Exactly, if I opened up the crown to much it would fall off and I would have to replace that too. I’m happy everything worked out, these Seiko builds have been more difficult and time consuming than expected.
hey love you videos👍 don't understand that your UA-cam is not more known. it should be. I have learned that you have to have the watch above water when you put pressure on the tester, otherwise you push water into the watch. hard to explain. 😏
You’re the second person to be surprised by my channel not being more popular. I’m not sure why either. I’m going into my third year on UA-cam posting videos and I’ve been serving watches for fifteen years. LOL thanks for the kind words!
Incredible. Are you modding the tube as a repair, or was it a defect from manufacturer? Thanks. Been following you for some time now. Learned quite a bit. Been hobby building since 2020. Your videos keep me inspired for sure.
It’s a nice watch but I’ve never been a big fan of snowflake hands, I much prefer seiko sword type hands on big watches, maybe I’m a bit bias as I’m a bit of a seiko fan but I love all watches except for the plastic Omega moon swatch, people get ripped off big time when they sink £400 on plastic wannabe moonwatch.
Sweet GMT build! Drilling the crown tube to fit a different crown & testing the water resistance after was interesting to watch! Keep it radical! 😉

You eBay posting brought me here. Amazing stuff. What does the dial writing translate to?
Good looking watch! I really enjoyed your very detailed and long form video style, well done 👍🏻
Thank you. I like the long form also
Nice work.....
Thanks 🙏 thinking of the next watch to build.

The crown was defective and the inside diameter of the tube was too small for the new replacement crown.
@@Timesradical what is the white paste you used on the gaskets?
@@romanglick it’s called Fomblin. You can find it under the name fomblube the company called Klüber makes it.
@@Timesradical thank you sir!

The controversial snowflake hands 🙌 vs the sward hands. I like sward hands better as well that military Submariner look is 🔥
