Ren enjoys body building and it was second to music even as a young teen. Always wanted to look like a greek statue. When he got really sick, of course he couldn't work our and was very thin. After his stem cell transplant, he found that staying fit and strong reduced inflammation in his body and was in the gym 3 x a week. He has almost no body fat because of his restricted diet. Just recently added rice so jokes"Fat Ren incoming" He would totally own Fat Ren if he could ever eat that much. I imagine he is in a constant state of hunger. Beautiful 8 pack though. The pedestrian at the end called the cops. When he described what he saw (someone being chloroformed and thrown in a car by someone in a pig mask, all being filmed), the cops laughed and said it was probably just Ren. Joe,(yt - Flackerzfotos) who is the victim, shows up in *Animal Flow as the prisoner near the start. Yes, I always thought it was a hidden cut. Others have pointed out the white car parked indicates another cut since it was not there when they pulled up. I hated rap with a passion, but will listen to Ren rap all day, every day. He puts so much inflection into his words and his rap is almost melodious. No hidden message in the number plate, just mate's car.

Not sure if it's true, but I heard that Ren notified the Brighton police (who are very familiar with Ren) of the location and details of his shoot because he was stuffing someone in a car boot, so the police response to the bystander call was "Ren is shooting a video there." It maybe apocryphal however, because how would word of the call get back to Ren, unless the police told him someone had in fact called to report him. I also heard this story when the song came out but I can't remember where.

According to Luke the cameraman, he did in fact back up through the window after much practice, and there is no cut coming outside, but there are cuts going in and out of the car window which were so difficult that he drove everyone crazy making them do it again and again. He laughed at the idea that he was handing the camera off to another cameraman at points. His quote: "We never have enough money for a second cameraman." They certainly do now.

They told him not to worry, that’ll be Ren 😂 EDIT: about the shape he’s in. He’s got an extremely low body fat content due to his restricted diet on account of his condition. And he has to keep his body as strong as possible to help fight his Frankenstein autoimmune system. It’s like he’s the ultimate expression of Ying & Yang in human form: mentally and physically strong on the outside, allowing him to achieve anything he wants; psychologically and physically damaged on the inside.

The Ren team of friends include Brigita, Kai, Conner, Samual Perry-Falvey, Josh, Joe Flackers, and Vitus. Joe Flackers is the man kidnapped in Murderer, and held prisoner in Animal Flow. Though few ever notice him. They are a mix and match crew that work with, fuss over, and keep Ren as happy and healthy as possible. I am sure I am leaving 1 or more out, but there are many that come and go as needed and desired. No hatchling has ever had so many attentive mother-hens. Ren is also mother-hen to them. Its a collected family.

Stumbled across Ren a couple of years ago and found I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Of course his backstory made all that he’s done more interesting too. So Ren is a body builder. He has no fat on his body because his food allergies force him to have a restricted 'paleo' diet with no grains. Just because he has well developed muscles doesn't mean he looks healthy. His face is way too skinny and sunken with no fat on it. If you go back 4-5 years, he had a fuller face and looked much younger.
In my country we have a saying "Whoever has nails plays the guitar"... Well, I'm very pleased to see you applying your skills to Ren's music... and how well you applied them. I loved. You certainly have them!...

That was his and Romaines apt in Brighton. The only cuts were going into and out of the car. There was just one cameraman and a guide with the music for him.
When this dropped I was like.. okay.. I like Rap!!! LOL.. I'm not a big fan of rap only because I never got introduced to it. I grew up in the late 60's-70's in the USA and the tunes I grew up on that had tons of airplay were rock, rhythm and blues and folk music, anything from The Beatles "Hey Jude" to "The Morning After" by Maureen McGovern to Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Gladys Knight and The Pips, "California Dreamin'" by the Mamas and the Papas, I was really a hippy child. In my teens I was a metal head, Ozzy fan, Metallica and Motley Crue, then towards my mid 20's became a fan of grunge, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, RHCP etc. Listening to Ren has really opened my musical ears to Rap Ren style and I love it! I also really like the Native American rapper @Supaman (Christian Takes Gun Parrish). His tracks called "Why" and "Somewhere", "Know Better, Do Better", "Godzilla" are phenomenal. You asked about the meaning of the license plate J20HAX. I don’t know if it was a coincidence but this song dropped on July 20. HAX has several meanings weirdly enough they all fit the song. Nice to have you back Wynand! This is one of my favourites. I'm one of the few that prefer this version to the acoustic. I've never owned any, but my first exposure to Rap was the really early stuff, like Grand Master Flash, which I quite liked because it had something to say, but I think it lost it's mind sometime in the late 80's or 90s. It became all about $$$ and macho. Anyway, Ren has made it interesting again for me, and I like listening to his version of it.

When ever you do branch out to other artists,have you heard of Lola Young ? My daughter introduced me to her over the break . Since finding Ren I've found it hard to get into anyone else but this girls got something, Messy is my fave from her. But. I'm still loving the wheel💙🇬🇧

Hey Wynand! Glad you finally got to this one! Murderer is one of my favorite 'fun Ren' songs and definitely a hard banger! Certainly worthy of radio air time, if radio stopped trying to be so damned PC and rated PG. Murderer is an entirely original Ren piece, meaning there is no one else who helped in the editing, production, filming, writing, and composing except for himself and his team. Very simple video, recorded in the same building and street that Ren was living in with his buddies before he went to Calgary for his first round of treatments. The guy he kidnaps at the end of the video is a friend of Ren's, however the gentleman crossing the street on the right side of the video that seems oblivious... he's just a random stranger and had no idea that a video was being filmed. The entire video was filmed by Luke Flegg, one of Ren's friends, and there are official three cuts: when he exits the building into the street, the first transition INTO the car, then the second transition OUT of the car. Otherwise, it is all a one shot video, just not one take. Just a side affectation of one of his lines: "your daughter's home, we'll be staying home alone; condone the bone and eat it like a toblerone, bitch" is actually a line about screwing around with a person's daughter. Definitely a part of Ren's cheekiness and loving to drop really abrasive but so on point sexual innuendo into a piece. It can often go over people's heads because it happens SO quickly and most people just hear the Toblerone portion most. I do love the line: "I walk alone, sit on the authors throne; And if you want it, I'll deny it like a mortgage loan" This is so damn cheeky and so true. This is also, impo, a reference to an earlier song he had released called 'Crucify Your Culture' where he says: "Slavery through debt, you think that mortgage is to help you?" There is a clear inspiration of the song 'Murderer', a reggae track by Barrington Levy. The entire piece is simultaneously a comment on the prevalence of violence in society, particularly western forms of media expression, and his own ability to fling bars. So it's definitely a commentary piece as much as it is just a flex. Much peace and love to you my friend! ^^

Somewhere on Joe E Sparks (ua-cam.com/video/rZqNBaISaXQ/v-deo.html) comments, Luke Flagg said this: so we actually had to hide a cut going in and out of the car because it was just me on camera and also shooting in a moving car with really specific camera movements and focus..I didn't know anyone who could do it the way I wanted, so I just had to end the first shot be leaning as far into the car as I could with the camera. Then cut and open the door, sit in the car. Then hold camera out of the car window as far as I can and record as I bring it in again, starting the next shot. Hardest thing was to 99% match the overlapping shots in that moment it goes through the window: angle, composition, etc. So there's a freeze frame where the inside of the car is a different shot to the outside of the car. BLOOPER ALERT: Did you notice at (5:51) the last car on the right is a dark colored car, then after the camera comes out the window there is a white car there. Velcome back! 🤗 Ren said, exercising decreases his joint and -muscel pain and also helps him stay focused regarding to his ADHD, and he tryes to do so three times a week, but that it's not always possibel due to his condition. His non-excisting bodyfat is the result of his extremly restriceted diet due to his MCAS for like 9+ years; - and I guess he also like most of us is a bit vain...😉

Suggestion for other artist who have realy great fandom as well: Aurora, totaly different style but IMO soul sister to Ren as both are creative, go their own way and not afraid of deep subject, any song realy, but her blo up was Runaway- OMV or live from 2015 Nobel Piece concert. So Ren is a body builder. He has no fat on his body because his food allergies force him to have a restricted 'paleo' diet with no grains. Just because he has well developed muscles doesn't mean he looks healthy. His face is way too skinny and sunken with no fat on it. If you go back 4-5 years, he had a fuller face and looked much younger.
In my country we have a saying "Whoever has nails plays the guitar"... Well, I'm very pleased to see you applying your skills to Ren's music... and how well you applied them. I loved. You certainly have them!...

When this dropped I was like.. okay.. I like Rap!!! LOL.. I'm not a big fan of rap only because I never got introduced to it. I grew up in the late 60's-70's in the USA and the tunes I grew up on that had tons of airplay were rock, rhythm and blues and folk music, anything from The Beatles "Hey Jude" to "The Morning After" by Maureen McGovern to Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Gladys Knight and The Pips, "California Dreamin'" by the Mamas and the Papas, I was really a hippy child. In my teens I was a metal head, Ozzy fan, Metallica and Motley Crue, then towards my mid 20's became a fan of grunge, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, RHCP etc. Listening to Ren has really opened my musical ears to Rap Ren style and I love it! I also really like the Native American rapper @Supaman (Christian Takes Gun Parrish). His tracks called "Why" and "Somewhere", "Know Better, Do Better", "Godzilla" are phenomenal. I also like Emcee One's "Long Live Love" video here on YT. Thanks Wynand for an awesome reaction video!!
You asked about the meaning of the license plate J20HAX. I don’t know if it was a coincidence but this song dropped on July 20. HAX has several meanings weirdly enough they all fit the song. Nice to have you back Wynand! This is one of my favourites. I'm one of the few that prefer this version to the acoustic. I've never owned any, but my first exposure to Rap was the really early stuff, like Grand Master Flash, which I quite liked because it had something to say, but I think it lost it's mind sometime in the late 80's or 90s. It became all about $$$ and macho. Anyway, Ren has made it interesting again for me, and I like listening to his version of it.

Glad you finally got to this one! Murderer is one of my favorite 'fun Ren' songs and definitely a hard banger! Certainly worthy of radio air time, if radio stopped trying to be so damned PC and rated PG.
Murderer is an entirely original Ren piece, meaning there is no one else who helped in the editing, production, filming, writing, and composing except for himself and his team.
Very simple video, recorded in the same building and street that Ren was living in with his buddies before he went to Calgary for his first round of treatments.
The guy he kidnaps at the end of the video is a friend of Ren's, however the gentleman crossing the street on the right side of the video that seems oblivious... he's just a random stranger and had no idea that a video was being filmed.
The entire video was filmed by Luke Flegg, one of Ren's friends, and there are official three cuts: when he exits the building into the street, the first transition INTO the car, then the second transition OUT of the car. Otherwise, it is all a one shot video, just not one take.
Just a side affectation of one of his lines: "your daughter's home, we'll be staying home alone; condone the bone and eat it like a toblerone, bitch" is actually a line about screwing around with a person's daughter. Definitely a part of Ren's cheekiness and loving to drop really abrasive but so on point sexual innuendo into a piece. It can often go over people's heads because it happens SO quickly and most people just hear the Toblerone portion most.
I do love the line: "I walk alone, sit on the authors throne; And if you want it, I'll deny it like a mortgage loan" This is so damn cheeky and so true. This is also, impo, a reference to an earlier song he had released called 'Crucify Your Culture' where he says: "Slavery through debt, you think that mortgage is to help you?"
There is a clear inspiration of the song 'Murderer', a reggae track by Barrington Levy.
The entire piece is simultaneously a comment on the prevalence of violence in society, particularly western forms of media expression, and his own ability to fling bars. So it's definitely a commentary piece as much as it is just a flex.

Then cut and open the door, sit in the car. Then hold camera out of the car window as far as I can and record as I bring it in again, starting the next shot. Hardest thing was to 99% match the overlapping shots in that moment it goes through the window: angle, composition, etc. So there's a freeze frame where the inside of the car is a different shot to the outside of the car.

Ren said, exercising decreases his joint and -muscel pain and also helps him stay focused regarding to his ADHD, and he tryes to do so three times a week, but that it's not always possibel due to his condition.
His non-excisting bodyfat is the result of his extremly restriceted diet due to his MCAS for like 9+ years; - and I guess he also like most of us is a bit vain...😉
And yes, this is Ren (and Romains) home in Brighton before he left for Canada.

Suggestion for other artist who have realy great fandom as well: Aurora, totaly different style but IMO soul sister to Ren as both are creative, go their own way and not afraid of deep subject, any song realy, but her blo up was Runaway- OMV or live from 2015 Nobel Piece concert. The other is a rock band, 3 sister from Mexico -The Warning-, real rock as many would say ''like old days with a new smile'' they are realy at best live even if their OMV are good, a good start would be Evolve at MTV 2023.

About Ren's body, not to take anything from his hard work to be fit, his illness is a bit respossible as he hardely bilt more then 3% of fat in his body wich give that deep definition of his muscle, just like some body bilder who starve just befor a comptetion.... nice look but not that fun for him ;-)
