Marc, all Dominators should have a 16ltr tank. My fx650 has a 13ltr tank and indeed looks smaller.
On another note, if you go the big supermarkets (Supermarché, Carrefour, Champion, Leclerc) on the outskirts of towns, you'll find cheaper fuel.

I left Brasilia (DF) last Wednesday and am in Natal (RN). Tomorrow I'm going to João Pessoa (PB), where I'll stay for 2 days. On Wednesday I start the return to Brasília, where I live. poorly maintained roads, chaotic traffic and heat (up to 37º...). But I'm having fun.
    good roads!

Marc, it looks like you have a spare 1 litre fuel can. If you're suspicious of the accuracy of the meters at the pumps, maybe you could empty the jerry can into your fuel tank and put the first litre from the pump into the jerry can to check that it's calibrated correctly...
BTW, before I bought a heated fleece/jacket, I used to have to stop and do some starjump/burpee exercises until I got warm again! Another tip I'm sure you're aware, is just before you leave the fuel station, unzip your jacket and point the hot air hand dryer inside (also for gloves, boots and trousers!). It usually gives at least a few miles of comfort.
Tightly sealing any gaps at the neck and cuffs and wearing your waterproof layer will also help a lot with keeping out a cold wind 👍

This journey reminds me of the last leg of a Plymouth to France to Spain to Andorra to France to Plymouth trip we did on my 07gs. Clutch went bang in Andorra (would be fine to 3500 rpm then redline and no power ). Had to avoid motorways back to Roscoff for the ferry; best trip through France so far as it made me slow down and eat in little village cafes. Got home on time, relaxed and 2 kilos heavier🍖🍻🍻🍖🍻☕☕☕☕🏍️💨👍

Hi Bro, thanks for the like on my comments on another of your videos where I mentioned a little about myself.
I’m not saying you are not aware of this and you may have mentioned this in a video I haven’t seen yet, but I noticed you mentioned less kph and it got me wondering because I don’t want you to damage your engine through being un-aware. Last year Euro zone moved onto E10 unleaded fuel so it now has 10% ethanol in it. What that means for us is less kph but much worse than that it can cause major engine damage especially in older engines. To combat this you will now need to put some special additives into your fuel each fill up, this stabilises the petrol and helps protect your engine. There are many brands out on the market. I’m using one by putoline but there are others, I am through a little research on the subject aware of many horrible stories of engine damage being attributed to this.
Please do your own checks on this and base your own decision on this subject. It’s currently costing £10 for a 250ml bottle but you don’t need much per litre of petrol it equates to 1ml per litre of fuel so 10ml per 10 litre of fuel, a bottle should last a good while.
God Bless bro and stay sunny side up ⬆️

Thanks for the research David. We still have E5 as well and I always get that. And I always get premium fuel. From my experience we have high quality fuel here compared to other countries. So all good🤗 thanks for watching 🤙🏼

I know from my Honda VFR, even if something is wrong with it, it will still take me where I need to get to. I am amazed at how much Europeans pay for things that can be bought 5-10 times cheaper. Heated into a jacket I sewed myself, it cost me $10, heated handles cost me $8. Gasoline costs in Europe is monstrous))) Good luck Marc!

Excellent video Marc. The Japanese Honda, continues to give work, I had no doubt. In terms of fuel, my Suzuki (DRZ400S) also has fuel consumption differences if I refuel it when the motorcycle stands for several days or at the end of a long distance of riding . It's clear to me that some of the fuel evaporates, these are carburetor motorcycles. Berlin is approaching and everything looks according to plan. On the occasion when you will arrive to Berlin, I will try to use your guide you if it's okay ,about the Portuguese ACT track. Enjoy in the meantime !!

I've been looking up this bike and a couple of sites say the fuel capacity is 16 litres. 🤷‍♂️
Also, apparently, a known problem with the engine is overheating, which can cause the valves seats to drop producing a clunking sound and increased oil consumption.
Appreciate your back in Berlin now and may be all sorted out, so I look forward to finding out what was the problem. 👍

Hallo Marc, I ordered one of those wests as well and was really disappointed. Didn't feel warm at all. Then I did a bit of calculation: From USB you get 1.5A maximum multilplied with 5V Voltage equals a heating power of mere 7.5W!!! And this for the entire surface of the vest (IF it would heat the entire surface, what it doesn't - despite the nice chinese sketches with red wires overall the place). I'm pretty sure either the added fabric layer of the vest or wishful thinking (warme Gedanken) kept you warm. These vests are crap. I installed heated mats normally used for carseats into my jacket then. 50W power, feels like sunshine. Cheers! Safe trip home.
