    Dear Jack:
I noticed you have some scuds in this tank (order: Amphipoda; family Gammaridae; genus: Gammarus). I’ve heard they are a superb food for small fish and are easily cultured. I tried some “freeze-dried gammarus” once, but none of my fish would eat them. I suppose my Columbian tetra and perhaps my Betta splendens would consume live gammarus. I’ve considered culturing them, but wonder if I’d regret trying. I culture daphnia and blackworms, but, adding scuds to these cultures might not work out.
    What do you think?
This was a very interesting video you started with.
    Keep it up.
    All my best,
    Sincerely,
    E. J. Brinegar

Yeah. I have scuds. If I can ever catch them, I do feed them to other fish. I also feed my fish lots of brine shrimp except my betta. He won't touch them. This is why I was intrigued about black worms. I have been feeding my betta pellets and freeze dried blood worms and he likes them okay, but I would like a live food source to give him if I can. I'm speaking of my betta, I just posted another video. I hope you like it.

      Dear Jack:
Although my Betta splendens will eat Daphnia magna, she isn’t crazy about them. They are mostly water. She loves blackworms, but only gets them about once a week, as they are high in fat. I’d like to culture scuds, but from what you’ve said, bettas are probably too slow to catch them. My Columbian tetra would have no trouble catching tiny, fast anthropods. I could slow them down by zapping them in the microwave, but I hate to do something so cruel. I don’t mind doing it to mosquito larva, which I culture, incidentally, in warm weather (in the green water cultures, behind my house). I culture green water for the Daphnia magna.

Hey folks, this is just a short video. I plan to have more content to come. Please like and subscribe. By the way, the snail cookie was from Crayfish Empire. Shrimp and mystery snails love it.
