Ryan A Wilson I was just thinking the same thing! He seems so natural.
for once
So exciting! For some reason I pictured a beard.
Does that mean hell has frozen over??
Ryan A Wilson he is hardly ever on camara then when he is, he is a little arkward. but he seems so natural here! x
Fantastic interview! Em and Ed are just awesome people. I'm excited to see this facility come to life! Talk about dream job! And Ed, you're adorable. Don't fear the camera. We love you!
I agree Aurora Ed is adorable he should not be scared of the camera
Are they married?
@@Tina-stick yes!

Props to You both!!! You got Ed on Camera
Regarding the Tortoise discussion, there was a similar establishment in my area. They used to race tortoises and sell some of those to people with absolutely no background check, no instructions.
I learned of it when I saw a tortoise at my friend's place, and it was literally placed in a 10 inch dish with some water in it. I was just dumbfounded, screamed at my friend, took the tortoise home and contacted a nearby zoo. The guy who handled the aquariums there was very helpful and took the tortoise from me and took care of it.
After about 2-3 months of fighting, we got that establishment banned.
😧
"I've watched a bull snake sniff a log for ten minutes" lol Ed is pretty cool I'd like to see him in more of snake discoveries videos. Glad I found yalls channel. I recently just bought my first colubrid last month and I would like to get more down the road. Boas have always been my favorite but I really enjoy our albino Nelson's and its nice to have something a little easier for my daughters to handle and care for.
Hahah for sure! Thanks for watching!! Nelson milks are cool! Probably a little bit more wiry than a corn or even most kings.
Oh yeah he is very flighty! And a bit of a musker lol but he seems to be calming down a little. I've only owned boa constrictors as far as snakes go but I think this may just be the beginning when it comes to colubrids lol
Are they married?
Who else loved the Gold Fish Video 🙋🏻♀️🐠
It was so wild and now I want to get a bunch of goldfish to that size or maybe even. Of course, have an entire pool dedicated to them and a few other species so it's diverse.
I loved this so much. Snake Discovery was the first channel that made me want snakes as pets, which led to me finding Port City Pythons on UA-cam. So this was a nice full circle video.
Side note, my first job was at PetSmart (2004) and they didn’t sell snakes back then.
That's awesome!! Thank you sooo much!!
There was a time where they only sold supplies. Weird. Hahaha
Are they married?
Love y'all, got my daughter watching your video's,where she can learn about snakes, before I get her one for herself. Thanks Emily &Ed.
It was awesome to see Ed an how enthusiastic he was in this interview....big fan of Ed an Emily an snake discovery from the start of their channel! Awesome interview!😄
Right! Thanks for watching!
I really, really enjoyed this! I really enjoy Snake Discovery, Emily and Ed. I like their temperament and intelligence and non-reliance on cursing and inappropriate innuendos. The interaction among the four of you along with the humor and information really held my interest. I mean....I didn't realize this was a livestream when I began watching, but by the time I did - I was glad because I wanted to watch more. And I have only ever watched a handful of livestreams. So thanks to all of you. I am looking forward to watching more on this channel. #TakeCareBeWellDoGood
Thank you so much! 🙌🙌🙌 glad you enjoyed it
Are they married?
@@Tina-stick ~ Hi there! Yes - Emily and Ed are married.
I love that you got the tea on the facility before it even started. Like this interview could be an intro to their facility update series.
Friends and family really pitched in and they made new friends as they built. Ed quit his job before they opened, they hired employees right after retail opened so they could finish the zoo and fully open.
This was a great interview, thank you.
It was wonderful seeing such a long interview with Em and Ed!
Thank you so much for watching! We were very glad to have them!
Loved the show was Lil late but I got to watch it all was good one I watch snake Discovery every video
Thanks for watching!
Me too
Recently saw the grand opening of the building and a bunch of newer videos. Now, them talking about some of the planning process and now it's 90% done. It's so cool and awesome 🤩 and I'm so proud of them!!! 😁
So excited to see you had Emily and Ed on the show! I can’t get enough of them! I can watch and rewatch the informational videos. I would love to see you do more as well. I got a tessera corn a couple months ago. It’s from 2016 so I got it an xl eco terra with lots of branches and things to explore but it stays hidden all the time. ?
Thanks for hanging out with us! Corns like to stay hidden but give them some time and they typically warm up and will hang out in the open
This is the first podcast i listened to. I love Snake Discovery, Ed and Emily, and I love the pace of the conversation. Good job!
Ed!!!!!! Your finally on camera :D!!!!
😂😂😂 YES!
@@joe_phelan finally getting over your being on camera phobia 😂
YAASSS I know WHAT I PLAYING TO FALL ASLEEP TO!!! So soothing. Snakes dreams Ed and Emily.
Turtles are still being raced in arkansas where i live as well. Its so sad :( luckily our community and our local turtle rehabbers are working together to stop them.
Aw this is super cute to see now that they've had their grand opening. How neat for them.
I spy an Ed!
Don't take back your feelings.....LOL! Thanks for the love :)
I'm 22 and I still vividly remember learning about reptiles at a program in 1st grade. They bring so much attention and knowledge
Loved this content. Gonna binge watch some of your other content.
I dont ever plan to own reptiles, or any other pets, but I love listening and watching people talk about reptiles.
Thank you so much!! 🙌🙌 we will have a new video going up this afternoon! 😁
Two favorites in a podcast! Score!!
The elusive Ed finally comes from hiding
It was nice to see Em and Ed god bless them
I discovered Port City looking at Palmetto corn snakes! I love Snake Discovery too! This was like the biggest dream video ever!!
Thank you for watching! 🙌🙌🙌
@@joe_phelan keep doing what you do!! I love it!!
Yay! Ed got over the camera shyness! Now we get to see you both on camera right?
Not just sugar gliders. Hedgehogs are also illegal in PA, at least they are illegal to import. If anyone knows where to legally buy one I'd like to know.
Woah!
PCP you mentioned maybe doing the Havre de grace show. Fyi MD dnr requires a permit to sell corns in the state. It's only a $10 permit but you need to track and report sales.Other semi local PA shows are Carlisle and York.Sorry I didn't get a chance to talk corns with ya'll at carpet fest.
Thank you so much for letting us know that!
I LOVE these guys! And I'm not a reptile person.
When I got my snake my great aunt went out of her way to tell me how she killed a bull snake in her yard.
Really cool video..thank you again for what you guys do.
Thank you for watching!
Yay Ed is on camera
Around 43 minutes! I'm watching and thinking : wow thanks for the flowers! So i'm 30 years old and love their channel! So yyiiieiiii am I stilll considered very young? 😂
The no venomous thingies (except for the timber rattlesnake) are why I live up in northern Minnesota...well, that and the no humongous spiders!
Rocky horror is amazing def not like clockwork orange thou 😂
It's not like *anything* XD
One of my favorite movies for sure
In uk there are slim to none laws about reptiles
Wow great! Just found this know Emily from the society been to their new zoo also! Great interview! Got Bulls and corns. Etc
I'm in wi and yeah we don't have any corn snake breeders here the ones we do have have now been doing wholesale overseas so it's hard finding any available anymore locally
Even the "big box stores" and the big online stores have told me they have been exporting the corns that's why they don't have many available anymore because I tried even online at the popular reptile sales sites
Wow! So interesting. I'm sure people will start breeding their own overseas and it will swing back to high supply
@@joe_phelan I hope so!
Es is aliiiiive!
My dad grew up in a small farm town Wyoming where they would do rattlesnake round ups where they would once a year collect them, collect venom some were released, and others were killed for skin to decrease the population because of how big the population was they were causing problems and at least they weren't wasted. I don't like it but I get the purpose.
ED!!!!!!
We me and my brother and my mom yesterday we found two caterpillars
Man ... I am from Brazil... and here we are not allowed to have almost any reptile as a pet ...1 ssp of frog, for lizards only the gree iguana is legal, wich is crazy.... and snakes only salamantas and jiboias are legal and that is very recent.
I love ❤️
1:53:28 a friend of mine has an African Grey. He’s learned that if the phone rings when they’re leaving the house so sometimes if he doesn’t want them to leave he’ll imitate the phone ringing, he sometimes randomly imitates the smoke detector when people are cooking, he curses, and when the dog barks he yells at it to be quiet. He’s beautiful and can be a lot of fun, but it’s always pure chaos over there between him and the dog and I don’t know how they live with it all the time
Love u ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm surprised more snake discovery fans haven't found this yet
We got it ...
You know

I’m not late, you’re late!
I'm really sad nothing was done to the person who badly mistreated Rex! I always assumed he was fined or got into trouble, the fact he didn't and is still mistreating animals and Emily is friends with him is astounding to me :c He would get short thrift from me and reported. That man is damn cruel. Ignorance isn't an excuse these days, or even in the past. Very few people would think a tiny nailed up box is a suitable habitat for any kind of crocodilian, and I feel so bad for his other pets who sound equally damaged and neglected to the point of losing their quality of life right up to the present day! That man disgusts me. In the Uk he would be banned from keeping pets. We've had people banned from keeping reptiles here for far, far less. He should consider himself lucky Emily is willing to overlook his neglect and animal abuse. If you're wondering what I'm talking about, listen from 1:25:00 I had to quit listening after that :c
The owner wasn’t ignorant, just misinformed. I mean who knows how to have a pet alligator as a pet besides the experts? dislike :c
16:13 did i just hear ed say "what the hell?" SIR YOU ARE A PG MAN
Of course its not like they make Rick and Morty jokes
