Will be offering prayers for all veterans who passed away in wars or due to illness and other reasons. Offering prayers also for the living soldiers who continue to serve God and country.
Father Matt, i would like to send you the amazing story about Fr. EUGENE BRENNAN! He baptized my husband years after serving with my husband...it is a real amazing story about faith! God's Love, Mary
Thank you for this great presentation. I was in the US Army 1977-1981. I was a Sunday Catholic back then and not living according to God’s will. About 12 years ago my heart began to change through 2 12 Step programs. Today I am so happy and grateful to God for His presence in my life. God bless you and all the military chaplains, Catholic and otherwise who serve the troops so well. Be bold, be Catholic! 😊
Truly a model of bravery and courage for giving oneself to serve the country and to protect lives in times of war. Thank you Fr. Mathew for sharing and giving this talk on Catholic chaplains, which is very fitting for today’s feast day of St . Martin of Tours. Prayers for you Fr. Mathew. Thank you to the technological assistance of Brother Mark.
This is a good one for today. As a Veteran thank you. I was in the RCIA process when I got activated for my 1st. Deployment. And Major/Monsignor Donahu was the Millitary Chaplin that brought me into full comunion with the Church while we where in Kuwait waiting to head into Iraq. Millitary Catholic Chaplins are able to get special Dispositions From the Millitary Bishop to do all of this for just such occasions. Due to the life threatening nature of deploying to combat zones. I remember my second Deployment I was at a collation base we had a Battalion of guys there from the El Salvadorion Army They had a Catholic Preist with them I barely understand a word he was saying but they where beutiful Masses
For Father Brennan who knew my husband in South America and then baptized him in Warrenton. Mo. Twenty years later! He told me the truth is easy to live with...when I asked him why it didn't bother my husband that groups were saying he was a poser by saying he was never in the army special forces. Thank you Fr. BRENNAN military Chaplin in the 80s...we will always remember you as a man who loved chocolate chip cookies! God's Love, Mary
Thank you Fr Matthew!!! You've presented yourself, your service, and the military's history in the church so dignified and admirable. May God bless you with His many graces and keep you safe, and bless all peoples whom God sends your way⚓❤🩹🙏
Thank you Father Matthew, and God be with you as you minister to those in the military. I will be praying for you. I will pray to our Blessed Mother Mary for you; may she cover you with her mantle, and comfort you as you minister to your military brothers and sisters. May your Gaurdian Angel be beside you, guard and guide you. Thaks be to God. I pray for peace and God's mercy. Amen!🙏❤️❤️🎚️🎚️🎚️
Thank you Fr Matthew for this wonderful informative talk on Catholic Military Chaplains, Happy Veterans Day to you, May God bless you & strengthen your ministry, God bless the Marians.
There’s so much joy in our hearts, Fr. Matthew, upon listening to you following your holy inspiration that of becoming a military chaplain of the Marine. You truly felt the need of the salvation of their souls being deprived of the sacraments of confession, holy communion and the Eucharistic celebration. Thank you so much, Fr. Matthew, praying for you and your future flock that will be given to you, under your loving spiritual care. Happy Veterans Day! My father was also a veteran who fought in WW II. God bless everyone.
Blessings to you Fr. Matthew for your entitlement and we will be always here to Honour this Day. We asked the Holy Spirit to cover you and the Military Chaplin in this Holy duties.
Thank you Fr Matthew for this wonderful presentation. Prayers for your future ministry serving our country, although I will miss watching you at the Divine Mercy Mass 🙏❤️
My father was in the Death March in Bataan, Philippines. The stories he told me were just horrific! Thank you Father Matthew for these stories. Thank you also for your service to God and our country. May God bless you and protect you always, specially when you start your duty as a Chaplain. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Praying for all Veterans and those in active duties. Lord, protect them from harm and bless their families as well. Amen.
I recently shared this presentation with Father Quinn who is an 87 year old retired Air Force Chaplain. It was actually on Wednesday, the feast of Saint Albert the Great and when I was telling him how smart you are Father Matthew his comment was well. “He probably had a wonderful teacher like Saint Albertus Magnus”.
Thank you Fr. Tomeny for the wonderful Catholic history of military chaplains and sharing the Bataan Death March in the Philippines. i enjoy your insightful and historic homilies- we truly learn a lot
There is a beautiful stain-glass window of those four Chaplains at Maxwell AFB Chapel 2. I looked at it many times growing up as my father was stationed at Maxwell. It took me years to find the story of those brave men of God. Thank you for mentioning their story.
Thanks. I was blessed to do a Fr Kapaun pilgrimage, attend mass at his boyhood parish, as a parishioner. It’s still a beautiful farm community with solid catholic values! I was also in Desert Storm and was able to attend Mass once the whole time I was there, in the dessert- in the middle on nowhere. With many others. Thank you for this talk, a reminder of the value of chaplains in the military!
Thank you for your service and sacrifice Father😉...pun intended. My father Joseph George was a Navyman in Korea.✌️🙏❤️. Onward Christian Soldiers! Thy Kingdom Come!
I beg The Lord for my Marine son to change his heart from stone to heart of flesh again like he use to be before enlisted 🙏❤🩹😇 he was an altar boy, prayed the daily Rosary & Mass but now none of them even on Sunday only physical gym 💪🏻 so sadly, pls help me to pray for him because I named him Michaelangelo in honor of The Arcángel St Michael 🙏🏻 I hope his soul get victory to God’s glory …. Pax et bonum 🕊
Blessings and safety to you Father Matthew God bless always 🙏🙏🛐🛐
