Blessings... Bobby singing Dire Wolf with Jerry pedal steel.. i hadn't heard this before.
Special daze 🎉
Thanks. Accept no substitute cover band for The Good Ol' Grateful Dead.
Thank You WoS for your continuing courageous efforts to preserve the sanity of the best people in the world. We might be Deadheads but we are not dead yet!
I’m 74 so I’m still alive to enjoy this precious music ! Thank u wall of sound ! Happy New Year in this year of 2024 ,Jan 4 th !
This is a top 5 sounding bootleg from any period -era of the GD. 🎉LOVE ❤
Darkstar is like one of the most 'alive' pieces of music ever, it does what it has to do
♾️ 🌱 🌠
The good ole Greatful Dead!
Nice soundtrack to bring in the new year. Happy New Year to all!!🎉🎉❤🌹😎
Nice hearing Jerry playing pedal steel with the Dead. Nice.
Slewfoot never heard them do this. Love early dead thanks for sharing happy new year to all my dead brothers and sisters✌️🫶
It'd good isn't it
Yes it is so good too as I agree with u !
Dire Wolf, Casey Jones and High Time had all been played live only a few times and had all debuted earlier this same month. All 3 songs were included on Workingman’s Dead which was released in May of ‘70 about 11 months later. As you can tell by listening they are all still be developed. 🐊🥀✌️
Happy new year, !!!!
Another 365 days of Dead, and another 365 days furthur
Great sound quality. I love the blue grass opening song.
I’ve never heard that one before ? I liked it very much like country music a little bit ! ❤️🐰🐇🌹🩷👽🪐🛸🚀⚡️☄️💥🥀
Dig the blotter art... And music! 🎶
Nice! Was just listening to the April 1970 acoustic set at the Family Dog San Francisco. Happy New Year All 🎉
Appreciating the upload WoS.
No words. I would give anything to have been there
Far out, The Eleven into Green, Green Grass of Home.
Thank you! Great sound, and a beautiful way to ring in the new year...
Спасибо!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Happy New Years to you all
Well Happy New Year!
Setting the tone with Slewfoot which I had never heard before was nice! That Casey Jones is the most unique I've heard in a long time. The Dark Star jam took me there like it does every time they have a natural energy that cannot be recreated. oh and those fucking drums!!!!!!!
This is awesome, thank you for making my Friday night! RI, USA
🥳❤️🔥🎈🎉✌️
Genuine sweet! Best to ya'll.
Don't believe nothing that you hear, and only have of what you see!
Thanks WoS Great way to start the new year!
Great New Year-starter. ✴
Somehow knew the Wall of Sound was lurking this nye. Happy Holidays and much thanks
Eleven makes me happy every time and when it's preluded by dark star and st stephen it's just a happiness that only we know and I'm thankful for all these great shows that were left to us by the greatest band to ever play...what a gift..thanks to all who mastered taped and engineers who made it possible. Sadly the eleven on this recording was just a tease and far too short.
Happy New Year and Thanks from Santa Rosa, Ca.!
I’m from Maine but did go to San Francisco paid for me + my niece who was Bobbys favorite girlfriend + stayed in Marin County then Billy would come pick us up to b their to the shows but I was also with Jerry + he took me to the JCB + I sat with his friend Merl Saunders ! Then went on to the Gratefuldead !
drumming at the edge of magic....
Mamma tried... indeed
thanx WOS....Happy New Year everybody!!!!
Why is this band so good???
❤
Love it
Awesome!
That playin sounded tight
Jerry is killing it on the pedal steel here!!!!
🌵🌵🌵🌵
Thankyou for this gem
Thanks Wall, this is just what I need after the Eagles played the way they did today. 😂
I only love the Gratefuldead but I like many other bands too but not with them !
In tune ta' boot !
This had to be a Acid test! Opening with Slew Foot? The Blotter cover pic is suiting👍 Captain Trips❤ Thank you WOS this is a Gem for sure! ✌
Every show is an acid test but the "official" acid tests were in 1965
Where is the real thing today? When you see it send it our way!
Buddha Bless You!
@@newusernamehere4772 Buy the ticket, take the trip!
@@stefanschleps8758 its everywhere you see, inside our technology. All that's changed are the tools, and the masks worn by the fools. Everything that's come to be is a side effect of LSD. Those who don't get it are driven mad but there's no need to be sad because nothing is ever really dead and everything is in your head
Jerry told me had seen enough after 10 trips so he stopped but other Deadheads thought he was doing it all the time but he wasn’t !
And happy new year to you WOS. The quality of sound is the best I've ever heard for such old recordings. A.I. must be having herself a ball helping to restore these recordings. Thank you for bringing some ole time joy into my life.
Dead ahead
This was the favorite kind of music Jerry really loved to do plus I have never heard this song before ! It’s great as usual ! Slew foot was the name I guess ?
'Old Slew Foot' is the nickname of the bear. This originated as an old bluegrass tune.
An embarrassment of archival musical riches. TY kind sir.
👌😄
Good ole Pig Pen was there then ! He was a great example of how good he was plus he had that deep voice that us women loved !
That dire wolf is so fast…
I'd want this sheet, I'd name it star spangled jubilee
Direbert
Is this on audio?
you don't say,
YAW SURE THAT WAS 'NT THE NEW RIDERS ?????????
Jerry was a big man all over the place but he was big in other places of his body + I don’t mean fat ! 😅😂🤣😍🥰😘
They play like they breathe
Baby Blue is the best song to make people take what they have brought with them because they have left a mess for others to pick up as I did at the JFK center when Pig pen was still with them ! I got 3/4 free tickets for going out there to pick up 2 full garbage bags of junk ! Good for me but what was wrong with the folks who left so much behind ? To high I guess ?
