I know from my Honda VFR, even if something is wrong with it, it will still take me where I need to get to. I am amazed at how much Europeans pay for things that can be bought 5-10 times cheaper. Heated into a jacket I sewed myself, it cost me $10, heated handles cost me $8. Gasoline costs in Europe is monstrous))) Good luck Marc!
Excellent video Marc. The Japanese Honda, continues to give work, I had no doubt. In terms of fuel, my Suzuki (DRZ400S) also has fuel consumption differences if I refuel it when the motorcycle stands for several days or at the end of a long distance of riding . It's clear to me that some of the fuel evaporates, these are carburetor motorcycles. Berlin is approaching and everything looks according to plan. On the occasion when you will arrive to Berlin, I will try to use your guide you if it's okay ,about the Portuguese ACT track. Enjoy in the meantime !!
I've been looking up this bike and a couple of sites say the fuel capacity is 16 litres. 🤷♂️ Also, apparently, a known problem with the engine is overheating, which can cause the valves seats to drop producing a clunking sound and increased oil consumption. Appreciate your back in Berlin now and may be all sorted out, so I look forward to finding out what was the problem. 👍
your correct Marc, i think most people get caught up with paying top dollar for gear and not always get value for money , good to see the honda is still going strong , good price for a hot hotel after a long cold day in a the saddle . cheers for the vid . 🤟

Had been riding at low temps and my textile gear offered removable thermal underlayer for both pants and jacket. With that the cold was bearable even after over 5 hours of riding. My bike was slipping and sliding from ice and snow on the road in the morning but I was ok. And yes the heated grips ordered from new as optional extra were a godsent.
@@MarcTravels i knew, when I ordered my bike and spend the money, that I just had to have those grips installed. Even as a new rider (as this is my very first bike). And so glad I did that. There is not a worse thing than having your hands stiff from the cold and not being able to operate the controls anymore. 😉
@@MarcTravels great ! Am very happy with mine (Triumph Street Triple) and plan on having many great trips on it without breaking the bank. Hi marc ,Great vlog keep them coming . Your still having a good time riding everyday and the bike is still going strong on your Honda (whatelse). Iv,e stayed in Premier class all over Europe there clean and cheap ,what else do you need . Ride safe ......
I’ve riden bikes for over 30 years and my current is the first one with heated grips. Really nice. Great tip on the vest. Will check that out, but will 🙏 for more warm weather soon. Are you in a rush Marc? Really pushing for so many kilometers in one day.
Hi Marc, did I notice that your heated vest ran off it's own power pack and not plugged into the bike, that's pretty neat I like it, great vid all the time getting closer to Berlin, keep going.👍👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧🇩🇪
Yes I just plugged it in my Anker Powerbank. That way I’m not wired to the bike, feels always weird.😁 worked pretty good 👍🏼 thanks for watching mate 🤙🏼
Do you worry about the bike overnight and what do you try to do to prevent theft? I’m always worried about mine on trips when I’m not camping next to it.
I also have a cheap heated gillet that uses a powerbank, but it's nothing compared to my plug in Exo2 heated vest that I bought from eBay for £60, as a Keiss heated vest is about £140 including the controller. I also have Keiss heated insoles and wouldn't be without them during winter, like wearing a pair of slippers.
Got the same vests. As long as the akku pack is good they are great. Haven't tried mine on the bike yet though. Can help you out with a decent w-shop to fix your engine in if you want when your back in Berlin. Safe drive !

even fully empty i never put in over 12L in 40.000km all over europe and iceland. thats why it was confusing for me, cause i wasn't even in reserve yet. those numbers at the gas station can't be right. thanks for letting me know and for watching. cheers🤙🏼
You always hear strange noises when traveling not close to home. As for the difference in that amount pumped, their pumps may be off (accidentally or on purpose). Contact the corporate headquarters (Exxon?) and explain. Also, looks like you’re in Bourg (France).
@@MarcTravels - it’s happened to me (in the distant past). Shows up more so when you’re on a motorcycle. Usually you can go to the corpora website and send a complaint (with the info). Much easier than in the old days. Sometimes they even thank you for pointing this out. Good luck on the remainder of the trip!
Hi, checked it again, and you are right ( maybe) .the newer models have the 16 liter tank but your model should have a 13 liter tank according specs on the net.

It’s either original music that I produce myself or UA-cam library. Check at the bottom of the description for credits. Glad you like the music. Cheers 🤙🏼
It's not unprecedented to experience expanding of a plastic fuel tank over time (especially the ones with a larger fuel capacity - and thinner walls) but a metallic one? I too suspect the pump meter for the weird discrepancy.
Cooles Abenteuer. :-)
Hallo Marc, I ordered one of those wests as well and was really disappointed. Didn't feel warm at all. Then I did a bit of calculation: From USB you get 1.5A maximum multilplied with 5V Voltage equals a heating power of mere 7.5W!!! And this for the entire surface of the vest (IF it would heat the entire surface, what it doesn't - despite the nice chinese sketches with red wires overall the place). I'm pretty sure either the added fabric layer of the vest or wishful thinking (warme Gedanken) kept you warm. These vests are crap. I installed heated mats normally used for carseats into my jacket then. 50W power, feels like sunshine. Cheers! Safe trip home.

Great video Mate, Take Care, Toughy. Australia..
Thanks mate 🤙🏼
Hi marc ,Great vlog keep them coming . Your still having a good time riding everyday and the bike is still going strong on your Honda (whatelse).
Iv,e stayed in Premier class all over Europe there clean and cheap ,what else do you need . Ride safe ......
Yes I was very happy with this room. Very clean too👍🏼 thanks for watching Ian 🤗
You're awesome bro ❤️❤️ lot's of love from India 🙏
Thanks mate 🤙🏼
I’ve riden bikes for over 30 years and my current is the first one with heated grips. Really nice. Great tip on the vest. Will check that out, but will 🙏 for more warm weather soon. Are you in a rush Marc? Really pushing for so many kilometers in one day.
Yes I kinda wanna get her home in a shop to get the engine looked at, also there is snow in the forecast 😁❄️thanks for watching mate 🤙🏼
hi...you working very hard.....take more rest......
Yeah I will loosen the schedule a bit next Journey 🤗 thanks for watching mate 🤙🏼
I put the cover own, have a lock 🔒 and a gps tracker. That’s about all I can do🤗 cheers mate
GoMarc ,Go Honda👍
Yes 💪🏼
I also have a cheap heated gillet that uses a powerbank, but it's nothing compared to my plug in Exo2 heated vest that I bought from eBay for £60, as a Keiss heated vest is about £140 including the controller.
I also have Keiss heated insoles and wouldn't be without them during winter, like wearing a pair of slippers.
Keiss is a really good brand I heard as well. Thanks for sharing 🤗
Warm room and a hot pizza, what more do you need at the end of a good day's ride..
True 💯
This is things what biker need on end of day.
Got the same vests. As long as the akku pack is good they are great. Haven't tried mine on the bike yet though. Can help you out with a decent w-shop to fix your engine in if you want when your back in Berlin. Safe drive !
Thanks mate, I got your email today🤗 will let you know if I can make it to meet up before the next journey 🤙🏼 thanks for the offer, really appreciate it👍🏼 cheers
What a fantastic news it is! We still have good people in this world!

ojojoj, why don't I see the yamaha XTZ750 between the list of adventure bikes you like 😂 :P.
Nice video again! I always look forward to the videos. What heated vest did you buy? sounds like a good deal.
Hey Mike, unfortunately it’s not available anymore but there’s so many cheap vests on eBay, I bet they’re all the same🤗 thanks for turning in my friend 🤙🏼
Pizza is always a great idea after a long ride 😁 Enjoy the rest of the trip & safe travels! 🤘
Yes I love pizza 🍕🤩
Hope you got your pizza Marc. Right now it is 5:00pm here, and I am without a shirt. I can go outside comfortably...........Sorry !
Hope you sleep well. Regards.

That’s awesome ☀️ thanks for watching mate 🤙🏼
I would love to do an adventure like yours, amazing! Good Luck for your adventure, subscribed ;)
Thanks mate, welcome to the channel 🤗🤙🏼
Like the intro with you packing up things to the bike.....looks like your trade marks d..
Thanks mate 🤗 me too 🤙🏼
FYI: size of your tank is depending on the build year. Til 92 it was 13l and from 92 it contains 16l ... but not 12
even fully empty i never put in over 12L in 40.000km all over europe and iceland. thats why it was confusing for me, cause i wasn't even in reserve yet. those numbers at the gas station can't be right. thanks for letting me know and for watching. cheers🤙🏼
@@MarcTravels sure. All stations are checked and certified regularly. But you never know....
@@moto-shed yeah first time I noticed something like that. 🤷🏼♂️ Thanks for commenting mate🤙🏼
You always hear strange noises when traveling not close to home.
As for the difference in that amount pumped, their pumps may be off (accidentally or on purpose). Contact the corporate headquarters (Exxon?) and explain.
Also, looks like you’re in Bourg (France).
Yeah that’s not really worth the effort I think😁 but I found it very strange;) thanks for watching David 🤙🏼
Hi Marc, you don't have a 12 liter tank but a 16 liter tank.... keep on going.
Nope I have not, it’s 12 L for sure🤗 thanks for watching my friend 🤙🏼
Hi, checked it again, and you are right ( maybe) .the newer models have the 16 liter tank but your model should have a 13 liter tank according specs on the net.
@@xrvtuur In 40.000km and even fully empty (like in Iceland when I ran out of gas😅) I never put in more than 12L. That’s why I’m sure;) but now I know the newer models have 16. Thanks mate 🤙🏼
Get down early for breakfast, when I stayed there they ran out and had no more food.
Okay thanks for the tip mate 🤙🏼 cheers
What a work do you have to make your videos! But they are great! You bought the bodywarmer for 15 euros on e bay? Thats cheap.but its worth all the money.we waiting for the new video on sunday.take care !
Thanks, glad you like the videos🤗 have a great day 🤙🏼
Hello 🙋 really cold... January 😁
I must see also for a heated vest. 💪😎 Good ideea!
Great video. 🎥
Yes go for it! My vest was just 15€ 👌🏼 thanks for watching mate 🤙🏼
@@MarcTravels 😁🤝
It’s my City !! You sleep at 5 km to my home ..
👍👍
Hehe awesome 👍🏼 thanks for watching mate 🤙🏼
I never used a heated vest. My jacket came with another layer and I'd put on my rain jacket. I never really did anything about my feet other than layers. My grandmother put money in one of her shoes.
Oh that’s sounds like a secret tip from your grandma. I will try it out 💪🏼 thanks mate
i have too this hot body system not try yet how long time keep working ???with this smol batery??maybe 50 minits?? you know?? you chek??till end batery
It last several hours always depending on the amp hours of your battery 🤙🏼
Ciao Marc ..... Poca spesa ... Massima resa Complimenti
Yes 🙌🏼 that was a good deal 💪🏼 thanks for watching davide my friend 🤙🏼

How was yours pizza 🍕Bro? As far as I remember during trip pizza taste 👌 best. Also I agree that heated vest is axcelent, I use one and heated gloves as well, nice feeling. Keep going bro, finger's cross 🤞🏍
Will do 💪🏼 pizza is the best 🍕
Great video...again 😁👍
Thanks Raimo 🤙🏼
Hi man good morning fantastic vilog I'm old man your vilog make me young to see the bueaty of Pakistan northern area on the bike.
Awesome 🤩 thanks for watching mate 🤙🏼
About the "funny" fuel meter at the gas station: did you happen to see if at the start it read zero?
I didn’t check that really, since I never noticed any differences. But I never put in more than 12L in over 40.000km tho, that’s why it was so weird 😅
Hallo, whats that for music theme in the videos , like the sound Nice trip , greetings Andreas
It’s either original music that I produce myself or UA-cam library. Check at the bottom of the description for credits. Glad you like the music. Cheers 🤙🏼
Combien de km au compteur? Merci j’aime beaucoup tes vidéos
86.000km now. Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Great video ride safe
Will do 💪🏼🤗
This is amazing! How many miles have you done on this bike?
I have done like 32.000miles in 3 years now. Thanks for watching 🤗🤙🏼
It's not unprecedented to experience expanding of a plastic fuel tank over time (especially the ones with a larger fuel capacity - and thinner walls) but a metallic one? I too suspect the pump meter for the weird discrepancy.
Yes I think so too, that never happened before. Cheers mate 🤙🏼
Yes no worries 🤗🎬
Sorry if I've missed it but have you a link to the vest ???
No I can’t find it anymore. Any cheap China vest is probably the same 😅 thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Cooles Abenteuer.
Oh yeah that sounds like a lot more heat than mine. Good idea👍🏼 well done! Cheers mate 🤙🏼
Sehr tapfer!...
I should look into a vest like that for the colder days
Just get a cheap one, they will do the job 💪🏼 cheers mate 🤙🏼
@@MarcTravels Yeah i should! I'm learning from your videos :p
