    As a uk Electrician & seeing all the spiral twists in those wires when you put them in trunking its always advisable to pull the cable off the roll in the same way its been wrapped on & you’ll never get twists. I usually put the roll down in 1 corner of the room (round side down) & yank the end of the cable while walking to the other corner of the room & a smooth line of cable comes off the roll. Or even better with many cable rolls make a wooden stand to pull cable off. You’ll enjoy putting cables in the trunking next time. Try it once & you’ll remember this comment. Great video overall, liked.

    What could be the possible causes of the genset failing to autostart(not even cranking the engine).I recently installed a similar genset with exact ATS but can't start automatically, the failure indicator continues to blink.

    Thank you Sir for your video, it`s very explanatory !
    Yet, I have one question please ,
    You connected the city main wires ( Black once ) to the ATS via a switch
    But the power coming from the ATS to which Switch did you connect it ?
    Do we need another switch ?

    • @AxiomBalkan
      @AxiomBalkan  4 роки тому +1

      Main power from the meter goes in to the ATS, and then from ATS back to main fuse board, now you can put between isolator switch just to be on the safe side!

    I got similar setup, however my ATS which is although look similar, supports 3 phase generator as well and therefore has 4 terminals on the grid/generator/out connections. Any idea which terminals should be used for 1-phase generator. Also, how did you grounded the generator and ats box?

    Nice video sir. I have a quick question
    1. If I have a 12KVA generator, how may amps do I need for the ATS?
    2. If my utility box has a 250amp load. How many amps of ATS do I need?
    3. Lastly, If the power goes out I will use about 7kva. So 12Kva is enough but do I still need a 250amp ATS since my Utility box is 250amp?

    • @AxiomBalkan
      @AxiomBalkan  3 роки тому

      Hi, thanks, if it is 3 phase gen, you need at least 25A per phase for ATS, that 250A looks a bit too much, specialy if it is for domestic use, so you need to size your ATS acording to your ussage... so if your place doesnt use more than 12KVA at any point, then you are ok with 4 times 25A...

    • @Purowalangkwenta
      @Purowalangkwenta 3 роки тому +1

      @@AxiomBalkan Thanks for the swift reply. It would be for a single phase since it's a house only. So would you think a 100amp ATS is sufficient even though I have a 250amp breaker from the main utility line? thanks and keep safe

      This generator in the video comes with ATS and cable to connect them together, you see that white cable it has 5 pin contact on both ends and that how i connected them, so they can comunicate when to start and when to stop generator... every brand is diferent, so talk to your supplier about how to connect them together...
