Pretty rad that Ravien and Vermillion are keeping these old POIs updated so they don't get lost to time. I never thought after 4+ years people would still be enjoying my POI
Been waiting to see someone run this updated version. My buddies and I gave up on it right after encountering the elevator you ended at. That turret was a beast. So many deaths. Then once we used an invul shield to kill it, something invisible kept attacking and killing us. Got frustrated and just left. Maybe you'll have better luck and not have the invisible insta-death creature.
BP has been redone. Old core is fake, doesnt work anymore. Over half of the ultra rare containers have been removed (there used to be 13, now I thinks it has 5 or 6 tops). Also many of the very rares and rares are gone, or turned into regulars. I'd say 60% of the loot has been removed compared to the old version. It's still cheese-able, but it takes about 300 rail gun ammo to open a whole to the new core location and disable it. Spanj as always delivering quality EGS content! Great work mate.
This comment is correct @spanj The new admin core is hidden on the 2nd to last floor. You actually can't get access to the top area you were in normally as there is a block that can't be removed under normal means blocking the way that says something like "area under construction" - without blowing holes in the top of it the way you did. I brought this to Raviens attention a few months ago shortly after the patch dropped but he either actually didn't know about this or feigned ignorance. There is still good loot but not as much as there was before.
@@warzIbanez no it doesnt. its now pointless to do the black pyramid. the time, ammo, and effort is no longer even close to being worth the loot you get. you might as well fight a Xenuan carrier since it has about the same amount of ultra rare containers
@@narcosis1507 yeah, looking further into the POI now it's not worth the time and resources now. It is the rationale that because it has been "figured out" that these POIs either get made harder or their loot is nerfed.
it's not fake persey is just many of them way i understand. good eg is the purple special event ship. forget the name of it. it has like 6 cores lol. what a beast
@@rabbidninja79 no, an actual core. the creators of the mod can override the cores to have more than one. extenders add or subtract from your cpu, they can't act as independent cores. eg, if you make a ship with extenders and i only blowup the core, the extenders won't keep the ship going. admittedly not know exactly what they did but they are cores. cheers
Sector Command still the hardest. But yeah this one is murderers row. I cheese it in SP fighting through the crowd at the top floor, cause otherwise without a team it takes FOREVER to finish lol. Last time I tried, I wore out 3 heavy armors.
Just started watching, but I do believe . . . "certain" individuals have moved the core in the pyramid. May have even left a dummy one in the old location? Too much cheese from players. Edit: Bwahaha! Yep. They know you SO well!
Very nice intro. I was really expecting Wash to pop up playing with his Dinosaurs (ark nod) or Mal yelling about the primary buffer panel falling off again!
@spanj - If it is safe outside for your ships why not have the Corvas on one side and the Orca on the other side so you would always be in range of a ship?
5:05 fun fact about he combat droids: they cannot shoot you up close. all you have to do is get in their personal space and plug away with your pistol.
WOW so they finally got sick of players cheesing the Black Pyramid, eh? Well it's their fault, we wouldn't cheese it if they didn't make it borderline impossible and crammed with loot! :D
The last Reforged Eden update has ruined everything I found fun about Empyrion. There are now 2 cores in the Black Pyramid and it’s no longer the great loot piñata.
Did that one in a recent playthrough and I will never touch it again. Ravien removing the cheese dont bother me, but he did it in a hurry and just pasted concrete blocks in hallways and added blast doors in really ugly locations. He really did a poor job and he removed at least two third of the loot, not even bothering changing textures of the boxes which is just a slap in the face for how much time you have to invest to clear this place the intended way.
Ravien and Vermillion are sneaking guys. lol. they change quite a few cores on pois. love it. good vid as usual. cheers PS: got a link for that Orca SV ? not in your ships and can't find it when searched for it. cheers
16:36 or you could just read the sign next to the door 😆 I'll reserve final judgement until after I see the complete run, but I'm afraid Ravien has over-nerfed this POI 🙄 I don't mind the cheese removal, it was long overdue 😂 but he does have a bad habit of increasing difficulty, while reducing loot as well so the resulting fight is much more difficult, but rewards much less than vanilla. I guess I'll wait to see how much you make off with when you finish this run though. Good luck!
There is always a way to cheese a poi as long as you know the exact location of the core. There is an interesting mechanic in the vanilla game where if you clip a mini gun turret through a wall directly in line with the core, it will ignore all blocks in between, as long as the is no blank space between the gun and the core.
Pretty rad that Ravien and Vermillion are keeping these old POIs updated so they don't get lost to time. I never thought after 4+ years people would still be enjoying my POI
The fact that it’s a ship and a ring teleported, I got a kick out of the stargate pun. I ran it for the first time last night and I enjoyed it.
Love the music selection for the episode. The pyramid looks like a challenge. Why do I foresee it being changed again in the future.
it is quite the slog.
Just have to say how much I enjoyed the banjo intro. Such nice mellow mountain music before all hell breaks loose.
Gave me major Cowboy Bebop vibes

Kinda makes sense that they would tone down the loot with all the videos out there about the POI.

Should have played 'Journey of the Sorcerer' at the beginning.
👍👍

No more easy cheesy way to clear Black Pyramid heh.
Looks like i will skip your video this time, gonna try this POI myself first.
dont like the new black pyramide
nice opening...did they move the core? Glad to see they fixed that cheese.
Never seen anyone run this before - wow, it's frantic in there - thank god you had the ion blaster to clear the sentries.
Poor Spanj... has to run it the hard way now... :)
Hmmm….and to where did they put the REAL core?
All new updated Black Piramid. No more cheese now)
Very nice intro. I was really expecting Wash to pop up playing with his Dinosaurs (ark nod) or Mal yelling about the primary buffer panel falling off again!
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Yes! Good stuff...
Ohhh fake core?!?!?! thats just DIRTY!!
Spanj, they knew you were come and had to make it as difficult as possible. Thanks for the video and have a fantastic week.
Wow
Enter Lock code, blah blah blah, ignoring the fact it said the lock code on it....
pfff
Blast it!
That last combat android in the hangar you missed at 33:45 he was at the bottom of your screen.
Potentially the most lucrative, but also the most rage inducing
Was hard until i learned the place of the core then its just a hard part to find space for al loot :D
5:05 fun fact about he combat droids: they cannot shoot you up close. all you have to do is get in their personal space and plug away with your pistol.
Strong Serenity vibes from the intro after the jailbreak. Love it.
I know this may seem silly to some but how do POI's have so many sentry gun's when I can only have eight when I build a Base ?
Turn off block restrictions and you can have that many too :)
Is everyone just going to ignore the fact that Spanj shot the civilian in the menagery?😢
So which intergalactic court will try him?
Intensely good fun, thanks Spanj!
wow, that was epic
Great video Spanj

uuuh finally an Empyrion video again- Thank you very much.
