiet so Ren can hopefully move on from this. Well I am pretty sure the stress from it played a big part in his health taking a dive tho 😢 But he is on the mend and I am sure your song helped too ❤
Hey Wynand, Ren ended up having a meeting with the CEO of UA-cam, got the copyright strike removed and the original video back up. He is truly amazing. I wonder, who ended up paying The Bulgarian Choir their royalties? I have my thearies! Also, the fact that he could have sued and chose not to also speaks volumes towards his character. One more observation: I have MS, it is in the same Auto Immune family. It is a fact that stress, anxiety, and anger absolutely trigger symptoms of this condition. I love this video, but I know what it cost him to go through this ordeal, so, thank you again for creating your beautiful video that promoted positive healing vibes, truly beautiful and beneficial sir!❤❤
There is a reaction channel who found Ren, and this was their 1ST video they ever watched! They were confused and it was understandable. They went on to explore Ren after Renegades explained in comments that this was not a typical Ren. They are massive fans now, "The Dreadin' It Podcast".
Hear a lot of people making gollum / smeagol references....but for me this is more like Bruce Banner / Incredible Hulk. Banner learnt that you couldn't be your full self while keeping the beast locked within. You're stronger if you let the beast out once in a while. :)
Rens relapse prevented him from remaking Sick Boi I suspect he will only do so when he feels the energy is available autoimunity needs to be wisely handled
Ren made a post after this was released because a LOT of people felt the same way you did. He said the ONLY reason he used those terms, was because the easiest way to hurt a man is to go after his girl. It wasn't about actually being derogatory about her, per-say, but for the deepest stab to Kujo.
A conscientious reactor! Your high ground (like Ren's) is refreshing especially on this emotional violent vid; is a beautiful thing. It seemed you were walking on a tightrope through this; watching and balancing while feeling the strong gusts of emotion swirling around you. You expressed your feelings verbally (and with your unconscious physical expressions), well. The comments written afterwards were appreciated. When reviewing our completed piece be it written, videoed or in a spoken debate there is always something that was vital but not included that we wish was. Wonderful well informed intelligent reaction. You are quickly becoming the laid back Knox Hill of intelligent well rounded Ren vid reactions. And the more work you watch of Ren, the more you will understand him, his art, his followers, different ways to look at music, the deep, complex way his mind works and the how in touch Ren is with himself. Thank you for this wonderful reaction vid. 🧡
The choir dies exactly when he says he puts his whole soul into his work legally - referencing that the Bulgarian choir sample was not acquired by Kujo legally. And his reference to Dotta is to King Dotta, a YT rapper who writes diss tracks about rappers and reactors. He went back and forth with Knox Hill a few times and then did one about Ren called Kingdom Come. Ren made a very Ren response video called Dumb King Come. It’s funny and worth a listen.
Totally justified, and the language is no issue. Gf committed slander, libel, and fraud in her posts and is lucky he did not have her charged. They both were party to a literal extortion attempt. In the old days of Rap someone would have shown up at Kujobeats house with a gun. This is tame in comparison and less in every way than things you see on any streaming service in TV or Movies. The stress from this situation affected Rens health and helped lead to his health crisis as well - so F KB.
Before I press play I'm so hyped for this. I just watched your reaction to the long video from Ren on why Sickboi was down and I needed to see this asap lol. I was on holiday in Kefalonia with my mum when KBD was live, I left my mum at the restaurant to watch the premier with 21k other RENegades and it was the most hype thing I've witnessed on YT. I was laughing all the way through, I must've looked like a nutter standing there on the street laughing at an angry diss track lol. Enjoy!
I sample is the reason why the whole thing was so placed. He was the sample from the choir that cut all this in the play. And he probably already knew that it was gonna be a play. Cause he sounds like a scammer to me. Because ren later on. Did a song called money ties with another guy who produced that song and he was also got done by kujo. So kujo sounds like an internet scammer where he will sell you a beat and and he'll leave a piece in to where he can take it down to me. That's what it sounds like him and his girlfriend do it together because she's online promoting hate while he's over there talking to the lawyers. It's just an internet scam. He's a scammer, he probably. They got fired from beach stars.I wouldn't doubt if he didn't because ren had a meeting with the UA-cam people.May put his video back up.But the choir dying in this song is important because he represented that
Wrote that yesterday - no, Sick Boi is still the original version, Ren's health issues prevented him from proceeding with the new version so far. King Dotta, a rap battle. Dotta: ua-cam.com/video/ryepuWHLQlg/v-deo.html Ren's answer: ua-cam.com/video/gcVUnFisx_Q/v-deo.html Ren is very respectful towards women. Knowing that, you can really tell how much this person rubbed him the worst possible way, to make him use such a language (as himself, that is; of course there is a strong language in Tales, but it was Screech talking there, not Ren). Thank you for your reaction, Wynand. 💙
Ren, the reactors and the Renegades have restored my faith in humanity. Unfortunately, there are still some people like Kujo out there that just don't get it. I pray for those people.
Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade! Those two fully deserved that response, they went too far for weeks to extort money. So the b, c, f and s words are really minor matters in that specific situation, considering the actual threats k and his gf made against Ren. They had that musical slap coming, they just didn't know it would be a world whirlwind with Ren's invitation to the reaction community to react on the premiere NB Never play any strategy game against Ren😊
With regard to language, Ren stated after the drop that he chose to use the slur "c*nt" because it would be particularly hurtful if someone used it to refer to someone Ren cared about, so he used it to hurt Kujo. Since this was released, neither Kujo, nor his girlfriend have said anything public about the situation, and Ren's fans have largely respected Ren's wishes that they not be provoked into a Part 2. We love Ren's art, but aren't going to provoke anyone into charging under the bus to get it.
Loved your reaction! If I’d have just been watching your face & reactions, with no audio or video, I still would have know 100% which Ren “track” you were reacting to. He did warn ya in his explanation vid that this one “is angry” and he needed to get it out, so he got it out! And he did it superbly 🧨🤭 Shut that silly little rat down like a boss!
You’re an empath, take the time that you need to process. It’s important when things are so triggering. I’m glad you spoke so openly about being ready mentally and your process. It will help someone else know that it’s ok to need that space. 💛 Ren was totally savage….but after my first initial viewing during the drop, I was so happy that Ren just let it fly and released all the toxic emotions around Kujo and this situation. Ren is such a wonderful person. It was painful watching the video when he finally told the Renegades what was going on with Kujo’s extortion attempt. The lyrics (every one is an important reference for Ren.) Listen or read them and they reference so many things about the Sick Boi song and the entire Kujo situation. I get he used that word for Kujo’s Gf as shock value. He landed it. I Agree with you about the use of C you Next Tuesday. It’s really course. Some people use it (and F*ck) as part of their daily speech. Even in front of kids. It’s disgusting. Be better. As a woman, I can live without that being in any use and wish the use of the word would just die. Maybe I’m just showing my age. The choir was a brilliant touch, the strings and beat are so intense. The videography is awesome, and the production is amazing. This is way better than punching a pillow or throwing ice cubes into a bathtub (old school therapy suggestions to release anger) ….Ren’s mates and his team are awesome. I’m glad he got this out of his system. Dotta (not daughter) is a hip hop artist that started a Dis Battle with Ren. You’ll get to that super fun track soon! Love this journey with you down the rabbit hole, fellow Renegade. I hope you went and had some cocoa after this one…. It always hits hard, but knowing the backstory it also feels good and soul cleansing when I hear it too. Enjoy your vacation. 💛🐇🕳️☮️
You can see why the fan base is so pissed at him! I mean we love us some angry Ren, but not at the cost to his own health! Ren was just finishing treatment and should have been living the life instead he had to deal with this. Not good for the health. Thank god he did have a way to let it out! Hopefully the renlette wheel will have something a little lighter for you tomorrow! Like the hunger! Gah! Dying for you to see that one!
I think this song is a true testament to Ren's genius . He engages viewers so intensely and we react so viscerally. Compared to what we have been soaked in culturally for decades in movies, TV, music, art, advertising, and the harsh realities of life served up on the internet 24/7, how does he manage to illicit such a strong response with this? The language is common, the implications of violence so anodyne. Take a step back and look at it. I'm not belittling the issues of language usage, violence against women etc. Just noting his amazing talent at being evocative and provocative.
@wynandfouriemusic yea I don't think the lawyers helped this situation at all! I'm still baffled at the thought of turning down a collab with Ren. That's just WILD!!🤦♀️
I haven't really seen anyone make the connection on why Ren called Kujo's girlfriend a s--t. While normally I don't care for that word either, here it is used in a cleverly artistic way, as well as for the purpose of angering her and maybe planting the seed of doubt in Kujo's mind that if she is being two-faced with Ren, maybe she's being two-faced with him. It refers to the earlier line "see the needy and the greedy, they're just trying to fill a hole." He rhymed needy with greedy and referred to Kujo as a greedy person who is trying to fill an empty hole inside himself with money, and, well... Kujo's girlfriend is "Needy." She's trying to fill an empty hole, in a... well... different way.
I remember Renegades' anger towards Kujo, the comments on his Kujo IG. Even I wanted to write something to him myself, but I thought no, it wouldn't help, it didn't make sense, Ren will manage this. After the premiere of Kujo Beatdown, I felt relieved, I'm cool now, Ren has his revenge, I have nothing to add. I think many of us have felt this way. In the relationship with his girlfriend, I think that many women manipulate, insult and get over it just because they are women. You have to take responsibility for your actions. As for the song itself, some people listen to calm, relaxing music, the sound of wind, the sound of rain to calm down. Aggressive music calms me down, I can express my frustration with the artist, that's why this song is on my relaxing playlist. So thanks Kujo I have my relaxing song from Ren 😊 Always appreciate you ❤
I love it!! GOOOOOOO REN!!! I think it's important to remember that Ren has talked about one day having a series on Netflix and so I believe he is actually "practicing" and "rehearsing" for future work he will be doing. In real life I have a distaste for violence against anyone, but in art and dramatization I understand it!! I did the same in my own books and videos. Sometimes being brutally honest is absolutely necessary no matter how ugly it is. I love Ren for his ability to create and allow these things to come through his tracks and videos and not through some real life violent reaction that would land him in prison!! Many of the violent scenes Ren creates and portrays are similar to what I experienced growing up, the threat of being murdered, the reality of being abused in every way, it's never comfortable and it should never become comfortable. Torture and abuse are horrific to endure in real life.
I'm so glad you saw a good range of Ren before you saw this! The poor Dreadin' it Poscast guys picked the wrong entrance to the rabbit hole haha If the King Dotta dis track is in the Wheel you will find out what that reference means.
I love this. It's so intense and if you listen to Ren speaking about what happened then it's perfect and beautiful. Makes me wonder if the stress Ren was living through due to Kujo and his g/f contributed to his health issues he's going through now because he had been doing so well.
I think it's important to remember that although Sick Boi is back up on YT, Ren took it down from all streaming platforms and he is losing whatever revenue he would have made from those platforms. He also had to take it off the Sick Boi album which also cost him money to have new albums pressed and cd's made as well as the monetary loss for whatever Sick Boi media he had in stock with the song on them. Let's also not forget the attorney fees that were sucked up in this as well. He took a huge monetary and health hit from this . As far as I know this issue hasn't been fully resolved. Ren hasn't come out and publicly stated that it was. I've only ever heard him say that Kujo and the gf have been totally quiet. If someone has heard anything to the contrary, I'd be happy to be corrected.
Justin Hawkins did an awesome interview with Ren not long after Hi Ren came out almost 2 hours! Very interesting and he dropped a 12 minute video called "what's really wrong with Ren" in Ren's own words but the whole interview was very informative
Just watching it again made me think of the whole year, song releases, disses, album release and events around it.... and the wild craziness that ensued 😅. Unfortunately, this part caused Ren significant stress. (But it was spectacular!) I'm glad you mentioned about the slurs. They were hard for me to process as well, there's one word in particular that isn't commonly used in Canada (and I think, in the US), but is apparently more commonly used in the UK. I believe most of this language was related to their specific messages exchanged or kujo and gf's comments about each other. It's not clear, so I'm not writing it off, but in some cases knowing the context of the conversations might excuse it.
It’s so funny this was TDIP’s first introduction to Ren, right? Someone else may have mentioned this but he gave that 50/50 deal to another producer, @nayz, who was also screwed over by Kujo. It’s the song Money Ties.
The C word is the most offensive word in the American English, but somehow I wasn’t offended one bit. Bottom line is Ren needed away to get out the anger that he was feeling. If you watch his million subs video, he specifically talks about if you have bitterness in your heart, feel it be with it and then let it go. This was part of his letting go process. Kujo and his girlfriend earned what they got here. So I don’t feel bad at all for them.
While i agree generally with your view about the words he used toward the GF at the end, if you know all the back story about what she was up to too on social media- its easy to see why Ren was very mad at her as well - she wasnt just pulled in because she was Kujo's GF. And whilst i agree in principle with you, you also CANT let someone get away with everything just because they are a woman. That in itself is derogatory to all women- they are not feeble or simple minded humans who need special protection even from words - they can handle their own lives and problems and she deserved to be called out. Lets face it we know how positive Ren tries to be in all things- it took a lot of pushing to make him this mad.
@@judithpalmermoran4854Who knows what Kujo meant when he said “she likes it rough’…breaking one’s kneecaps could be a telling sign. Depends where your mind leads you…
@@judithpalmermoran4854 I get what you mean but i also get MAD. Ren was mad and seriously angry with them both- and when your angry you DO act and say more irrational things or things designed to hurt not well reasoned things. And They were big enough douche bags as to warrant his more irrational emotional attacks. Im sure Ren agrees with you too- most of the time- but he has no sympathy or consideration left for THEM.
I love it when a song sparks so much dialogue, and I appreciate you being true to yourself. This is my first comment on your videos though I've seen every one of your reactions because I usually watch on my phone where I'm not logged into UA-cam. I lived in Cape Town for 2 years 20 years ago in Walmer Estate, so I feel a bit of connection to you and love to hear you speak. Congratulations on the growth of your channel; it is well deserved!
I was really upset. Sic boi means a LOT to me so Kujo messed with me. A part of me. Then you adds the ongoing strife and someone casting shade on ren who had fought so hard and was so vulnerable on the song. It was a big deal to the ren community and to me personally. Heads up- ren has a some versions of himself where hope is not the winner…and cheers ❤. Cause I experienced this song through your eyes again and feel that adrenaline. Thank you 🙏. And… as a woman cheers to you being so respectful. And … I am still glad ren went there.
I love your song to, I enjoyed many times. There are so many layers to it. A masterpiece. There is one thing, nobody noticing, the ease you express with movements of your words. I suspect, you are "speaking" the deaf language and these moves were artistic. They were so smooth and in place.
Just to add - the King Dotta diss was done in fun, has lots of humor, and ends on a very wholesome Renesque note. I haven't seen pissed off Ren anywhere else.
Just taking a stab at interpreting the choir corpses - if the choir represents the stolen sample that caused the entire situation between Ren and Kujo, maybe the corpses represent Ren’s decision to kill the Sick Boi song entirely just to take his power back.
As for the "I went easy on the dotta", he meant his previous beef with King dotta. He was a smaller rapper, who was in the habit of starting beef with others to chase cloud. Dotta went after Knox Hill first (who responded twice), then went after Ren, who agreed to respond - "Dumb king come" was Ren's track (its fine, they’re came out of it as buddies, as far as I know) Others will definitely let you know the other titles of the "dotta-saga" 😉❤
Hey Wynand,
To respond to your invite to converse about Ren's dissing of the girlfriend, I've pasted my reply to one of your comentors, @MizCriz46:
Wonderful and well measured reply @MizCriz46, thank-you.
As a child born of the 60's I cringed at Ren's justified feelings towards the girlfriend.

In response to your concern regarding specific words and making their use taboo. I understand and in part agree with that, however in doing so we unintentionally increase their impact and consequence, so as in many things; it's complicated.
Regardless, enjoy!

Equal rights... Equal Bytes!
The attack from King Dotta on Ren and Knox Hill made Ren to answer with a video...one with a Ren twist
King Dotta did a diss track on Ren, to which he responded with his own diss track. You should react to both tracks in one reaction video. 👍❤
Mister, probably 70% of your follower/subscribers are Renegades, we probably watched every reactor-reacted to the Kujo beatdown diss and singalong to the lyrics and we did a fist pump and cheered on after he finished the song. You’re very late to the party (@3months)
One of the reason Ren had a relapse from his illness (that’s why you and the renegades made a beautiful song for him)
all the stress and anxiety it cause him , 2-3 swear words is nothing compared to the trouble Kujo contributed to Ren’s emotional distress!
The "F*ck it" literally heard around the world and a cheer followed. Hacked off Ren was indeed savage but still so dang eloquent. I think my favourite line is "I'm the subject matter you are part of the scenery" so gorgeously harsh. Great react 🙂

That is the absolutely amazing part about this man. After everything that Kujo did, Ren still believes he's worth some sympathy
Don't ever play Monopoly with Ren. Just ask Knox Hill😅
He is a fantastic strategic warrior. Ren is a boss
Also just a word abour the language...
Two references which you will come across later:
The moral of Jimmy putting his hand in the jar, you’ll come across that when you do Money Game Part 3.

The head slap at the end is chef’s kiss.
Agree 💯
He had a face to face with a main guy at UA-cam. The original was put back up. 🌸💕🐰💕🌸

After watching Ren's explanation video, that was CATHARTIC af wasn't it 🤣
I am happy that the anger and violence was expressed in this creative way rather than any a more real world way 1000%.
Yes yes yes 💜
Sending ❤️
One of my favorite parts is the choir once you hear what they're singing you can't unhear hear it 'didn't sell stolen beats or the choir being bled dry because kUJO beats stole their sample also like the flash of Ren being bound to the chair "imprisoned" representing Sick Boi being held due to the taking down of the song by UA-cam over all that is how I interpreted to this song and I loved it
Fantastic reaction and thank you for being someone who is not verbally or physically abusive to women. Blessed Be.
"I went easy on the Dotta,he's a friend it's zen....." was a rap battle he had with King Dotta last year, which ended with them becoming friends❤
Dotta just trying to catch the Ren train to propel himself. Even after Ren hyping him up his channel sub still lower than his calorie intake🤣🤣🤣

Oh Wynand, your face 😂. Wish you could have been there at the prem, it was electric ⚡️. Never felt that much hype over a new drop. Now you need to go off-wheel to watch the Dotta diss that he did, to get that reference 😁
I don’t think anyone will come at you, it’s understandable if you don’t like certain language and behaviours ❤.

Ren said he needed to let the anger out somehow and boy did he do just that 🔥
Ren made history! Our sick boi was wronged and the hype to see him release his anger was insane. Pretty sure there was like twice the amount of people in chat for the premiere than we’ve seen before and so many reactors heard his call for support ❤️
It’s interesting that the community is so passionate because of how genuinely nice Ren is, yet we all LOVE seeing this side of him 😂 Luckily they seem to have taken his warning and have kept quiet so Ren can hopefully move on from this.

And the more work you watch of Ren, the more you will understand him, his art, his followers, different ways to look at music, the deep, complex way his mind works and the how in touch Ren is with himself.
Thank you for this wonderful reaction vid. 🧡
I respect your stance and view. Thanks for standing up you beliefs and not bashing the art.
12:23 corpses represent the Bulgarian choir...pretty sure. Notice how the choir is in the background the whole video
Absolutely. After all, the were the original victims in all this - even before Ren got involved with Kujo Beats.
Enjoy!
Been waiting for this one 🤓💕 … glad you watched the whole story … sending love 🤗 x
ren place the cello drums piano wait till u see his composition pieces no rap no sun play straight piano its called mckay
They got fired from beach stars.I wouldn't doubt if he didn't because ren had a meeting with the UA-cam people.May put his video back up.But the choir dying in this song is important because he represented that
King dotrs and him had clout and did rap battles
Soiiler ren woñ the song is called dumb king dom
He talked to the bugarians and rights
Kujo has been silent and the girlfriend threatened to break Rens legs. Hence the language 🤗 great reaction😎
Wrote that yesterday - no, Sick Boi is still the original version, Ren's health issues prevented him from proceeding with the new version so far.
King Dotta, a rap battle.
Dotta: ua-cam.com/video/ryepuWHLQlg/v-deo.html
Ren's answer: ua-cam.com/video/gcVUnFisx_Q/v-deo.html
Ren is very respectful towards women. Knowing that, you can really tell how much this person rubbed him the worst possible way, to make him use such a language (as himself, that is; of course there is a strong language in Tales, but it was Screech talking there, not Ren).
Thank you for your reaction, Wynand. 💙
You have to watch Dreadin it podcast first reaction to this, their first ever experience of REN, no back story, hilarious
They had that musical slap coming, they just didn't know it would be a world whirlwind with Ren's invitation to the reaction community to react on the premiere
NB Never play any strategy game against Ren😊
With regard to language, Ren stated after the drop that he chose to use the slur "c*nt" because it would be particularly hurtful if someone used it to refer to someone Ren cared about, so he used it to hurt Kujo.
Since this was released, neither Kujo, nor his girlfriend have said anything public about the situation, and Ren's fans have largely respected Ren's wishes that they not be provoked into a Part 2. We love Ren's art, but aren't going to provoke anyone into charging under the bus to get it.
This choir is comprised of REN’s friends.
Shortly before recording this, Ren recorded a video with a live string Quartett. Could just be, that he got the string section from them. ❤
The srrings sound amazing, wouldn't be surprised if they are real!
@@wynandfouriemusic the choir in this is a plugin though. At least that's what Ren said in his Q&A on his patreon.
I never watched a video more in my life in 5 days I seen this hundreds of times I lost count
Ren: 🫒Let's collab and make lots of money and get my fans on your side!
Kujo: 🤡Naw, I'd rather be broke and hated and destroy my career!
Ren: 🔪🐷🪑💀
😂😂. All this could've been avoided if Kujo just listened to reason... I wonder how much influence Kujo's lawyer had in this
@wynandfouriemusic yea I don't think the lawyers helped this situation at all!
So thanks Kujo I have my relaxing song from Ren 😊
Always appreciate you ❤
The poor Dreadin' it Poscast guys picked the wrong entrance to the rabbit hole haha
If the King Dotta dis track is in the Wheel you will find out what that reference means.
I love this. It's so intense and if you listen to Ren speaking about what happened then it's perfect and beautiful. Makes me wonder if the stress Ren was living through due to Kujo and his g/f contributed to his health issues he's going through now because he had been doing so well.
I’m so glad you watched the explanation video first. I enjoyed your reaction. Peace.
Ooh yes the chapters, i love them, its a great way to learn about the guy
Wynand, it to late in the night for an intelligent comment, but here is one for your algorithms.
Respect bro
🙏❤️
I Think it was Awesome the way Ren handled this situation 😂
Just watching it again made me think of the whole year, song releases, disses, album release and events around it.... and the wild craziness that ensued 😅. Unfortunately, this part caused Ren significant stress. (But it was spectacular!)
I'm glad you mentioned about the slurs.
Yes, exactly, because Kujo also tried to rip off @nayz and almost drove him to ruin.
Same with me,VERY appropriate in Ren's unfortunate situation!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’m sure it was very cathartic for him 😊 this is how music heals❤
So glad you're going to watch Ren's chapters.
I was anxiously waiting for you to take a look at this 😊
i have been waiting to watch this after you watched his explanation video..
Ren is a Savage..😂
nice reaction ✌ from the uk.
I disliked the way he attacked her sexually and not for her behavior and actions. It was unworthy and a cheap shot.
@@elevown I understand. thanks for taking the time to respond so thoughtfully
@@Musiklife.9049 yes that was an extremely stupid thing for her to say. Her attempts at manipulation were sadly deficient
So the message is clear:
DO NOT FCK WITH REN
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT
you don't want him mad at you lol
I love it when a song sparks so much dialogue, and I appreciate you being true to yourself. This is my first comment on your videos though I've seen every one of your reactions because I usually watch on my phone where I'm not logged into UA-cam. I lived in Cape Town for 2 years 20 years ago in Walmer Estate, so I feel a bit of connection to you and love to hear you speak. Congratulations on the growth of your channel; it is well deserved!
Your a legend for what you have done for the renegades
@@davidburt8738 The Renegades are legends for what they have done for me🫡
I was really upset.
Thank you ❤
Just to add - the King Dotta diss was done in fun, has lots of humor, and ends on a very wholesome Renesque note. I haven't seen pissed off Ren anywhere else.
maybe in sick boi? but not to this extent, granted
Masochist is dark I guess. But love it
@@maddmd9171 me too
"I went easy on the Dotta..." That's a reference to "King Dotta Diss", another great video you need to check out. It's very funny.

Just taking a stab at interpreting the choir corpses - if the choir represents the stolen sample that caused the entire situation between Ren and Kujo, maybe the corpses represent Ren’s decision to kill the Sick Boi song entirely just to take his power back.
God I love me some raging Ren. Savage is the word, for sure. Also, Kujo seems to have disappeared. Has anyone else spotted him lately??
As for the "I went easy on the dotta", he meant his previous beef with King dotta.
He was a smaller rapper, who was in the habit of starting beef with others to chase cloud. Dotta went after Knox Hill first (who responded twice), then went after Ren, who agreed to respond - "Dumb king come" was Ren's track (its fine, they’re came out of it as buddies, as far as I know)
Others will definitely let you know the other titles of the "dotta-saga" 😉❤
Then he went after Black Pegasus,I'm not sure how that ended tho......
Wish I could hit the like button more than once!
