Emily from Snake Discovery returns with a 16-foot snake!

- The biggest snake we've ever seen! That was the reaction from the crew after Emily from @SnakeDiscovery joined us. She showed off some of her awesome snakes and lizards, including one that stretched 16 feet across!
We are slowly converting Jason and by extension the staff of the Jason show to loving reptiles and I’m enjoying every minute of it

I think falon sp? is really doing so much better than the beginning as long as the head is not facing her I think once she realizes that Emily fully trains the ambassador animals and wouldn't bring anything that would bite with her so she is safe she even seemed to calm a bit when she was holding the rhino snake when emily said that he wouldn't bite. She did reach right out and grab baby spice only the middle but wasn't afraid to touch anymore just afraid to get bitten after she realizes it isn't going to happen or get bit by a baby snake to deal with the fear like it isn't that bad
The only reason I know about Jason is because of Snake Discovery
Pulling Baby Spice out of the tote like a magician doing the infinite scarf trick made me laugh deep from the belly.

I really appreciate the staff of this show being willing to face their fears to learn, and bringing the audience along for the journey.
They don't treat the snakes as oddities, they acknowledge as hey, that's an animal.

Can we all just show some appreciation for Erin who came up and held Baby Spices head with absolutely no hesitation. Let's go Erin! She just walked up like "This is what I'm doin? Hell yeah!" Just totally at peace with the big beautiful girl. And then "I feel like I'm hurting her, is there any way I should be holding her?" 🥺💙 She must be protected at all costs!
But also props to all of the people we've seen on this show so far interacting with the snakes! It's so nice seeing people who are scared of snakes taking the chance to get to know them and realize they're not big scary monsters like everyone depicts them to be, even if they're still hesitant. I love your guy's spirit!!
Erin proves that not all heroes wear capes. She had such energy, and she cared about Baby Spice too! What a lady! ^^

@@hannahphoenix3299Emily clarifies on the post she shared of this clip that it’s not really Baby Spice’s baby. She just said that on the show for the audience, so that they would be able to connect it to what was in the tote.
In reality it is the Super dwarf retic that another reptile breeder gave them. I forget the name. But if you look on Snake Discovery page, she explains this.

Emily explained on the community page that it's not her baby, she just said it so everybody could imagine what size she is. This is actually the super dwarf retic they got from Reach Out Reptiles

Another delightful Snake Discovery segment on the Jason Show! The presenters did a great job, and it’s wonderful even for those of us who get to see Emily’s videos all the time to witness what a wonderful and engaging educator she is in front of a live crowd. Great work, everyone!
You really get to see why she was successful as a reptile educator even before Snake Discovery really took off. She has so much passion and energy invested in these animals and conveys it so well.
The more I see her here, the more I realize what a great presenter, showman, and comedian Emily is to share these animals and educate ppl.
When she said she was told to bring the biggest snake they have I was HOPING she'd bring out Tiny XD

I love that there's just a Jason show playlist now. And that there's a Christmas episode! 😍 And such a cute theme was a great intro to the animals. I had to chuckle a bit when asked if tegus are fast when Ally and Howie are some of the laziest, except sometimes when food is involved. And admittedly had to rewatch and laugh a bit at the baby spice segment 😆 Nice to see Ed as well, hope we get Jason next time too! Perhaps it'll be a bit less chaotic, but I agree that Rex has to be maybe their greatest rescue story. Thanks for having Snake Discovery on again! Happy hols all 💚❤
A sign that these snakes are very well handled is how they aren't head shy! Emily isn't putting her hand in front of their faces not because they are doing anything wrong but just to make sure the snakes head doesn't go near the hosts and the snakes don't mind at all! Little spice wasn't trying to be naughty she just wanted to look around and im sure a snake that big doesn't get held much so she may have been a bit confused therefore making her even more curious! When you see these big retics on tv shows it is always chaotic, partly because the hosts are always nervous and partly because the handler has to keep the head away from the hosts and thats no easy task! If they just let the snake go where it wants it is a less chaotic experience but it still can get tricky when they start wrapping around and pulling people around 😂😮

I was not a fan of snakes. My mom pretty much made sure snakes were a thing to be feared. I've watched Emily & Ed at Snake Discovery for about 8 months and I'm wanting a snake, my family thinks I've been possessed as this is outside my comfort zone. Thank you to both of them especially Emily she is a great teacher! 3 million I helped get them over that line!! Congratulations! So, my husband’s sister is a reptile keeper and breeder, and she got me not to be scared of them so I’ve really gotten into the snake Discovery channel and Clint’s Reptiles and some others. I said to my husband a few weeks ago, maybe I could get a little snake. The blood all drained from his face and he said, “or not.” 😂
@@kaiyakershaw1028good for you for being so open minded! Snakes are honestly such great pets when you do proper research ☺️ a corn snake would be an amazing first reptile pet! Or if you don’t want to start with snakes, leopard geckos are amazing as well ☺️
Love seeing people warming up to reptiles. They're such underrated animals and pets. It's great seeing people get more comfortable and pushing themselves out of their comfort zones.

No, I don't think so, she went missing 2019 room tour shows this and it was a she so I am guessing that this was a surrender with the same name based off the story emily told and him now being male instead of female

It's always funny seeing people scared of tegus, they're probably the friendlies dogs you'll ever meet.
I'm sure they can be aggressive in the right situation, but I've yet to see one in that situation. Mostly they just seem to take things in stride and not really get flustered about anything. Well, except maybe food. XD
Loved that Ed was a part of it too! He's gotten so much more comfortable with the camera over the years and it's awesome to see❤

I love how there was an orderly interviews with questions followed by responses... until baby spice came out and then it was chaos. Also couldn't help but notice that Jason managed to miss this episode! I think you should bring Tiny the green anaconda in when Jason is there!

Baby Spice! Called it! Although I don't remember her having babies last year so I thought Pheonix. Baby Spice always looks so small curled up on her ledge, I never realised how big she was.
I used to be absolutely TERRIFIED TERRIFIED TERRIFIED of snakes and I'm glad thanks to Emily I learnt more and I had ball pythons an u know sneks are freakin cute! Especially Bps they look like little dragons and just want snuggles honestly, love being close to u and are so calming. I'm gutted I had to give my 2 up x

I really appreciate that the hosts let Emily talk! She gets to really share facts about the reptiles, and it's legitimately interesting. I hate that the really big talkshow hosts always bring animals on their show to gawk and scream at, not to learn about.

Thanks for educating everyday people about reptiles. Snakes do act different when a person is afraid of them. If you act nervous around my Boa, she won't go to you. I think it makes the snake nervous. If you say hi and pet her, she'll come to you after smelling you. If you act nervous, she'll cling really tight and turn away from you. She's only 8 or 9 months old. My friend's 7 year old Boa loves every body. If someone is nervous around her, she ignores them and smells the next person. She is a hugger. People get scared when she hangs on tight. 😂 I let her chill on me for a while and she fell asleep. Her owner had to pry her off when it was time to go home. A big comfortable snake doesn't get moved easily. Keep going on that show till every cast member becomes a rescue parent. 😂

All gorgeous, but especially those retics! I'd love one, but as Emily said, very tricky to handle on your own because of the size and weight.
Nothing quite like having your snake laid on your chest peeking up at you though (and they give the most relaxing sensation on your back given the chance to get between top and skin too!)
