You know what the crazy thing is? At some point in history somebody went down this river (either deliberately or by accident) with no idea what it would be like, and whether or not they'd come out the other end alive.
Only complaint is covering the sound of the water with music. its good music, but its like showing a bear roaring at the camera, but you cant here it you can only hear music. the sound of the river is important, and to go far into the wilderness and capture the sounds of nature. I mean shoot dudes, that is some work carrying the equipment, and everyone would love to hear those rapids roar.
That is totally sick skill level.....guts for the task......and such great capturing of it all to share with us. 👏👏👏👏👏 Thanks for the ride and I’m subscribed 🙏🙏🙏
Same. We'll stick to the nice calm waters of Tappan or Killbuck Creek. These guys are mental! Cool af, but too extreme for us. BTW, greetings from Holmes County. Now off to Tappan with the kiddos to putter around the shallow end.

There are about 6 now maybe 7 canyons to explore. Drive about 4 hours south of Santiago into the Andes. The upper section where this video starts is about a 1.5 hour hike. They hiked above the more common put in for 22 Saltos and got a rarely run higher section. Its a hot arid desert like hike. Other canyons include Throat of the Devil, Five Teacups, The Between FAlls, Seven Teacups. Last year a couple of crews opened up the canyon below Seven Teacups. If you want all your logistics and kayaks arranged for you Pucon Kayak Retreat has lead more kayakers down this canyon than anyone. Quality equipment and best instructors. KEEP KAYAKING. puconkayakhostel.com/kayak-trips/390/3-open-spaces-claro-plus-rio-maipo-iii-to-iv/
Roman Goat it seems like most of it is 5 cause of consequences. If u took one of the drop and took it away from everything else it might be 4. Not an expert, just my opinion. It is also far away from a hospital I think.
There's a great video somewhere of a rescue on Gargantua when it goes south. Boater gets stuck behind the falls, pushed up against the side, can't roll, comes out and his boat goes downstream. Hijinks ensue. Best rescue video I have ever seen. If you are not a super solid boater, you better have mad rescue skills.
That canyon is so beautiful, I think I could a watch a real time video, full length, no cuts.
And after watching that a decision to start kayaking was made 😊
Awesome. Makes The Serpents Tail, Llangollen look like a walk in the park! ha ha

My favourite river in all the world! They should build a lift at Corkscrew so that you can do it over and over and over again.
What a crazy river
and nobody broke an elbow going through those tight canyons! Amazing
Respect from America. You guy are amazing
America is a continent

That is by far one of the sickest canyons I've ever watched on video. How difficult was it to access?

Just imho, you should be happy you don't ;) I know I am. Makes my transfers to the retirement fund look at least somewhat meaningful.

I will be there in January 2019. From Germany to Santiago at 28.12.2018 and 4 weeks more. Is anyone around there in this time?
1000th like btw
stunning river guys. How are those canyons created? Is it volcanic?
yes this is all volcanic rock. crazy to think about huh?
How much of that is class V? How much of it is walkable? How does it stack up to the narrows?

Yall read so fast...I can't imagine seeing like that.
@@tomladson7745 see you on the yarra
Absolutely gorgeous, but FUCK THAT!!! I guess if you're going to die, this is a lot better than cancer or something.
Can you turn off the music? Really takes away from the experience
